Hard to review. I got a vanilla latte which was actually quite sweet for me and the barista initially balked at my request for a new one, when she did make a new one after convincing it was the complete opposite and had no sweetness. They certainly may have good drinks but based off my drink would not recommend coming.

Islatte. Cold latte with caramel syrup.

I have been told that the first rule of dealing with addiction is acknowledging, that you have one. Well, here goes, I am a coffee-holic. I can drink coffee any time of day, multiple times, and still go to sleep at night. When I arrived in town, my hotel room was not ready, and i needed a place to hangout. So I walked over the local coffee house on the corner. In this case, it was the Espresso House. To my surprise, I thought I was walking into a bar or lounge. If Pier 1 and Starbucks had a baby, this would be the place. The chain has taken a lot time in choosing the decor, to make it comfortable and inviting. Nice deep leather couches and chairs, as well as hardwood furniture wall paintings and accessories galore. Once you get passed accessoration of this place, there lies a coffee bar, where the staff greet you with enthusiasm. I looked at the menu, and for a confessed coffee-holic, I could not make up my mind. So I did something I would not normally do, I chose something off of a picture menu. I chose the ISLATTE aka ice latte. It was great. Caramel sauce, milk, espresso, blended with ice and topped with whip. To add my "misery" of course I added a pastry. I spent a few hours there taking it all in drinking more ISLATTE, to one's content. I highly recommend this place. You can't go wrong and you will be with great company. Bon Apetite.

Very busy coffee shop, great coffee, power plugs at most seats so you can work on a laptop and charge a phone while having your coffee.

Very nice coffee - friendly service - amazing cinnamon rolls and a tasty mocca latte !

I really like this place!! It's centrally located, the bathrooms are clean, wifi is free, the place is huge (2 stories) and the couches are cozy! My new fave coffee spot when I visit Copenhagen! --BB from California

Great for tourists, but I feel like it's not really a spot for locals. There are sooo many other cafes and bakeries to try

This shop was super close to our Zleep hotel right around the corner. They have a sign that says early bird special and caught my wife's eye that says get a croissant with a purchase of a coffee for only 5 DKK. She mistakenly read it as coffee and croissant for 5DKK but we realize we read the sign wrong or it would be too good to be true haha. It's ok. We went the next morning at 8:45am on a Saturday and this early bird special is only available for one hour from 8:30-9:30 Saturday Sunday or 7:30-8:30 Mon-Fri. Nice coffee shop. Barista was super nice. This place takes credit cards no problem. They have a few selection of pastries. We really like the croissants because they were super hot and fresh. Just baked right out of the oven with a nice fluffy bite into it. If your looking for super fancy latte art, not sure if this place is good at that. They do have a good interior seating and a nice section of outdoor seating as well. A coffee and a croissant came out to be around $5.75 USD for the early bird special is not too bad compared to NYC prices.

The woman working inside spoke perfect English and made me an excellent oat milk latte with perfect foam (hard to do with oat milk). I also ordered the simple breakfast that had a nice, fairly dense biscuit and a homemade jam and butter as well as some great Swiss cheese. Finally, although vegan, the woman working here made me an absolutely PERFECT boiled egg, in my opinion. Wonderfully creamy on the inside, but not runny, and a perfectly cooked white. Bravo! Stop in for a coffee or pastry, you won't regret it.

Absolutely no regrets as this was definitely the best breakfast I had during my trip to Copenhagen. This quaint coffee shop was filled with good vibes and extremely unique decor. Seriously! It had tools on the walls, a motorcycle, and it just overall felt warm and inviting. Most of the patrons (minus of me of course) were locals and I could tell this was also their go-to spot. There was only one employee there at the time, but he was super patient and super chill. There's honestly no other way I can accurately depict his energy! I ordered a breakfast plate that came with a freshly baked roll, cheese, jam, butter and an egg (cooked in a way of your choosing) and it also came with coffee (however you liked it as well)! I opted for a soft-boiled egg and an oat milk latte. First off, the roll was SO soft and delicious. The oat milk latte was super creamy and didn't have any remnants of "burnt coffee" taste. It was perfection. Also, I must mention that the egg was cooked perfectly! Getting a well-cooked soft-boiled egg can often be a challenge but he was able to achieve at Petrol! All in all, I really enjoyed my visit to Petrol. It was the cherry on top to my trip and it helped start my final day in the city to a great start. Definitely would return during a future visit to Copenhagen. Thanks so much, Petrol! You're truly a gem.

Food - 5 Service - 5…read moreValue - 5 Great spot for lunch in Copenhagen. Get here early if you want to order the special of the day or they may run out! We arrived at 1 PM on Friday and they were already sold out of the roasted pork. We ended up ordering the Chicken/Bacon/Avocado sandwich and the Chicken/Chili/Cheese sandwich and then debated on whether to get the berry smoothie (but some folks sitting nearby eating sold us on how great the smoothie was -- and they were right!). The sandwiches had good flavor and we ended up splitting each one -- which gave us some variety for our lunch. There isn't a lot of seating available here, so if your hotel is within walking distance here, I'd recommend taking it to go and then eating in the hotel lobby/courtyard. That's what my wife and I ended up doing.
