I enjoy my Starbucks.. I moved into the Brice road area three years ago and this ended up being my local Starbucks. The morning crew are excellent prompt with excellent customer service.ive frequented here so much that they greet me by my first name every morning when I walk in for my venti drinks. I decided to stop by today to get a matcha latte prior to ordering I asked if I could used my $3 any drinks coupon (pictured below) that's scheduled to expire tomorrow 7/20/25. The barista said no even though I told her the coupon expires tomorrow. Long story short got to the window showed her (Alyssa-claims to be one of the managers) the coupon, she looks at it saying the coupon expired. I told her no it doesn't expire until tomorrow. She proceeded to put the code in her computer looked over at us saying the profile shows that the coupon expired. She had zero customer service skills. Due to her lacking customer service skills and being rude I decided I was going to go inside hoping to speak with someone else. I go inside the store talking to another employee, she walked up to the cashier involving herself in the conversation claiming that "we" my mother and I were being disrespectful to her. my mother didn't say not one word to her other than to hand her my phone because I was the passenger She wouldn't keep quiet she kept being aggressive even when the second manager came out from the back she wouldn't allow us to talk.i had to tell her that I was done talking to her in hopes she would stop talking over us. I even told her to find another job if this one doesn't make her happy. She took that as a threat idk why. I'm sure Starbucks can listen and watch videos of our interaction. I say all of that to say Alyssa should not be a person in a leadership position. She is rude and condescending. If this is the type of manager Starbucks likes to hire atleast force her to take some customer service course. I don't know what goes on within Starbucks training in general but especially this location. How is it possible I get the same drink every day and it takes different based on who makes it. Absolutely insane. Train your staff better, to be more consistent on the recipes required to make each drink you advertise. I should not have to get my drink remade at ANOTHER location and waste my time. On top of a bad tasting $7 drink, you want to have ignorant/incompetent staff that dont know left from right. Ok, let me start with this. I'm not one for coffeehouses. Nothing wrong with them, I'm just not a coffee, frappuccino or anything else along that line kinda drinker. But I blame my mother for that (here's where he goes off on a tangent...). Momma used to have me make coffee for her for what seemed like hourly intervals. I got so tired of the smell (we weren't allowed to drink it when we were kids - probably because she was hogging it all) and even more frustrated with the constant requests to make it. Momma was addicted!! One day, I said, "Momma, you're a java junkie!" I don't want you to think my parents were abusive, so I won't tell you what happened. Suffice it to say that it didn't end well, especially when dad got home from his 3-11 shift. But I digress... So the smell takes me back to those days. I guess I have a conditioned response to it now, making me hesitant to drink it, even though I HAD tried it and didn't care for it. Ok, so why the review if I don't like coffee? Well, I went in with my wife because she had a gift card and watched her order the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Creme Frappuccino. She convinced me that it wouldn't taste like coffee. Call me a neanderthal, but it did. Nothing for me please. Give me a milkshake or a malt to go with my Chicago dog. And if I need caffeine, gotta have my pop (not SODA). Tonight, we went back (remember, she's got that gift card) and she ordered a Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade (can't accuse the nomenclature team of not being original, that's for sure). Now THAT wasn't bad. I recognized the peach aftertaste, more than anything, but it's something I can drink. But no disrespect to the establishment. It's a cool spot. Hey, it was a clean, welcoming and pleasant environment and I'm sure, for those who want (and need) the coffee thing, this is probably the place to be. I mean, the fact that they're in just about every romantic comedy should be testament enough! I travel past this Starbucks a couple of times a year and it happens to be the most convenient place to stop for badly needed coffee. However, NOT ONCE, out of the dozens of times that we have stopped has everything worked. Either the service has been terrible or they have gotten our order correct. We always order very standard stuff from the drink menu. Just unlucky I guess. Today, one person started our grande sized drinks, put the espresso in and promptly went on a break allow the espresso to cool and leaving someone else to finish. One drink was only 2/3 filled and the other they forgot to add the requested whipped cream. Just unlucky? read more

I come here early mornings And the baristas are always so friendly. I usually get the same thing which is a salted Carmel cold brew With extra salt. I order online on my way to work for pick up. On the app there is not options to add specific things or delete items specifically For one particular item. This includes the extra salt. The customer service seems to be something that they take pride in. Now when I come and my favourite barista is there she does a little extra every time. But when they were finally done THEN they started making my latte and then I told them my honest opinion about oils being better for your body and they decided to start insulting me! The nicest people on earth are live, well and working at the Brice Rd Starbucks. Everyone was incredibly friendly and had a "whistle while you work" kind of mentality. Having worked at a cafe/restaurants, I was very impressed with the staff's ability to multitask, and remain friendly and conversational--no idle hands here. They went out of their way to make my experience comfortable, by providing me with a plate to eat my sandwich on instead of the regular brown bag. Blegh, I hate their coffee. If I'm ever doomed to come here, it's either because I have a gift card or I'm with a group of people who just want to chill here. Since their coffee tastes like burnt cowpies (unless it's drowned in lots of milk, sugar, and flavored syrups...that helps a bit), I usually get some sort of tea. K, that's my general experience with all Starbucks. Now for this particular one, or any location with a drive thru. A simple "How are you doing today?" should suffice. Unless you're a total hottie or I start gabbing about my life, then don't feel like you need to fill every second with conversation as I wait for my order. It's uncomfortable! I suspect that the baristas are trained to ask every customer the same cheesy questions to create a friendly atmosphere, so it's not really their fault. Going on a cross county road trip we saw the giant Starbucks sign and decided to stop by for an iced treat. Walked in, was the only customer in the store and went to the counter to order. No one acknowledged my presence for at least five minutes. Finally the guy took my drink order and proceeded to make my drink very slowly. There was at least five workers, but all of them seemed to be working the drive through.. Don't try to go here past 11. They probably won't come to the window even though it says 24 hours on the sign on the highway and open until 2 am on here. I have been here twice and had the same thing happen. Other Starbucks in Columbus do the same thing. Says they're open till 10 online and then they're closed at 9. Kind of annoying for people that work late and are studying late into the night and need coffee. read more

The baristas are friendly, funny and helpful. I'm a regular, and appreciate when they share new drink suggestions. This location is one of the best in Columbus, particularly for quiet meeting. Due to it's proximity to the highway, most customers come through the drive-thru, so it's rarely packed in the inside. read more

I love this location. I've been coming here since moving back into the area in 2008 and they've been very consistent. The staff and management have a great attitude, and will bend over backward to make things perfect if they make a mistake (which is a rare occurance). This is hands-down the most difficult Starbucks to get to. When traveling down I-70, you see the signs informing you of a Starbucks at the next exit. You exit, (I was headed east) and the sign tells you Starbucks is straight on the access road. You see a giant sign that says Starbucks drive-thru and think "how convenient, it's right off the freeway!" Only, it's not. The sign is nowhere near the actual Starbucks building, it's placed there to lure people off the freeway. Brice is an incredibly busy and poorly thought out street. During rush hour it's a nightmare. You finally spot the actual building, go south on Brice and it's way down on the left, but there aren't any places to turn into the complex, you have to go numerous blocks to a light. U-Turns are forbidden at said light so you have to take a left and you STILL can't turn in because there are huge street blockages lining the street. You then go to ANOTHER light where you also can't make a U-Turn; and are forced to drive through a parking lot filled with blighted buildings, random fields, and run-down businesses in order to actually reach the Starbucks. Seriously it's a gigantic hassle and not worth the time if you're just passing through. Dec 4, 2015: I am adding to this review a couple of months later and updating to 5 stars. I actually went inside this time and it was a much better experience. The staff was friendly, prompt service, and bathrooms were clean. If you can, go inside instead of the drive thru! read more

The drinks are always on point, the staff is always friendly. The place is clean and presentable. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is because once I went in there and they had a guy working there with a tank top on and had a lot of arm and chest hair exposed and over top of the drinks while making them. The atmosphere is like that of any starbucks inside. Soft jazz music, delicious coffee house aromas and generally warm baristas. The confections are a little generic as per usual. The only thing that keeps me from rating it as a five rather than four is the lousy parking lot and service drive. Lots of pot holes. read more

This is my favorite location. The staff is always very nice, even when it's close to closing time (which most know that is a pain in the rear end when the last customer comes strolling in). I never have to wait a ridiculous amount of time when I'm in the drive thru and my order is always accurate. I will for sure be returning. read more
