Ok I have been a fan of Starbucks for years but since the Covid pandemic they have gone down and fast ! I like their convenient and have one on every corner. I use to like their coffee and tell they took away all the sugar, free options and only have a vanilla sugar free option pretty much. When I get my drinks, half of the time they are made incorrectly, don't taste right, missing some thing, or they are always out of some thing. I honestly think they charge way too much to pay for coffee to be wrong so I'm just kind of done with that. Secondly, I am done with them talking politics when it is a coffee shop and it's about the coffee should not be political, not a fan of that Lastly, the main reason I continue to go to them is because they were no other coffee places here until Dutch Brothers. Today was the first day I tried Dutch Brothers never thought I would like them and oh my goodness they are delicious not only was the service amazing over there and they had smiling faces. Very pleasant customer service, but their drinks were amazing. Made correctly half the price and so many more sugar-free options. Bye-bye Starbucks. read more

Also, not being able to refund unless someone was physically there when the item was bought online to begin with... talk about a major inconvenience and waste of time. I give this place 4.25 stars. Four stars for consistent, fast and friendly service. Minus .75 of a star because the layout of the store is just horrible. As soon as you walk into the store, many times you will walk right into the queue like a brick wall. It's also hard to leave the store because of the queue. Of course this is only during the peak hours which is almost every hour of the day! There aren't many tables and chairs in here and they're all usually occupied. Outdoor seating is usually available. The food, the beverages and Customer service are consistently good even during peak hours. If you can put up with the annoying parking lot and the poor layout of the store, then I can recommend this place to you. read more

It's a bit of a wait. I would suggest ordering ahead through the app so you get faster service. It tends to be very packed in the mornings. It serves great coffee. If you aren't in a hurry and don't mind the wait you should definitely check it out. Just be prepared to wait and plan ahead. 10/10 on coffee beverages though. read more

The employees at this location (for the early morning shift) seem to lack friendly interaction with customers. The girl behind the counter did not make an effort to be friendly or even smile. I'm only rating their food. This is the second time I've had an incident where something I buy from here has mold on it. Last time i got a cookie from here and it had mold on it. I used to love the megpies they sell here but after finding mold on it, I don't ever want to buy one again. Won't ever go here again. Rude and disrespectful I went in today for my birthday to get my free drink as I usually do. Well apparently my Starbucks cards birthday or something got changed because they rudely told me it wasn't my birthday I even tried to show them my ID to prove it was my birthday. They blatantly told me no they don't care. If you plan on getting an *Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso* DO NOT GET IT! The coffee is either always burnt, or it even sometimes tastes acidic every time without fail. If I could show how many times I have ordered one of these and it tastes like what I mentioned above, then I would have about two pages worth of examples. I have given this Starbucks many different chances to make it right, however, this was my last time attending this Starbucks. I will not be going back. I will say from other drinks I have ordered, have tasted good, but the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso is not good. I cannot recall one time I ordered one and actually liked it. No, it is not just the drink. I order from the "Olive and M" location as well and it tastes nothing like the "Yosemite and G" drink. A change needs to be made, maybe retrain Starbucks team members on how to make an Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso? Maybe they're making it wrong and not following the correct recipe. I don't know but SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE CHANGED. I have never even made a Yelp review before but here I am. I have even called to get a replacement drink once before, and I'm not the type of person to do that. Even the replacement drink wasn't much better. The first time I ordered from here instead of the starbucks from the mall ( which is terrible btw!) it was excellent. Second time, they were out of items that as a coffee place they should not be out of... such as blond espresso. I never said they're out of a lot of things a lot of times. The third time I ordered, there was a long wait even though my estimated time for pick up through the app was 10 minutes from the time I ordered. I had to wait for them to make the drinks. Today order it again and I still have to wait. This becomes a littleAnnoying as people are busy and they should take care to make sure that their app orders are done just as quickly as the people who walk in. I called ahead to make sure That's the extra espresso shots that I ordered in my Frappuccino we're not tossed when there was extra edit an additional cup was used instead. Many times I order at his shots and I end up with one and then take up when I know that I just added four additional shots or more. She did not know if my order was even made but she did agree that they could remake it. I said my order should be made because it was supposed to be ready 10 minutes ago. She told me that they were so busy and that I can understand, however after reading the reviews I can see that they do not do the Apple orders as they come in and tend to deal with the customers who walk in instead. This is frustrating what is the point of using the app? I am beyond frustrated with Starbucks at this point and I'm glad to know that there is alternative coffee choices right down the Street and around the corner that are direct competition to Starbucks. Although I have never gone to Dutch brothers or other espresso places I think it's time for me to make the switch. Customer service is everything To me. All of the Starbuck's in Merced are well managed. The downtown cafe has a nice view of such establishments as a theater, hospice, redneck bar, and other small town busineses! The Cinema is next door and people watching is a natural actvity while seated at the window inside, or enjoying a sidewalk table outside. Mornings are bustling with attorneys, medical and law enforcement professional, and a variety of local characters, from bangers to Harley Guys. Parking can be a problem unless you are fit enough to walk half a block. Stop by and add to the ambiance! read more

If you want to sleep at a Starbucks and get your order wrong three times in a row this is the perfect location to go to. Employees are too busy chit chatting with their friends walking back and forth behind and in front of the counter. You're either working there or hanging out. Since when does Starbucks allow your friends to just hang out behind the counter with you. They didn't even have the time to warm up my breads instead they just tossed them in a bag with the plastic still on it. read more

This is easily the worst Starbucks I have been to. For some reason the service is always slow, the drinks are always inconsistent, and the service is hit and miss. I'll admit this location seems to be overcapacity given its small size and foot traffic. But it also seems to be understaffed at critical times around 3 PM, where at times I wait 20 minutes for a sloppily made drink. My does starbucks continue to slide.. Starbucks has pretty much lost its 'premium' brand appeal with the lower quality drinks and poor training/staffing. read more

I went and had a mobile order and I gotta say that was the fastest order made. Staff seemed great also. Parking is kind of cramped, my drink was overly blended and it was also missing the salted caramel just salt missing because they ran out.
