Stopped in to get drinks for myself and my friend. It actually wasn't that busy to where we just walked right up and placed our order. I think the drive thru was more busy than the inside. Placed the drink orders and they were ready in no time! Staff was friendly and greeted us when we arrived and thanked us when we paid. They had plenty of seating inside. I love this Starbucks location for many reasons. If you are a fan of their coffee, you know your drinks and food will be consistent from location to location. But this location has a few small things that make it worth the drive to! The parking lot is massive. This is helpful for anyone who likes to go inside in the mornings or weekends. This location has a drive thru! Thank goodness because I do not like to go inside on my way to work everyday because my morning is busy busy. So the drive thru option is crucial. It has a large screen where you can see the items you have ordered and see the menu. Very nice! I also love how large the interior is! There are so many tables and seating areas to choose from. I frequent quite a few Starbucks in St. Pete to buy my favorite bag of coffee beans; but as of yesterday, I will only be patronizing this location on U.S. 19 and 22nd, and here's why: I had gone through the drive-thru to purchase a bag of my favorite Italian Roast beans and gave the girl at the window my credit card. She came back with a bag and scanned my card; but when she handed it to me, it was a bag of Verona. I told her I only wanted the Italian Roast and asked her to issue me a refund, which she did and gave me the receipt. When I checked my bank, I saw the initial charge but not the refund. I waited a few days but still no refund. So I called the store and asked to speak with a manager. The manager was wonderful! She listened to my story, looked up the transaction, saw the charge but no refund and said the employee apparently had forgotten to put the refund through. I told her that every time I go to that location to purchase Italian Roast, they're out of it, which she said she was surprised to hear because she has 6 bags. She asked if I wanted a refund or a bag of the coffee. I told her I'll be in for a bag and thanked her for how she handled it. She said she'd have a bag waiting for me with my name on it at the drive-thru. Later that day, I went through the drive-thru and lo and behold, there was a bag waiting for me with a Starbucks gift card and note saying "Your next one's on us!" Wow! That is outstanding customer service! I wish I got her name to give her credit because she exemplifies excellence in customer service, problem-solving, management and leadership. If my memory serves me right, this Starbucks used to be a Long John Silver's! That might explain why it's a lot more spacious than a lot of the other Starbucks locations that dot US 19. The inside is great for getting work done as there are tons of tables and lots of space. Plugs are easy to come across and there is a lot of natural light. They also have a pretty big patio area if you prefer being outside. This Starbucks is extremely busy but it is also well-staffed so the employees and baristas can get everyone's orders out pretty quickly. My only gripe here is that the building itself is built a bit too close to the intersection of 34th and 22nd so it feels like a game of Frogger trying to get in and out of the store. The store itself doesn't interface too well with the surrounding plaza either so parking and getting out gets a little awkward. Definitely not a dealbreaker though! This location is definitely one of the more work-conducive ones in my book, I'll be back. read more

The service here was great and the lady working the drive thru was very sweet and polite considering how busy they get, especially around the holidays. The decor is very cute, cabin type feel, which is a bit different than the ones near downtown Tampa. I liked it. The drive-thru is a bit tight, so make sure to go slow. I ordered a light frapp with soy milk and it came out perfect and yes, this location does Puppucinos! Which is really just a small cup with whipped cream, but there are locations that won't do it. My dogs loved the whip and I loved my frapp. Will stop back to this location next time I'm in St. Pete, because not all Starbucks offer the same level of service. read more

The gentleman working the counter was super friendly and helpful, they did not have any dark roast brewed and I ordered a Pike but he virtually insisted he would make any pour over I wanted. Like I said this is a great, beautiful and spacious Starbucks and I hate giving negative reviews when people work so hard to get everyone their morning coffees. However, when my daughter went to pick up the order she was treated rudely by the same employee I spoke with the second time they got it wrong. Went here tonight for coffee for myself and my boyfriend... horrible experience. We came through the drive thru. The lid was not put on my boyfriend's late properly, he took a sip and it poured all over him and my car. Went back to inform the store/Batista's and was treated poorly. Was told it was not there responsibility for coffee spilled by the customer. I explained the lid was not put on probably and very upset about what happened. He said the were closed and I had to leave. I asked to have a replacement made which I did get plus a refund. I am just appalled by the way I was treated with disrespect by this employee. What's ironic is the person in front of me in the store when we returned was in there because his coffee was made wrong and had to come back also. This Starbucks isn't necessarily bad on the inside and I've always received consistently good service, but the parking lot and drive-thru is a clusterf*ck. Who thought it would be a good idea to put a drive-thru here? It's seriously dangerous to people walking and driving. This was not very well thought out. Yes, I know the previous business had one, but it wasn't nearly as busy as this Starbucks to matter, plus that shopping center was nearly all closed. Plus, this straw ban is totally absurd. I asked the barista if they had any regular straws because these paper ones bake the drinks taste like cardboard. She tells me they are, "done with plastic," yet my cup and lid is all plastic. This is the best Starbucks experience I've had. The young man that was taking my order was so nice. I wanted to try the Matcha creme Frappuccino, but was unsure if I would like it. He talked to me about it for a minute or so and I agreed to try it out. I'm glad I did. It was really good.
