Never have I been more disappointed. Not in the coffee or food but process. I ordered a sconce NOT HEATED in store but the server had to process all 20 backed up DRIVE THRU orders ahead of mine because the other worker said "I'm trying to do washing up in back" and walk off leaving her colleague to pick up the pieces. The workers here are AMAZING!! They were so sweet and fast and friendly! I wish I didn't live two hours away I would make this my Starbucks stop everyday! I am in town for a wedding and got NO sleep at all the night before and I came here they were so sweet and friendly then when I got back to the hotel my nephews dropped my brand new coffee ( which wasn't cheap ) so I came back and explained what happened and was ready to pay again and they said it was fine and it was on them! I have never been so happy to see the all too familiar logo shining brightly at me. There is like nothing in between Hutchinson until this exit, and it was a welcome relief. Just to have something familiar and consistent in sight. You would only understand if you had been driving in the middle of nowhere for almost 4 hours. It is an average SBUX, however, due to its location, it's magnificent!!! Friendly and warm, because of its small size. Amazing service. I am a partner at Starbucks and I love giving credit where credit is due. My experience was spot on to the Starbucks mission statement! They were busy and they still got me all my coffee and treats super quick and made my drinks to perfection! This is a 5-star Starbucks. The staff are unbelievably upbeat and provide really fast service. I got a coffee that was not very hot. At my local Starbucks (I am traveling from MN-CA) the response would be an unenthusiastic effort to brew some more. At this store, the barista dumped the pot he had, brewed a new pot, delivered me a cup and also gave me a card for a free drink. All done very enthusiastically. The store is kept clean. The bathroom are also clean. Gives me a reason to stop in Emporia again. read more

I came here for the first time since moving from another town in KS, and it was the pits. So annoying, that I downloaded yelp to review it so it hopefully gets better. I am sitting here trying so very hard to study, and the employees are loudly arguing behind the counter, AND about politics. Not something you can tune out, due to the volume of the conversation and how one sided the conversation is, it's hard to feel welcome here. Just want to drink my tea and use the wifi that is hardly working and jutting in and out of service. Please make it more welcome. I like this company and want to keep coming here. Absolutely terrible. All I wanted was a cup of tea and I ended up with a hot mess in the car. I wish I could have just gotten the staff to do their own job and put the creamer in instead of ruining my entire life. Sugar was an entire other thing that was even worse! Great location, I've never had a problem here. The staff are always really nice and some of them might know me by name! I love iced coffee and theirs is amazing! I have a long commute to and from work each day and it's a good day when I get to stop here and get something awesome. I had never had a cake pop until I tried one here and they are so good! Worst service I have ever had at a Starbucks.... I ordered and paid for my drinks and bagel before a large group walked in. I waited 10 minutes to get a toasted bagel which was sitting on the counter next to the toaster: I asked when I would get my bagel and I was told to wait because there was a line of people. (There were 7 people working at this location). After basically telling me I wasn't worth their time they "toasted" my bagels for approximately 15 seconds. The result, a soggy ass piece of shit bagel to go with their shitty service! I hate this location! read more
