I ordered the spicy tuna sandwich with no tomatoes. While waiting on my order, I happened to look up to see the young lady who took my order had put tomatoes on the sandwich. I said "no tomatoes" so she apologized and removed them to finish the sandwich. Once I got to my office to eat, not only was the bread toasted so hard like crisp crackers that I couldn't enjoy the sandwich, she also didn't scrape the remnants of tomatoes off or simply start fresh. Finally open, Joe and the Juice provides plenty of healthy and yummy options! Located in the Bright line station, this spot has plenty of seating and very cool and attentive staff. The menu is huge and plastered on the wall, so everything is clear! I ordered Joe's Club as well as a Cocoa Shake, both of which were really yummy! I don't know what bread they use, but it's so savory and not to heavy. The shake, which is more on the liquid side, was really good! And I even added 2 shots of espresso to get a kick out of it. My only gripe is yes, it's pricey for what you're getting. A large (16 oz) shake and sandwhich pretty much totaled to $20. But the food quality is excellent I can definitely say! They do offer membership cards for different items on their menu, I got the drinks one where you purchase 10 drinks at the small (12 oz) price but you get the large size and free shots/add ins. So if you go frequently, you will save with the membership card. I also expect it to get busier as more people around the restaurant-less area as well as more travelers start to visit the station.
