Two staff members told me to have a great day as I was leaving and at other locations I would say thank you as I walked out but wasn't addressed. Love this Starbucks, especially their barista named "Red". He's always in a great mood, making jokes, and passing out compliments! It's never too busy since their isn't a drive-thru, and the entire staff is super friendly and neighborly. I go here all the time, they're always very fast and have never messed up my order! Put in a mobile order 10:12, was not complete until after 10:30. My two Drinks were made ten min apart. Every other store in town can manage. Historically this location has always been slow. I have not been here for over a year. Always thought it was counter orders that took forever. Employees were clearly not helping each other out. I'll literally never come to this location again. I was considering mobile ordering at the Starbucks on broadway while waiting. Would have been faster. Drinks were bad too. I feel bad writing this but this is a pass I do not recommend. This is a little late I admit - had a bit of bad health - but I'm back and I definitely want to share my experience at this Starbucks. First of all, I don't usually do reviews - but I really felt I needed to do this one. I travel a lot and have breakfast every morning in whatever Starbucks I can find. On 3/3, I was on my way from Phoenix to Kansas City on the last leg of the drive on I 35 N coming out of OKC. I make this trip every 2-3 months and ALWAYS stop at this particular Starbucks because of the great service and quiet Sunday morning ambiance! On this day my visit was a disaster. My breakfast sandwich was "not warm" (they weren't frozen just not cooked long enough) as were my 2 egg bites. The service SUCKED, What a rude girl and a rude mouth. I almost slapped her. I don't know what I did to annoy her so much but this was uncalled for. I sure wan't going to ask her to reheat my food. Further I witnessed she was a total bitch to a man and an adolescent girl. The guy left just shaking his head. I was extremely disappointed in my visit and left annoyed myself - still thinking about it when I finally arrived in KC. On this day, the place was dirty - it normally isn't. None of the tables were wiped off after people left. I wiped my own table off when I first sat down. On my many previous visits to this location, I sit, usually at the same table for a couple of hours just relaxing before I hit the road again. However I will NEVER return to this Starbucks. I didn't get the rude barista's name - it was scribbled on her name tag - there were 2 other workers but they seemed busy preparing drinks and cleaning with little interaction with customers. I just want to give thanks for the crew of baristas there on Thanksgiving morning. When my father and I arrived there was only one gentleman at the register, and one girl making drinks, and they were working their butts off! They had gotten a ton of large mobile orders, in addition to people in store, and they clearly were understaffed (not their fault). After 40 min of waiting for our drinks, two more baristas showed up to help, who were also amazing. The team work they displayed under the intense pressure they were in was outstanding. I'm born in raised in Seattle, and I kid you not, this location was busier than the original Pike place location on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We ordered our 2 grande lattes, and venti passion tea at 9:49am, we didn't get out drinks unti 10:36 am to put it in perspective. I'm not sure if it was poor management that day, not foreseeing the potential for more traffic from the marathon or what, and understaffing, but the staff did an A+ job, all without any credit ( & from what I saw any tips), and a crowd of badgering customers not understanding the circumstances they were working under. What's not to love about Starbucks when your craving a warm winter drink like a skinny vanilla steamer with two packs of splendid and a dash of cinnamon (my wife's favorite and it only took me 6 months to master that order). To a venti pikes place coffee. Or my favorite summer drink is the vanilla bean Frappe chin. With few exceptions, Starbucks certainly has mastered the process of making delicious beverages for everyone no matter the season. Moreover the ambience is perfect for relaxing, reading, browsing the internet, or a nice visit with an old friend while English your beverage! Tip: ask the barista to save the used coffee grounds and add them to your compost to give the earthworms a little burst of energy! read more

I'll start by saying that I am a fan of Starbucks, and have been for a long time. I'm not overly picky about a location where I'll just drop by for a cup of coffee. However, I am more particular about a Starbucks store to choose for my "office" when I need a place to go when working from home isn't conducive to productivity and driving to my work site is not practical. After visiting many Starbucks locations in the Edmond area, this is my clear favorite. There is a wide variety of seating choices -- including many places to sit that are not the typical hard chairs. The store is a busy one but not the kind of crazy line-outside-the-door that you might see in the middle of the city. The baristas are very good at this location. With the exception of one who seems condescending to his fellow staff members and who just seem like a generally unhappy person, the overwhelming majority are friendly and do their job well. There are some locations where you will find baristas who are more quick to know your name and more genuinely nice; that said, the ones here are pleasant and friendly. I like them. As an update to this review, I will note that over time your name is learned (if you are a regular) and the staff is very responsive to how the customer feels -- changing the temperature of the place even when needed. The clientele is an interesting mix. The location is about 1/4 mile from a high school, so there are high school kids that come in from time to time. They don't tend to take over the place though -- they get their frappachinos and leave usually. There are a few business people in typical business attire, a hipster or two, an occasional cross dresser, a regular cadre of retired folk, and some computer addicts coming to get their caffeine and internet fix. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating with a pleasant atmosphere. Some of the typical Starbucks downsides, at least in my view, are that it is often a little chilly inside -- though this has improved! -- and the 'background' music is sometimes a little on the loud side. It does make sense given that they sell hot beverages and they want enough noise there so that people sitting at tables next to each other can have 'private' conversations. If you are in or near Edmond and you are looking for a great coffee shop to get some work done or hang out for awhile, this place is a great choice. I am most definitely, a fan. read more

I cannot say enough nice words about this store. First, I consider it a plus that the store does NOT have a drive-thru. Whatever the coffee shop, it changes the entire atmosphere. The baristas have more opportunity to get to know their customers better. Secondly, there are many regulars here that consider themselves extended family. They often come to meet one another and visit. The interaction between each other and the baristas contributes to a more neighborly ambiance. The staff is wonderful. The employees take the time to get to know their patrons and value them. The baristas have a good work ethic and sense of camaraderie that enhances the experience. As a customer, I always feel valued here and make time in my day to drop by. It also is a great meet-up place. There is ample seating inside and additional outside. On a final note, there are other Starbucks locations that are more convenient, but I am willing to go out of my way to frequent this store. I think of this store as Cheers, the place where everybody knows my name. read more

Located on the corner of a shopping plaza, this Starbucks is probably best for people who are out shopping and want to grab a quick drink to go. The interior is small and cramped; I felt crowded even standing in line waiting to get my drink. There aren't a whole lot of tables anyway, so if you're aiming for productivity I would opt for another location. read more

This Starbucks is nice! During my road trip, I had a super strong urge for coffee so I stopped by for my usual tall caramel macchiato. It's quite small and cozy inside, but the workers are nice. Props! The interior of this place is quite small, but it is modern and relatively quiet so it's good to do work in. There isn't a whole lot of seating though.My macchiato was good, not too sweet...which some places can really mess it up unfortunately.
