I either missed the "brick & mortar" stores or was unimpressed with the offerings at the newspaper stands or giftstores. But eventually down one terminal corridor, *lo & behold* there was an auotmated Starbucks Drip Coffee Maker! THE SETUP This was a VERY self-contained device. Like a regular vending machine that dispenses coffe, there was no one around to manage the machine, but there's where the comparison should stop. My favorite brew is the Veranda Blonde (because I'm not shy about saying that Starbucks' Pike Place roast tastes like sh*t). LE MACHINE It was fun watching all the different compartments in their interplay: * Reviewing Menu Process - the visual display was quite elegant and very clear and colorful * Selection Process - this was as sophisticated as if you were using your mobile app to make a to-go order. So in a line of 10 people, yes, that means you're waiting about 30 minutes to get your chance to scan the menu, figure out how to pay, etc. And with what currency index to use was no small thing - I was tipped by the Danish gentleman in front of me getting 5 coffees made for his family (after 5 other people fulfilled their orders) and afterwards proved that paying in the Danish currency index meant paying almost 10%-20% less depending on which country your bank resided, and the fiscal treaties in place with those countries. DELICIOUS COFFEE The coffee at this machine was actually BETTER than the brick & mortar Starbucks that was a block away from the Urban House Hostel I was staying in: the young gals couldn't just get the coffee right, and I'm not surprised. Denmark is a TEA drinking population. In fact, on the SAS flights to and from the U.S., they offered a HOT TEA, not coffee. The Starbucks and other coffee stores - driven by an increasing coffee-drinking transient community - and even their own growing population of coffee-drinkers - are going to need much more practice to get their coffee tasting right. Not the quickest Starbucks I've ever been to, but really the only reason I stopped here was to pick up my city mug since I was traveling in Copenhagen. The line wasn't long, but moved so slowly. By the time I got to the register, I did meet a nice barista. I ended up ordering a peach green tea which kind of out of this world. But the wait to get the drink was just as long as waiting to take the order. Listen, I didn't miss my flight so that's the biggest plus to me, but man, I don't need to rush back if I find myself in this airport. read more

Don't really understand all the negative reviews on this place. I've been to Starbucks in many different countries and this is like any other Starbucks. Well, the seating area was bit more boring I guess.. I went here in desperate need for coffe/sugar and tried their Frappucino caramel- OMG it was oh sooooo good! The waitrers behind the cashier were polite and also packed a caramel brownie and an apple crumble pie to take away. A star down for the high prices-they aren't even that expensive in Sweden. read more

If at all possible I will try to avoid Starbucks. There is just too much good coffee in this world to waste your time with this mega chain. I only came here because I needed a place to sit, really. I bought a coffee anyway, and it was awful. It's pretty much what I've come to expect from the Starbucks so won't bother making a big deal out of it. Compounded with being at the airport, I expected nothing halfway decent, so no surprises there. The saving grace was the exceptionally friendly staff member who you just couldn't help but like. The caramel apple slice was pretty decent and was quite helpful with washing down that dirty dishwater- I mean, the dark roast coffee I had ordered. read more

I must be spoiled with US Starbucks, because this one totally did not rock my boat. First, its insanely expensive. I think I did the recalculation to USD a few times, because surely a caramel macchiato & fruit cup couldnt cost $20+, right? Well it did. And it tasted NOTHING like US Starbucks. If you don't request a disposable cup, you get it in a ceramic one - that is not "to-go". Where if you order a tall or grande, it seems you get about the same amount of coffee. (Yes, I'm being a cheapskate, I just paid over $20, for what in the US would have been half of that. Damn you krones!) So I get my cup, which appears that it may have not been washed the best, and as I drink it, I wonder... should I go up and ask for a re-do, this is Denmark, maybe there is no "sorry we messed up, here's a new one", or I'll have to go into a 10 minute explanation with the folks that look like English wasn't a requirement on their CV. Oh, for crying out loud, Denmark! I know you're expensive, but $7-$9 for a cappuccino?!? Unfortunately this place and its Terminal 1 location is a necessary evil for me, as it's the ONLY coffee branch in Scandinavia that I know of, who sells super dark and fresh tasting French Roasts. No other chain or supplier has yet come close to the dark oily bean I require, and should you claim otherwise, I advise you to get a friend to calibrate your computer monitor for you. Normally I try and stock up in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, since a 150 gram bag of Fairtrade French Roast will leave you 69 kroner poorer! (As opposed to £3.30-3.99 across the UK, or €5.50 in Berlin.) On the plus side, if you stock up and buy 4 bags, they give you a free coffee drink, even a gigantic size if you wish, with your purchase. In this way, it kind of offsets my 3 zoner fare to the airport, and the exorbitant 69 kroner beans. It'd be much nicer in the end if somebody would open a store in town. read more

The most overpriced Starbucks ever, but it can be necessary evil when you're flying early as their double espresso is something that can wake me up from zombie state. Staffs are polite but don't get any food here. Like their coffee, their sandwiches are insanely overpriced. The peppered bacon & egg sandwich is wonderful but it's definitely not worth 49kr. I know food selection here at the airport isn't appetizing, but the bright side of it is you're flying off here. Get your meal somewhere exciting instead! read more

This is a Starbucks right outside the arrivals areas at Copenhagen Terminal 3. Very convenient location to wait for arriving passengers. The restaurant advertise itself as a genuine StarBucks. Two things to consider. i) They do not accept the normal StarBucks cards or the mobile app for payment. Sorry regular credit cards or cash. ii) The prices are significantly beyond those in US. A regular latte is $10, which is twice the price in US, so come prepared if you are in need of a caffein infusion. The place is as slow as most starbucks and somewhat noise, but not a bad place to wait for people arriving. read more

Quick order taking at this starbucks. Ordered drinks are visibly in queue so you know where you stand. Fast service. They serve decaf which is great! Choc chip cookie was noticeably cold. Was able to pay using my swedish money. Centrally located by h and m. Departures monitor right above you when u r in the starbucks area. Lots of tables and chairs. Not sure why customers are not bussing their trash after eating or drinking even though the cafe is self service. Comfortable couches. read more

I'm not a big Starbucks' fan but I do love the Spiced Pumpkin Lattes! I think it was only last year that they finally came to Europe. Europeans, I was told, see pumpkins as savory things to eat and not something sweet to drink. Obviously that is changing since they do offer them. Anyway,at this particular Starbucks I just ordered a, you guessed it, spiced pumpkin! The service was good, as it usually is, and I didn't have to wait very long for my drink. They also had the Copenhagen city mugs here. I do have one from Copenhagen but this was a new design (mine is 5-6 years old) but I did avoid the temptation to get another one. Next time! read more

This is like that closest Starbucks in south Sweden and all of Denmark and to be able to enjoy a Starbucks coffee you have to have a boarding pass. That's a shame. But to be honest, who needs Starbucks in Scandinavia. We have excellent coffee at almost every cafe or restaurant (just make sure it's brewed coffee). The thing with Starbucks in the America is that it is a guarantee to be the closest to Swedish coffee you can get (Fika in New York City is closer). And when i can get a grande for little over 2$ dollars in the states you have to pay around 6-7$ at this place. read more

In America, it is rare for Starbucks to be fast, kind, personable, and efficient all together. When I came to this Starbucks, I was a bit worried I would not be able to get a seat. This whole airport mall seemed to be out of seats. Luckily this Starbucks seemed to be the place with people coming and going. I had someone I was with reserve a seat. I would recommend that you tell another your drink choice or memorize that person's choice so you can get a seat. The line went very fast considering the fact that it went out to the main walkway. The employees were very friendly and spoke great English (which is a plus for someone like me!). I loved the wide range of great moist pastries and cakes they served. They made the drinks exactly how I wanted, which is rare in America, and the hot drinks were actually served in glassware, which is something I have never seen in Starbucks before this! The only flaw to this place serving glassware was that there was no designated place to put the dirty glassware and the employees were very busy behind the counter to really keep up with the high volume of people coming and going. If I ever return to Copenhagen, you bet I will be visiting here again! I highly recommend visiting this Starbucks because the great service and coffee was something all Starbucks should look up to and follow! read more
