Witnessed a mother asking about the contents of the Pink Drink for her small daughter's sake TWICE, and neither time did the barista mention the caffeine. Daughter walked away with a new drug habit (caffeine addiction) against their knowledge. Tragic and upsetting, i wish corporate would make it clearer to customers that REFRESHERS ARE NOT FOR CHILDREN. Otherwise, great location. One of the Starbucks locations in El Centro, located more centrally than other locations. Definitely the go to place for students and parents alike and a popular study/meeting place. Tables might be swamped with people studying or hanging out but it's usually not insanely crowded. I've never had any issues with service and drinks come out pretty promptly. Good place to hang out or grab a coffee if you're in the area. Parking isn't usually an issue, but the drive thru can get a bit busy depending on the time of day read more

I had the worst customer service when I picked up my mobile order. No one greeted me, and the only acknowledgement I received was when the drive thru person called out my name for one of my drinks. The barista making the drinks did not even bother to give me eye contact when she put the last drink down at the pick up area. I ordered a drink and a sandwich. I received my sandwich very fast but I waited for my drink for quite a while but nothing. I'm not a huge coffee drinker so I rarely enter this place so I wasn't sure why my drink wasn't ready. I did notice that folks kept ordering and their drinks were all being served. I was just waiting patiently. Anyhow after a while after I kept getting up to check if my drink was one of the drinks ready at the pickup counter an employee asked me if they can help me. Here in El Centro, CA., this location is one of 3 and the best one. The people here are very friendly. Is clean, well maintained and has a good speedy WiFi connection. Also the A/C works great. Driving thru and fueling up the car, decided to stop and the standby Starbucks. WOW, the drive-thru here was fricking busy, to the point where it was causing a slow down in the parking lot. Your typical Starbucks. The service was okay. nothing stellar. The bathroom line was just as long as the drive-thru. Very bad service. Everything is spot-on 5 stars, but when there is a hair in your drink and they ignore you and even accuse you of planting it there this all goes out the window. I head out to El Centro on business four or five times a year to appear in federal court. This Starbucks opened up a year back and it was a GODSEND- previously the only Starbucks was inside an Albertson's and it sucked nuts. This Starbucks is in the parking lot of a mall- Rite Aid is an anchor tenant in this center. They have a drive through, but don't go that route unless you are prepared to sit in your car for 20 to 30 minutes- the line is always five to six cars deep and everyone in each car orders frappucinos, so each car takes 5-6 minutes to be served. Inside it's just as bad because the staff is almost entirely engaged in making frappucino's for the drive through crowd. The interior was occupied entirely by Mexican-American "emo" teens- super cool! There was also a pack of 15-20 of them outside, loitering in the 95 degree heat. This is likely as cool as it gets in El Centro. read more

This Starbucks has really cleaned up it's act in the last year! This place has previously hired bimbo-like barista's with pretty faces (no brains) who would drool over the Border Patrol Agents who passed through drive through while whispering their most scandalous gossip through their head sets. The customer service used to be a joke, and drink wait times were horrendous. One year ago, I would have said that this place was a joint I visited regularly strictly because of my addiction to caffeine and the limited choice in local suppliers. NOW, I'm proud to be able to say, I go there for the truly friendly service. I'm almost always greeted and said goodbye to, by my first name. They typically know what I want when I walk in the door, and whip up a drink in a reasonable amount of time, without any hassles. There has definitely been a change in management and a new wave of employees that have really straightened this place out. There are 3 Starbucks locations in El Centro.
