My go to (which was also to go) was a cappucino with a single shot of espresso. The single shot sometimes throws people off as most US made cappuccinos are made with 2 shots (and baristas often scratch their heads at me wondering what to do with the extra shot!) The barista at Curitiba was friendly and accommodating - and made the perfect cappuccino - with just the right amount of diesel without the bitterness (that is symptomatic of a strong coffee). Well this was unexpected…read more.. Okay.So first, they have friendly people who really know the restaurant that they're in, which is kind of cool.And this place is amazingly clean. So we got pies, me and my wife.We got pies. I got the meat pie.The very first one on the list and I have to tell you it was great. I did make a mistake though. If I had to do it all over again, I would wait till it cools a little bit. I would not cut it in half. I would very carefully remove that top crusty layer, ohh, my god, what a feast of flavor. Secondly, for god's sake, don't cut the d*** thing in half. Use the little plastic fork and knife and cut about an inch and a half or two inches of the crust off of one edge of the pie. This does two things first.It lets you taste this amazing crust by itself.And on its own and trust me, it does stand alone. That when the pie cools a little bit more, then, you can pick it up and eat it from one edge, All the way through to the other edge. Because if you cut it in half, you have to deal with the widest part twice.And that gets it all over your face. But hey, if you're a face eater, go all the way. We got the dessert pie, it was small.We cut it in half, and we each had half.And that was easy to deal with in half.But make no mistake, this is a good meal.And they have so many options. And might I say good options. Now, I have to come back so many times to be able to try all the different kinds. However, if you're just driving through and you want something to grab and take in the car with you. Yup this is the stop. She ordered the huevos rancheros. They were missing jalapeños which was a bummer and they use wheat tortillas only. She said, don't get it twisted they were still bomb. Our server listened to what we ordered and gave suggestions. They've only been open a couple months in this spot but they were very busy for a Wednesday brunch. The manager stopped by the table to make sure everything was going well. They have a lot of seating inside and out under a pergola on a patio with lots of space as well. It's bright inside with two breakfast bars on each side as you walk in. I'd like to see one open in my hometown. It was an all around amazing experience. All in all, it wasn't the worst, just a very slow Sunday breakfast with food that was fine but could be improved.
