    Starbucks, Lafayette

This was my first office for the day and first coffee, spending about 3 hours here with their wifi. The coffee was the same as usual, the seating was comfortable and the place did not fill up with customers. It's a Starbucks and is similar to others. But at 6am, they were open and that's why I was here. If other coffee shops would please open earlier, I would go there instead! [Review 20594 overall - 128 in Indiana - 1575 of 2023.]

    Terrible looking flat white

The baristas here make a terrible flat white. I don't understand why is this drink so difficult to make. I do my best to explain what I would like and my drink still shows up wrong. Seems to me like more training is needed.

Very very noisy. 630 in the morning, and the music is absolutely deafening, can't sit inside at all and sitting outside means you're next to the freeway listening to the core of traffic. Why can't music be inside only? My husband likes the coffee and I do like the turkey bacon breakfast sandwich.

Drive through pickup for app order. Prompt service. Coffee tastes same old. Glad they have oat milk for my dairy sensitivity!

I enjoyed the graphics and art throughout the store. I especially appreciated the sip lids replacing straws. Sippy cups aren't for kids only. The service was great and the tea was as excellent as always. Go for the sippy cups. Come back for beverages and food.

This location is conveniently located near the interstate for travelers. I live close by, so I love this location and like to stop by on my way to work. The staff is incredibly friendly and my order has always been perfect! Sometimes I see the same staff, so over time I've started to get to know some of them which is a real treat. They can get very busy at times so keep that in mind if you stop by during prime time.

We usually stop here on our way to Chicago. Besides that, this place is ALWAYS so packed, as you can see from my image. 100% of the parking lot was full, so people parked on the side street by the grass. The place is typically like any other Starbucks, nothing better, nothing worse. The bathrooms were clean as well, which is a plus. Over all, the place is fine. Starbucks, is Starbucks, not some café in Europe with brilliant latte art perfected by skilled barista's.

We were greeted by the 2 staff members behind the counter. (I didn't catch their names) But they were super friendly in discussing the menu and giving their thoughts on a variety of drinks I named. Java House has a good sized menu, so be prepared to narrow it down. lol. (I ended up going with the Tedster. As the staff said, it's been rated a customer favorite! I see why now!)The Tedster is a salted caramel latte: available in hot or iced. I got the iced version and it was delicious! It was the perfect blend of sweet and savory. I would definitely order this drink again. The store was clean and they have a few tables inside for customers to sit and enjoy their beverage. They also have pastries as well if you need a quick bite. Overall, great staff, great experience!

I think I've finally settled into this place although it's out of the way for me to make regular visits. (Note to managers: look at Veterans for your next location.) I had the Pesto Provolone Muffin and it was tasty and fresh. I'm not into the super sweet drinks they serve but a latte with oat milk hits the spot. The interesting thing about Java House is that ALL drinks are made with either cold brew or cold brew concentrate. My latte is made with the concentrate, not espresso. Purists may argue it's not really a "latte" but it does taste like a latte. If I could stop at Java House more often, I would.

The Eleventh House seemed like the perfect stop for elevenses, because they are a coffee shop that also sells sandwiches (bagel sandwiches). The food menu consists of basically just bagels and bagel sandwiches, but that's fine, because The Eleventh House makes a great bagel sandwich. They also offer random little nibbly things, like hard-boiled eggs with dijon mustard, kimchi, citrus slices and "half of an avocado with a crazy amount of Old Bay," which I'm going to have to try to make at home sometime. Some of their sandwiches have exciting things in them, like pickled daikon, burnt pimento cheese (why does that sound so appealing?) and onion jam. I opted to keep my lunch rooted in the quotidian, so I got a Ranch BLT (bacon, iceberg lettuce, tomato, avocado, ranch seasoning, Kewpie mayonnaise) and the Turkey & Havarti, which is mostly just that. Maybe my choices were a little basic, but sometimes the classics are where it's at. These sandwiches were very tasty! The coffee shop / restaurant feels very open, with natural light coming through a skylight window and plants everywhere. It's a nice place to sit and chill for a while. When you dine in, they give you a number on a tarot card to place at your table. My tarot card was the Three of Wands, which I've learned represents the threshold of adventure, a call to leave your comfort zone to seek enlightenment in the world. (And, perhaps, an invitation to live deliciously?) How appropriate.

They claim as their inspiration the perfect alignment of a "copper moon" and their mission "to create evenly roasted, uniquely smooth, high-grade coffee." I won't claim Copper Moon as my absolute favorite coffee, though it's definitely one I've turned to even before I knew they were actually an Indiana company. They have cafes in Lafayette, West Lafayette, and also one in West Lafayette at Purdue University. Copper Moon Coffee, however, is available in retail outlets nationwide including HEB, Albertson's, Kroger, Meijer, Giant Eagle, Market District, Costco, Target, Sam's Club, Tops Friendly Markets, Brookshire Grocery Company, Southeastern Grocers, and Associated. They also sell to offices, restaurants, hospitals, universities, convenience stores, and even vending kiosks. There's a pretty good chance you've had Copper Moon Coffee without even realizing it! They offer a variety of coffee bags, drinkware, wearables, swag, and they have a variety of coffees. Copper Moon is a Safe Quality Food Level 2 Supplier and in terms of sourcing they focus on three pillars: 1) Social inclusion to empower women farmers 2) Economic impact on the income of small farmers 3) Environmental coffee production systems. The more I've learned about Copper Moon, the more I've liked. They manage to maintain a strong flavor of Indiana while also growing into a large, national company. The Gutwein family roasts awesome coffee and they genuinely know how to market it. If I were to pick a favorite, I'd probably go with the medium roast Stargazer! You can also order their products off their website and you'll likely be surprised by the different types of coffee that they offer. If you're in the Lafayette/West Lafayette area, you can also experience one of their coffee cafes!
