New business to Stafford! Came here on a Saturday at about 11am. We got seated with 2 people right away. They do allow you to join a waitlist online though, if you suspect it will be busy. The food was delicious. I ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes and the goat omelette. Big fan of the creamy goat cheese. Service was great. Prices are super reasonable. Would recommend for breakfast/brunch.

My Husband and I tried turning point for breakfast and we were very surprised with how spacious it appears inside considering how small it looks from the outside. We were greeted right away and sat within a few minutes. Our waiter was thorough and polite. And our food came out quickly and was delicious. We will definitely be going back. The only downside to turning point that I was able to witness was the lack of readily available parking. I'm not going to ding them for that.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining here before they even officially opened the other day and OH. MY. GOODNESS. I already know I'm going to be a regular. It's BYOB (which we love), so my group brought champagne and mixed it with some of their brunch preserves -- highly recommend if you're feeling a little fancy and creative. I ordered the "Just Beet It" juice, the vanilla coconut brew, and we started with the fresh berry cornbread French toast... and I'm pretty sure I briefly left my body. Heavenly is the only word that comes close. Then came the shrimp and grits, and let me be very clear: this was the BEST shrimp and grits I have had anywhere. Not "pretty good." Not "one of the best." The best. Ever. The Sriracha honey alone deserves its own fan club. The service? Top tier. The energy? Immaculate. The little details? They serve iced coffee with a coffee ice cube so your drink never gets watered down. Genius. Actual genius. I cannot say enough amazing things about this place -- just go. Bring friends. Bring champagne. Order everything. Thank me later.

Well, today I decided to stop for breakfast before a doctor appointment. This was my first time at the turning point in Stafford Va. First The good: atmosphere seems great. They have both inside and outside seating. My server was awesome, (sorry I forgot her name.) I liked the pot of coffee so that I could just pour more myself. I ordered the rise and shine breakfast but neglected to read that it didn't come with a meat, so I ordered that as a side. I asked that my scrambled eggs be soft and of course they were not but I still ate it. I got pancakes and potatoes. The potatoes could have been cooked just a little bit more, but all in all it was a fair breakfast. It's 50-50 for me if I would come back to dine unless Invited. It just didn't wow me. Sorry.

Yesterday, my girlfriend and I visited Turning Point for brunch. The atmosphere was fantastic with working individuals, friends, and families. The food was good; I wanted to try a few things, and I went with the Cubano. The service was slow; we received our coffee drinks seconds before our food. I did notice other tables having to wave the server down. Hopefully, as time goes on, that gets better.

We've been waiting for this new brunch joint to open and it opened just a few days ago, so we decided to give them a try for lunch today. After checking their site, I noticed they use Waitlist, so we did this before leaving home. This was on a Thursday and our wait time was 15 - 25 mins. We got there about 15 mins later and still had to wait about 15 more mins before we were seated. I will say that it's great they use this service though, as they were busy and I can imagine they're busy on weekends too, so this is helpful! Service by everyone we encountered was GREAT! It was friendly and they were engaged with customers and our needs. The menu is basically breakfast all day with lunch options as well. Since we were there for lunch, we stuck to that part of the menu. We tried a cup of their tomato bisque and a cup of their turkey chili. The tomato bisque was ok, but the turkey chili was incredible! The flavor, spice, and texture was awesome and I couldn't tell I was eating turkey! I just wish they served a piece of bread w/melted cheese to go with these... maybe their tasty tortillas ships to go with the chili instead of bread; definitely something to go with these soups it preferred. The entrées were great too... We tried their Short Rib Italiano Sandiwich and it was outstanding! The meat in it was so fresh & tender and all the flavors were so good together... But the bread was outstanding! So soft, flavorful, and fresh - YUM!! Also tried their Seaside Jersey Club as a half and half with their Fiesta Crunch Salad and both were incredibly tasty and fresh! Again, the bread on that sandwich was awesome! Flavors were great and the ingredients were fresh!! Again, our service, provided by Sallay was awesome!!! She kept an eye on us, stopped in regularly to check on us, and was engaged with us the entire time! I sure hope they're able to sustain this level of quality and service, because it's truly was sets a nice place like this apart from the others. We'll be back!!

I was lucky enough to get an invite to their friends and family soft opening, which was really exciting, because brunch is my favorite! Myself and for friends came in to eat the Sunday before they opened to the public. From the moment I walked in, everything was beautiful and clean and every employee was friendly and patient. Our server, Cat, took GREAT care of us! She did her spiel perfectly, yet was still personable. As we were ordering drinks we noticed there was no alcohol offered! That's a deal breaker for a few of my friends, but then they explained their BYOB policy. If you're over 21 you can bring in your own beer, wine or champagne and order a carafe of orange juice if you need a mimosa. That's AMAZING! Most places are charging over $10/ brunch cocktail, so this actually saves you quite a bit of money! I will say, they do not have ice buckets to keep your beverage chilled, but that's fine by me! Everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the cornbread French toast with berries, the avocado toast (we added pickled onions, bacon and goat cheese) and the smoked salmon platter. There were no capers on the smoked salmon platter, which was fine by me, as i dislike them but one friend was saddened by it. For Entrees two of us got shrimp and grits, two of us got steak and eggs, and one of us got the healthy fit meal. Let's start with that one: it looked healthy AF. one comment was that the veggies were well seasoned, but the eggs in the omelet had no seasoning. The steak and eggs was actually made with short rib -- anywhere I go, if short rib is on the menu, I'M HERE FOR IT. It can't with greens and a citrus dressing, but I opted for a fruit cup instead. It was So, so good! I'm used to short rib that is so tender it falls apart upon your fork, and this was not that. Once I was chewing it did fall apart quite easily, so that was good. It had tiny peppers in it, but they were mild. I thought the were cherry tomatoes at first! The shrimp and grits was a cheddar grit with shrimp (no tails!) And caramelized onions on it. It had a side of cornbread and Sriracha hot honey to drizzle upon any and everything. Phenomenal. One of the best shrimp and grits I've tasted! For beverages we got cold brew coffees, cold pressed juices and orange juice to make mimosas. Everything was honestly so damn good that I KNOW I will be back, and soon! In fact, one of the friends I brought with me went back four times that same week for the shrimp and grits! This place is amazing, I highly recommend to any and every body!

French pressed coffee- so delicious and outstanding!! You can taste the difference

Amazing service and outstanding food that was made to order with everything fresh. It's sad that the name is the same as an organization known for racism. But this restaurant has been around since the late 90s and has no association. When you visit you will immediately see how welcoming, friendly and open they are and how amazing the food is.

Turning Point in Stafford is a great new spot for breakfast and brunch, and it's already making a strong first impression. The atmosphere is clean, modern, and welcoming--perfect for a relaxed morning or a laid-back weekend brunch. The menu stands out with a mix of classic breakfast favorites and more elevated brunch options, and everything tastes fresh and well-prepared. The coffee is also a highlight, making it an easy go-to place to start your day. Since it's a newer location, you can tell they're still training staff and working through the flow of service, so things may take a little longer at times. That said, the team is friendly, attentive, and clearly putting in the effort, which goes a long way. Overall, even with a few growing pains, Turning Point is definitely worth visiting. The food quality and atmosphere are already there--and once they fully hit their stride, this place will easily be one of the top breakfast and brunch spots in Stafford. Highly recommended--especially if you don't mind a short wait while they dial things in.

Based purely on the quality of the food it would be 3 stars. I am a foodie who leans paleo, so my standards are rather high. I ordered the Black Angus Salad, which from the name I expected to be topped with steak, however it was basically sliced deli roast beef (and not the good stuff) on a salad of romaine and iceberg lettuces with diced tomato, red onions, and blue cheese. It was mediocre, but all ingredients were fresh. It also came with pita bread triangles. The balsamic vinaigrette was obviously from a bottle as the oil and vinegar did not separate, which was also disappointing. The menu is simple with a few breakfast items, a few salads and a majority being subs and sandwiches. It is a good place to go in a pinch. There is a Five Guys in the same little shopping strip.

Nonetheless they really put in a great effort into this location. I do question if this is a corporate owned location, as most employee are too nice for a typical franchised location! I do see myself coming back more in the future. I hope, that as this location becomes more noticeable, that they can keep up all the things that set this location apart from other locations! I will leave a little side note about the entrance/exit of this location: The only proper way to enter is by traveling eastbound on RTE 630 or southbound on RTE 1. This means that leaving the business makes it harder to access I-95 or RTE 1 again. Although I don't mind twisting the rules to my benefit, some people (like your average traveler) may be frustrated by the unnecessary extra time spent getting the car turned back in the right direction. I would still recommend this place to those looking to elevate their 7-Eleven experience!
