We were passing through Erie, and stopped here early on a Saturday morning. I got a matcha latte, and my husband got a medium roast coffee, and we both agreed that this Starbucks did the drinks really well. My latte was frothy in a delicious way, and the coffee wasn't burnt like other experiences. If we're passing through Erie again, we'd definitely come to this Starbucks again! read more

Tried this location out. The drive thru on a Monday around 2pm was insane, but we decided to wait. The line wrapped around so far that there really wasn't a clear path and more and more cars kept filing in behind us. It took about 20 minutes for the entire wait and for us to get our drinks. I ordered the almond honey flat white with Starbucks Blonde Roast and Bryan ordered an eggnog latte. My drink was delicious, Bryan's drink was gross. He had it before, and said it didn't taste like this and that it was weird. I tried it and there was a definite weird taste to it, kind of tasted rancid. We didn't discover this until we were out of line and in a different area of the parking lot. We attempted to go back through the drive thru, but the line was again very long. So we through the drink out and I wrote to Starbucks and they credited my account back with the amount paid for the latte. read more

Back in September 2012, well before I joined Yelp, I did a road trip to Erie for a week. One of my main hangouts was this Starbucks. It is located in Millcreek Plaza, in front of Millcreek Mall. I remember waiting at the drive-thru years ago and was amazed that ten cars could form a line around half the parking lot back then. As I cut through Erie to get to Cleveland on my current road trip, I decided to pay this cafe a visit. It must be me. I didn't pay attention to the other stores around this Starbucks back in 2012. I just wanted my beverage fix. This time around, I wanted a bit of dessert and ordered a slice of lemon loaf. I got an exceptionally cheerful barista over the speaker. Nothing has changed. The same small pickup window is there. I had her scan the barcode from my phone app and I got my lemon loaf. There was no wait time. Just a quick sidenote that your Canadian Starbucks card works just fine in the States. I forgot how lemon loaf slices are small, but thick in the States. It is where I first got my fix for them and ended up importing them back until Canadian cafes had them. Customer service is consistent. The lemon loaf was yummy and comforting. I don't know if cafes here don't have festive Christmas bags for baked goods like the Canadian ones do. Mine containing my lemon loaf slice seemed so boring! It was nice coming back to this cafe and knowing that some things never change, such as food deliciousness and customer service. (385) read more

I went into the Starbucks, the one man was quite abrasive. Then when I ordered they said it would be 15 minutes, I start waiting and see a giant group of people who ordered after me getting their drinks while I had to to wait until I asked the workers if they still had my ticket. We ordered via the app -- 2 hot drinks and a cold, blended drink. By tht time we arrived, the staff had our drinks made and ready to go. There was clearly marked signage for entering, exiting, and social distancing. There was no searing available, but drive-thru was seemingly going quickly, I noticed, from driving there and back. The staff at this location is really nice, and the drinks have been consistent the few times that I've gone. The only downside is that you're likely to deal with the mall traffic trying to get to this location. read more

Yay starbuck's! They are kind of all the same right? This one is consistent with all the others I've been to. Gotta say though, knowing what I know about the bux since my daughter was a partner, I always have to compliment the staff. Some of the stories she told me were hair raising. In this part of the world, there seems to be some sticker shock over the price of a double macchiato. It's ok--whatever you do, don't forget to tip your baristas. They are really underpaid. I don't rate chains unless I have either a particularly good or bad experience and I'm happy to say this one was particularly good. What made the difference-the staff. So friendly, so happy looking-not like many of the Starbucks drones in Pittsburgh. He even asked us if we wanted our chocolate chip cookie warmed (YES PLEASE!) Bonus too is, unlike most Pittsburgh area Starbucks, the bathroom doesn't need a key to get in. It was pretty crowded when we stopped here to do some work but we still managed to snag a table near an outlet. Also it's near the mall and a bunch of chain restaurants if you're looking for other things to do in the area. read more

I visited store #8844 this morning for the first time to work on my dissertation. Upon me walking into the store, I noticed how clean the floor was in comparison to the five-feet piles of snow and 3" slush outside in the parking lot. Next, the counters and tables were clean, and customers had products on their tables. After I placed my things on a table closest to the door, I approached the bar, and all of the staff were either happily chatting and/or preparing orders and laughter behind the counter filled the air. I ordered coffee in a for-here-porcelain-cup and an old-fashioned donut. The baristas prepared my order quick; I was amazed because upon walking in the store, I noticed how tight the drive-thru was. I was expecting a longer wait. This is what made me write this review: a gnat landed on the lip of my porcelain coffee cup. The gnat was not in the store because it was filthy but because I was sitting by the door. I went to get a refill, and I mentioned it in passing to one of the baristas, I believe it was Sam or Abby; not complaining but just general conversation. One of the employees, maybe Libby or Meghan, gave me a $4 gift card and a free refill. Wow! I will be back tomorrow. I would like to thank Abby, Libby, Dave, Meghan, and Sam for the commitment and hard work for us who love Starbucks products. I ordered a iced brew coffee with foam here. Apparently it was ordered as to go. I like them I. The glasses cause I don't know iced coffee tastes better out of glass. The barista today seems annoyed I want it in glass, leaves it sitting there on the counter and tells me she will have to make it over. I say thank you, go back and eat my whole scone. I even here someone ask about my drink still just sitting there, they say oh it's some guys I have to remake. Finally after they make about 4 other people's drinks who came in after I got mine, not after I ordered after I got mine, I just go up and tell the barista to forget it. Pretty good service for a Starbucks. Mom & I needed a caffeine fill up while shopping and she remembered she had a gift card she had been carrying around forever. We noted the long drive thru line and crowd when we walked in, but realized because it was during Holiday drink release where they do buy 1 get 1 free in the afternoons. Have to say they moved pretty quickly through the line both to pay and to get drinks, though cashier wasn't sure if they had the Gingerbread Tea Latte, even with big picture of it over her head. She did check quickly though rather than have us order and not be there. I only get about 1 or 2 holiday drinks a year, and my mom liked her's and my skinny Peppermint Mocha Latte was tasty and not too sweet. OK amount of space inside, though some people posted up for long term studying/working. Some 4 top tables with mainly 2 top and a bar facing windows outside. Have been going to this drive thru regularly for 3 years. Staff always great, coffee is excellent and not usually a very long wait!

We stop here often when traveling takes us through Erie. Tuesday morning was our last and final visit. Employees were working up a sweat serving the drive-through and barely attending to customers inside. Ordering was painfully slow while the only employee tending to the indoor crowd was interrupted often; it showed in the mistakes made in order. Then we watched while people behind us walked away with their coffees. Reason: the order taker didn't put stickers on cups to pass to the baristas. So we would still be there if I hadn't emphatically pressed employees to make our lattes. To compensate us, the order taker gave us two $4 cards. As we drove off, we learned the hard way that the Venti latte isn't much more than hot milk. We usually order the medium size and get a little taste of coffee. What an insult to learn that the Starbucks formula is 2 oz in a medium, 2 oz in a Venti. Yuck. And the gift cards? One was empty. Nice touch, Erie. read more
