Walked into this coffee shop and immediately felt like I was about to accidentally join a Bible study but in a chill way, like maybe Jesus is just here for the vibes. You wouldn't know it was religious unless you looked around long enough and thought, "huh... is that a cross or just trendy minimalism?" Tried the coffee. It was... present. Not bad, not particularly good, just existing peacefully..probably praying for better beans. The caffeinated lemonade, however, slapped me awake like a Pentecostal sermon. This place is a hidden gem! Midtown Coffee House is an absolute wonders with coffee, sandwiches, and desserts. The "Guac Star" sandwich is amongst the top sandwiches I've ever enjoyed. Highly recommend! I get the iced Latte (With chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon syrup) and absolutely love it. They place your drinks in mason jars if you dine in. The service here is very friendly, and the ambiance of the coffee shop is very relaxing. There is a back area of the coffee shop,specifically for people who want to study and have a quiet area. Service was extremely slow, like 15-20min slow which for me is a game changer. I typically don't have the patience in anything that I do to give up that amount of time if not absolutely necessary. The coffee shop itself was warm, welcoming, cute and cozy. If you're in no hurry at all I can see it being a relaxing spot. That's the exact opposite of my personality as much as I wish I knew how to relax and go slow, it's not really my vibe. I like to get my coffee and get on with life. My pumpkin spice latte with oat milk and pumpkin pie oatmeal were both 5 STAR. Super yummy!!! Highly recommend. I can't wrap my head around waiting 20min for these items. I'm not sure if service is always this pace but had the items been ready in what I would consider a more reasonable time (5min or less) I'd say the place was 5 STAR but service being this slow is not 5 STAR in my opinion. read more

What a nice, relaxing atmosphere with excellent food, coffee and tea, and ppl. When we came in , they were doing a bingo like game . We went to the far back to eat and drink for silence, so we wouldn't interrupt. There are a few nice , cozy areas to eat at.. We are well pleased. I saw it had good reviews but it's even better than I expected . We got the curry chicken salad croissant, which was homemade, down to the deli bread, and also we got the chicken kale Parmesan salad, which had in house dressing. They were both excellent. So glad I didn't end up at Jason's deli. This is much better. The tea, hot and cold were excellent and house. The next time we come back, I'll get coffee, it was late I the day. I also like that this "coffee shop" is open until 9:00, unlike any others. Skip the Starbucks and come here . Also, the muffins at extraordinary. The ppl are very friendly and prompt. Completely acceptable but not spectacular. Stopped in while sprinting through the area, and was starving. Plentiful parking in the lot behind the main street. Not many choices for lunch for those who don't eat meat, and for vegans, a super tough sell. Forget about gluten free. My grilled cheese was unremarkable for the price. Apparently it came with choice of bread but I wasn't offered one. Pickle was inedible. How are pickles bad? Iced tea (not sweet) was suitable and free refill was appreciated. Restrooms were clean and plentiful (2). Not happy about complete lack of COVID protocols including sign on front door "This location does not consent to any enforcement of any local face covering requirement upon this property." Ugh. Well, will eat outside, but it was alarming to see unmasked staff, ungloved staff touching food products. And tables outside were not sanitized between customers in the 30+ minutes I was there. Staff was pleasant. There was no system to let them know who ordered what, so I witnessed one of the staff wandering around with a two plates of sammies, trying to find the owners. Numbers handed out to clients would solve that problem. For ice tea and grilled cheese was over $10. Not the kind of cost I'd expect in this area, and certainly not for just okay eats. TL/dr: acceptable iced tea, no COVID protocols. read more

I love the atmosphere and the employees are great. The hot chocolate is great. I'm just not a fan of the coffee and I've tried it several different ways. It just has a weird flavor. The food is ok. There's one sandwich I like but so far what I've tried needed more seasoning. I do recommend going, you might like the coffee. read more

Bottom line up front: This coffee place is great. I was really craving an iced smoothie style coffee blend (like the ones from Starbucks). Well, I found it. This has by far the best coffee blend I have ever had. They have many choices to choose from. They also have bomb delicious breakfast paninis. Nothing is greasy. The coffee never leaves a trash film on the roof of my moth like other places. Even just there regular warm lattes are great! People are kind. It gets pretty loud and rowdy in here around 1900 on Friday night but that is because it is a bomb hang out spot. I hope y'all enjoy my picture. read more

I want to tell everyone about this special place, but I also don't. It's a great neighborhood spot with some of the best people you'll ever meet. The coffee is as good or better than anything else in Columbus. You can also feel good knowing you're supporting Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee which provides fair wages to farmers in Rwanda. The sandwiches are great, and the sides are fresh and different from what you'll get at other places. I like the cowboy caviar or kale salad. The baked goods and desserts are fantastic. The scones and cinnamon rolls are served warm, and they're delicious; however, you're missing a treat if you don't try the homemade granola bar. I enjoy going to this coffee house quite a bit it's rare to sit down and enjoy our coffee here because parenthood but when we do go the atmosphere is fairly relaxed and laid back. My husband and I both agree it reminds us very much of our dating days when we would go to a local small business coffee shop. The baristas are friendly (I will note much more friendly than another local coffee shop that we sometimes visit). I was told about this little gem from a good friend and it did not disappoint. My husband and I came in even though it's kind of out of the way for us but I liked it so much I had to come back a second time that week. We aren't really educated on what kind of coffee we like besides the normal drip at home but they were so nice and helped us navigate what would be good. I ended up taking their suggested and got the Smores latte (toffee and toasted marshmallow) half syrup bc I'm not big on overly sweet coffee. My husband ordered just a cup of black coffee. He was raving about how good it was and mine was perfect. We loved the feel of the place and being able to see other customers studying at their computers or doing their Bible study that was so refreshing. I also loved their stance on freedom to not mask. What a lovely coffee shop and cafe!! Great first impression! I got the spinach, egg and feta panini for breakfast. It was perfect! So delicious and only $4.25. I didn't get anything to drink but everyone around me loved what they got! The environment is great for reading or working quietly but also a great place to meet with a friend and chat! The staff is incredible. The girl who helped me at the counter was very patient while I was being indecisive. She was helpful and very pleasant when I didn't know what I wanted.
