Well Starbucks you let us down.......15 minutes AFTER my mobile order was supposed to be ready I received a message that said "Status isn't available. Check with the cafe for the latest on your order." There were many customers standing around waiting for their mobile orders, some had ordered even before I did. Finally a barista came and told us all that their printer wasn't working so they would have to go back through all the orders and start making them. After waiting so long already I was running late for work so I had to leave without my breakfast. read more

This place needs more workers. Also not consistent on their refill policy. Some workers give you exactly what you ordered again and other workers charge you for the cold foam on a refill when you had it on your 1st drink. Wish the seating was more comfortable also. read more

I come in here to get coffee and get my day doing, not catch an attitude from a barista, which was my experience for the third time in the last couple months, by the same employee. If you hate your job, quit. Don't be rude to nice customers. Other than that, I know this is a very busy store, but you can go in there with 2 people ahead of you and still wait 10 minutes for a drink because they're behind the counter socializing with each other rather than serving customers. I'd also like to see them stop using a plastic cup every time I bring in my own (which is 95% of the time). Care about our planet a little more. Please. read more

This is your standard Starbucks, but what's not standard is the wonderful service from the employees. This is the only free-standing Starbucks in Owensboro, and it is always slammed, so kudos to the awesome employees for quickly keeping up with the crowd and keeping a smile on their faces while doing so. I will also point out that Starbucks' coffee tends to vary in tastiness between visits, but this is the most consistent Starbucks I've visited. There is an indoor seating area with multiple tables and outlets to plug your computer in, and a nice patio. However, there is no drive-thru, which seriously needs to be reconsidered! read more

I have only been to this Starbucks once when I first moved to town. I was treated quite rudely. It was 8:00 am on a Saturday and they were out of their Bold coffee of the day. I said I was willing to wait for a fresh batch. They acted like I was giving them a paper cut and putting lemon juice in it. One barista, a girl that may have been 20; but no older, asked me why couldn't I just order what they had available? "Because it isn't what I want. I guess you don't want my money." This store was my home-away-from-home while visiting my family. Easy, free, fast internet and strong coffee! I could while away the hours in the comfort of this cafe. My only nit pit is the speed-of-service. It always took longer than necessary for the baristas to make my drink. I would give 0 stars for afternoon shift if I could! The shift manager was very rude and I left there feeling embarrassed and upset. The morning shift people I would give 5 stars because they are so nice and caring. My first time going there in the afternoon was a terrible experience. I love this Starbucks. I always make the effort to drive farther to go to this location rather than the one in the local Target. The staff is super friendly, always talking to you and laughing. And unlike other locations, they seem like they're really having fun with what they're doing. Besides the customer service, the drinks are very lovely. I wish there was a 0 star rating available. I guess it has became common place for a majority of starbucks to have poor and very standoffish barista's. I guess I fail to understand why you would have 6 people working, but only 1 taking orders and 1 making drinks. I know there are daily tasks to perform, but making customer's wait in very long lines (like mentioned in other reviews) can put your customers behind in their day. Not only that, but if I smile and say how's your day, the proper customer service would be to replicate that greeting, not give me a smug look and rudely say what can I get you. I'm sure I'm not the only one that wishes starbucks would put some emphasis on customer service. Oh and don't try to engage the manager Megan, she's not a very outgoing person, she's the leader of the unfriendly group. I am very very impressed with the staff here. They are very kind at heart, very hard workers, and they all have great personalities. I think of Starbucks as a second home. Even when I'm in a bad mood I know I can leave Starbucks in a great mood. I really adore Rachel, Laura, Dominic, and James. They always are in a good mood and light up the room. These employees work very hard and professional. It is also very clean and I truly love coming here. I am usually an outspoken fan of Starbucks and give them a big pass on customer service when they are busy regardless of the location. However my experience at this particular location was extremely disappointing. I was psyched to try the new Holiday Spice Flat White and stopped in around 7 pm on Tues night. While the place was crowded, I was the only customer waiting. There were plenty of servers but it seemed like no one was interested in taking my order. Once they did take it, there was certainly no sense of urgency about getting it made. It seemed there was a greater need to get the rug cleaned and replaced and have some sidebar discussions. What it actually seemed like was the person responsible for taking the orders and making the drinks wasn't doing it and no one else was going to step up and do it. That is terrible customer service and should never happen. I will not go back. The drink wasn't good either. read more
