Came here on Saturday, husband went it and ordered. He has to repeat his order to the cashier 4 times (kept saying white mocha and he kept having to say, no- just a regular mocha each time!!!) and then when he got his drink his order was still wrong. We came today (Sunday) on our way back out of town and I went in. I had to repeat my order twice and they got the order wrong again. I simply said triple tall mocha latte with no whip, they gave us a double tall mocha latte with whip... It also took 25-30 minutes both times. Ridiculous. read more

Well it was well staffed, numbers wise! Only saw 1 name tag, crystal, which it seemed was very put out getting my oatmeal, and when I asked for the fixings for traditional was handed/thrown nuts and sugar, when I asked for the dried fruit it was very difficult for her to throw that at me with a snotty attitude, like are you fricken done yet? I went to get a managers card and there were none displayed, then asked for one and was told hmmmmm idk! Another drive thru and college town! DISAPPOINTED! Starbucks is Starbucks. This location is about 5 minutes from my house so its incredibly convenient with them having the drive-thru. I've never had anyone be other than kind and helpful. One time when trying to pick a sweet treat to go with my coffee they were out of almost everything (the night before Christmas Eve, I believe) and the guy at the window felt bad so he told us what they did have and let us (my husband and myself) choose one each for no cost. It was great customer service. My only complaint is they get so busy at times, the parking lost can be a hassle to handle with the drive-thru traffic, people walking, and people parking. The employees don't get to design the location so I know it's nothing on their end. But larger parking lots would be nicer! read more

This is the slowest Starbucks I've ever been to! I came here every day consistently for the week I was in town and I came several different times of day and gave them the benefit of the doubt for a good week but 100% of the time it takes over 30 mins to get through the drive through. The whole point of drive through is to be quick! Most of the time I'd get to the place where you'd order and the first thing they would say through the speaker is give us a moment please which usually ended up being 5 mins before they would even take my order then another 5 to 10 waiting to get to the window. The manager really needs to either be fired or taught a thing or two about hustling! read more

Placed an order on line to save valuable driving time on my trip home. Gave my name to baristas as I entered and confirmed my order, waited 20mins. Finally after the lengthy wait, I asked the barista how much longer, while my husband stood there tapping his foot for me to hurry up, and she turns around and pulls it off a counter behind her where it had been made and sitting. I told the curly blonde how long I had been waiting & she told me I should have given my name when I came in. I explained that is exactly what I did. She just shrugged her shoulders and kept on making drinks. Pooor customer service!!! read more

I like this 'bucks for sipping a pricey beverage and gabbing with pals. However, the parking lot can get very packed; I wish they would enlarge it. Tiger Town must have the most Starbucks per area in the Auburn-Opelika area, as there are small ones in Kroger and Target as well. Maybe caffeine promotes shopping or something. read more

I never thought I would give a Starbucks 1 star. This location has lots to offer but it fails. You wait for the cashier for a great length of time to have it questioned it appears. This has happened with numerous cashiers over the months. Drinks to be made was backed up 15 deep one day and it was no happy hour promo. Then they constantly get orders wrong . First, you should know that there are few things that I love more than Starbucks. This location (not the company) is the most horrible Starbucks I have ever been too. They are notorious for messing up my drink order. It took them 15 minutes to make 3 cups of coffee the other night! Coffee!! I just left there again, and again they messed up my order. This is by far the worst Starbucks that I have been to. I travel through the Southeast on a regular basis. The drive thru lady greeted me in a rush like I kid you not her level of speech speed took me back to New York. This is the South. Folks live a lot slower here! Anyways, so after her super speedy mumbled greeting I asked for a tall white mocha with 1 pump of the syrup, no whip and stirred. A very simple order right? Wrong! She said give me a moment. She repeats the order back to me and says low fat milk and 1 pump with no whip right? I said no ma'am, the milk is whatever milk you normally use, just 1 pump, no whip and stirred. She gave me my total and I said ma'am I am not finished. So I ordered one of the egg bites then she gave me my total. I felt completely rushed, on a Saturday morning when I am off work, I was already stressed out! Anyways, I move forward to the window and another young lady greeted me and took my credit card. I said to her...now you didn't sound as rushed as whomever is taking the orders on the speaker. She said to me, no ma'am, there's two of us on the drive through this morning. So when the young lady came back with my items I mentioned to her: "whomever this other person is please let her know to slow down and to ask is there anything else." She said yes ma'am I will let her know. So I get back on the interstate on my way to auburn and take a sip of my coffee and lo and behold it is wrong. I looked at the sticker on my drink and it said no whip, stirred. What about my 1 pump only? My coffee was the normal 3 pump tall white mocha. Not only was she rushing but she also got my drink order wrong. Guys, this is not New York. If you feel that you need to rush to take these orders at least do it right. Otherwise, there is no point on being fast. I will call their corporate office on Monday to file a complaint after reading bad reviews about this particular store here on Yelp. It is ridiculous! I love the location of this Starbucks, however that's the only thing positive I can say. Every time I go through the drive thru, something goes wrong. Either I get a hot drink instead of a cold one, they charge me for espresso shots I didn't order, or they conveniently up charge me in some other way. Not to mention the countless times I've had to tell them NOT to put whipped cream on my soymilk drink, which I've never had to do at any other Starbucks. As a large chain, I realize these issues seem trivial but it's enough for them to lose me as a customer. The management is lacking, as well. Ive never gotten so much as a "I'm sorry" from anyone there. Details are important. From a specialty coffee shop such as Starbucks, I expect more. Well... I would not have thought it was possible, but after 2 years the service has gotten worse. Someone gave me a Starbucks gift card, so I thought I would give it a try on May 8th. What follows is my ordeal and realization that this Starbucks is no different than the McDonalds around the corner when it comes to service and quality. At the price points Starbucks charges, that is without discussion ...unacceptable! Not so fast my friend! I walked in at noon on Saturday and there were a whopping total of 3 people in front of me. The girl behind the counter continuously left the register to socialize with the other employees. I eventually made it to the counter, requested a grande black, shaken, unsweetened ice tea with no water - clearly available on the menu hanging behind her. She had NO idea what it was and told me they did not have that. I finally got frustrated and told her I wanted an unsweetened ice tea. So I pulled out my gift card and swiped - Error. I swiped it again - Error. I tried a 3rd time and received the same - Error. Let's be clear, I checked the balance before going into the store and it had a $12 balance. I realized there register was not able to read a freaking Starbucks gift card or the girl behind the counter didn't know how to work the register. I then pulled out my debit card, swiped it and was not surprised to see the transaction approved. She then proceeded to pull out a paper cup (used for hot drinks; e.g. coffee) and asked me my name. I asked her to stop writing my name on the cup and explained to her that ice tea goes in a clear plastic cup. She seemed surprised. Um... There are no words to describe my level of frustration at this point. I walk over to the corner and wait for them to pour a damn grande ice tea. By this point I have been in the store over 10 minutes and have only placed my order. A friend walked in and I suggested he high tail it to the Starbucks counter in Kroger, otherwise he would be stuck at this Starbucks for hours. They finally call my name at which time I walked up to the counter, got my tea, put the straw in, threw the straw wrapper in the trash, and took a GIANT swig of ...FREAKING SWEET TEA. At this point I have 20 minutes invested into this ice tea and was gonna get what I ordered. So I waltz back up to the counter and told them I ordered an unsweetened tea while showing the barista the receipt. 10 minutes later they finally handed over a grande, black, shaken, unsweetened ice tea - of course they added water even though I requested them not to add any. In the end, my last trip to this Starbucks was a 30 minute odyssey to get an iced tea due to complete incompetence. I took photos of the receipt and the time when I got into my car as indisputable evidence, but can't post them to this review - Sorry. My recommendation for this Starbucks- go to the Einstein Bagel Company directly across the street. read more

My husband and I came here today and they were super busy. There were only two people on the floor (I'm not sure if someone called out or if they were just understaffed) and they handled the situation superbly. They didn't show their stress (which I'm sure they were feeling), they got everyone's orders out surprisingly quickly for the situation, and most impressively: they kept all the customers happy regardless of the less than ideal circumstance. This Starbucks location is very convenient to I 85 which was helpful on my road trip due to I didn't have to drive too far to get a "pick me up". I decided to get a caramel flan latte, but I was disappointed to find out that they didn't have anymore syrup for that beverage, so I quickly chose a regular Caramel latte with toffee nut syrup. It was good yet I felt as if they put a little too much syrup in my latte due to the fact that it was very sweet and I don't like that taste. This was my first time at this location, so I'm not going to judge them off of one visit so most likely I will return again if I'm in the area. Was really packed today because of the unicorn frap. I was gonna order Togo outside but it seemed that it would go faster inside so I went in. Just my luck, it actually took longer. I ordered a peach green tea cause the mango they ran out. The girl at the cash register was really nice. However, a lady made my drink and kind of just put it to the side. It wasn't until another lady picked it up and read my name. Never thought this would happen to me at a Starbucks. This is the absolute worst Starbucks in the system. I ordered a venti iced green tea. First they were out of venti cups. Ok fine. Had to get a trenta. After waiting in the drive through for over 10 minutes, I finally get to the front of the line. The girl hands me my drink that is entirely over flowing causing it to spill everywhere in my car when she hands it to me. No apology or offer for napkins. I take a sip of the drink and it tastes like pure garbage. I will never attend this Starbucks again. Had to wait a good 15 minutes in the drive through to find my order wasn't even ready, despite the fact they had at least 3-4 other drinks waiting on some unknown patron(s) behind me. When it finally came it was just thrust out the door at me, no "sorry about the wait" or even "kiss my butt". Awful wait coupled with a customer no service experience. My husband and I needed a pick-me-up on a recent road trip home. After traveling many miles, this Starbucks location was the only coffee spot we could find so we stopped. What a disappointment. My husband ordered his usually basic coffee with 2 creams and 2 sugars. I ordered a caramel macchiato. When we got to the window, the girl taking our money was rather rude and impatient with the other employees. After driving away, my husband too a sip of his coffee and realized there was no cream in it at all. My supposed caramel macchiato had no caramel taste to it at all and was a bitter disappointment. Considering we had already gotten back on I-85 and still had several hundred miles to go, we weren't about to turn around. It was just a $7.00 lesson learned......sometimes chain places are always reliable!!! read more

I'm from Phoenix, Arizona, which is one of the most Starbucks heavy states in the country. I went to this location thinking it was going to be fast and delicious, because there were so many people. When I first got inside there was a line which is normal. Fast forward, I get to the cashier, order a venti green drink and a grande pink drink, and pay, then wait for my receipt, but the cashier just stares at me, laughs, and says "Ok, thank you" like I'm and idiot. I still never received my receipt. I wait for about 5 minutes an employee comes up to me and tells me they don't have the recipe for the green drink and I have to choose again, I just decide to do another pink drink. It then takes another TWENTY MINUTES for me to get my drinks. By this time I was beyond myself and will never, ever go back. read more
