Be aware that parking in their parking lot is unsafe. The camera that is located by their back door is useless and not hooked up to their system so views of the parking lot is blind. They only have views of their lobby area. If anything happens in the lot, like a robbery, theft, any crime, they won't help you at all. The district manager doesn't care either. They won't even offer you a coffee if you're burglarized. Just something to keep in mind. The district manager completely blew me off and acted so fake. It is rare the occasion I purchase a venti and this morning I purchased three. Don't you fret, though - they weren't all for me. Keeping that in mind, the orders were perfect. A non-fat white chocolate mocha with no whip, a non-fat caramel macchiato, and a mocha; all were piping hot and ready to taste. In addition, I bought a plain toasted bagel with cream cheese. This was also not problematic whatsoever. What was problematic, however, was that the staff seemed out of it today. They thought I ordered a grande for the white chocolate mocha and I was originally handed a ham and cheese croissant. Still, they corrected it right away and it was early Friday morning. Very friendly staff, but severely limited parking. This is one of those that when in Rome, you do as the Romans do, and that's just that. Definitely not my preferred Starbucks. read more

Ordered a grande mocha Frap with a shot of espresso. Cashier very nice but the employee who made my drink seemed distracted. First she kept getting the orders prior to mine wrong and when it came to my order again she got it wrong. So there is never a mistake in the charging what we order but if I would have not paid attention just because she kept getting the orders before mine wrong. She would have given me my drink without the extra shot of espresso. The thing is that I would be more understanding if she was new and really trying to focus on what she's doing. Be prepared to perform 12-25 point turns and to receive stares of awe from the outdoor seating area as you contort yourself to get into your car (because the car next to you is eight inches away) and perform a near miracle to maneuver yourself out of this tighter-than-a-nun parking lot. I have a friend that lives in Coral Gables and we make frequent stops at this Starbucks whenever I'm in town. I usually have great experiences at Starbucks and this one was no different. The inside is actually very nice. The furniture is well arranged to create a comfortable, cozy vibe and there's plenty of seating. I've never had a chance to actually sit down and do some work, but I always see people chatting early in the morning or working at their computers throughout the day. The service was also excellent! Every time I've come it's been a more than pleasant experience with the employees. I've been in during incredibly busy and incredibly dead times, both resulting an happy and patient baristas. I couldn't ask for more in a big city. I'm going to sound like a tourist here, but the pastry options are what stick with me. I tried a guava and cream cheese croissant (believe me, I know it's not as good as the real thing) and for a main-stream coffee shop, it was delicious. I will say that like everyone else, I think the parking situation is awful. There's very few spots and they're all pretty small, but it's also Miami so who am I to complain? I'm always amazed when I travel abroad and see how nice and luxurious Starbucks are in other countries (Colombia, Peru, Chile, etc.) and then I come back to Miami and my local Starbucks' are so much different and run-down. This location has to be one of the worst. The parking lot is a disaster. Inadequate, tight and accessible only going North on 27th Avenue. The employees (at least the one the helped me yesterday) looked like a former/current gangbanger. There is always trash in the parking lot and the store is old and should be demolished/renovated. I'd suggest Starbucks build a new location much larger and more easily accessible on Coral Way. Overall, I don't like coming here at all. This is a Starbucks closest to my house and I'm here often but it's generally a frustrating time. First off the parking is very difficult so if you can, walk it. The most frustrating thing about this place is that they crank the music so exceptionally loud that if you need to talk on the phone or want to listen to your own music even on headphones you really can't. I have passive noise canceling headphones and right now with my music on high and I can still hear their music at full blast. I've asked multiple times on multiple different days to turn it down and the workers always get frustrated by the question and at times turn it up a little louder after you ask. I get it because they want to be able to hear the music while they're working but the speakers are all in the corners of the room where you sit. If they would simply move one or two of the speakers closer to the work area I think all the patrons would be a lot happier. read more

The parking lot is small and at times hectic but their fast service makes up for this. Sometimes they take orders so fast that they mess it up (this is not always bad as they reward you for their mistake with a pass for a free drink next time you place your order). Fairly close to my office, yet not really my Starbucks. Let's examine why. First of all, it sits awkwardly on the corner between 27th Avenue and a very busy laundromat. This is not in itself a deal-breaker, it's just that this Starbucks shares its already-meager parking with said laundromat. Not only that, the spots are TIGHT. You're going to run a high risk of getting your car dinged up by careless door-opening. Inside, it's pretty spacious. The employees are generally competent, a big improvement over when this location first opened. It can get really cold in here, they crank the AC in there big-time.
