I always get excited when I see the the green siren sign telling me that there is a Starbucks close. When I was traveling through West Virginia I needed to pick me up and decide to stop at the Starbucks. You have to be careful, because this one is easy to miss. I actually went up a back road about a mile before figuring out that I was nowhere near my destination but once I turned around and came back there it was on the right hand side. It was quiet inside. Everybody was friendly and working hard through the drive-thru but I was able to give my order and get my latte in record time. Super cool place, I wish I had more time to go and hang out, maybe next time when I'm passing through. Bottom line? Another great Starbucks to go check out. If you happen to be passing through West Virginia, this would be one to go to. read more

Hallelujah for a Starbucks at this location! Starbucks when traveling throughout West Virginia are like a needle in a haystack, so this new location in Flatwoods is a welcome site! This store is less than two minutes off I-79, located near Wendy's at the shopping mall. It looks small from the outside, but has a nice drive through and ample, clean area seating inside. They accept mobile orders and have a full drink menu, but limited food menu available. This is a must stop when in Flatwoods or traveling I-79 through the heart of WV! read more

If you're looking for second degree burns, hospital trips, making 6+ phone calls to get ANY response if their equipment has been checked out so that this doesn't happen to someone else.. then this is your place. I had a terrible experience. The lid wasn't on my coffee cup, the adhesive on the sleeve melted and didn't hold the cup. The coffee sat for over 15 minutes based on receipt time and first SOS call. I received second degree burns to my thing, lower stomach and entire crotch area. Something is wrong here.. I had to call and call and call being told someone would call back which never happened just to ensure this doesn't happen to someone else that may result in spilling on someone else, wrecking their vehicle, losing their job or not being able to pay the hospital bills because of second degree burns caused by this Starbucks. ... over three weeks later , after 6+ calls, missing days of work, piles of hospital bills.. a manager offered me a $25 gift card - haha. This picture was taken after the silver nitrate bandages were removed at the hospital a week after the incident. A lovely Starbucks in the middle of nowhere. We stopped at this Starbucks on the way to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum which is about 30 minutes away. There's not a ton of Starbucks in this part of West Virginia so you stop when you see one if you need a coffee or a bathroom break on the road. This Starbucks is kind of nuts because it has an incredibly large footprint, and at least when I was here there was nobody here. There was more staff than there were actual customers. The staff was super friendly, the restrooms were very clean. I got a Venti Iced coffee with vanilla syrup and they got my drink right and it tasted as I'm used to it tasting. The best thing a Starbucks can be is exactly what you need and want it to be when traveling. Familiar with a friendly staff and this place nails it. No complains. Like I said before if you're a Starbucks regular and traveling through the area stop here and get what you need to replenish your caffeine levels or empty your bladder. Highly recommended. read more

This is an unusual starbucks. They have a limited sign with prices, and about one quarter of the food selection. It makes sense here in Flatwood, where people eat at Lloyds, a true down home family resturaunt. Most of Starbucks food is not compatible with this local cuisine. Noce place for a quick stop and descent coffee. The local coffee was definitely not from around here. Eat well, tip well. read more

This is a brand new Starbucks, and I'm very surprised by the footprint indoors. It's really large, with good seating areas and a drive through. I'd you are driving on I-79 it's a great place to stop for a drink or snack. Workers were very nice and helpful and the closest next one is in Clarksburg if you are heading north and if going south you won't find another until Charleston over an hour away. This is probably the BEST Starbucks location I have ever been to! After driving 7 hours and with 5 hours left to go on our trip, it was so nice to sit down and enjoy a hot cup of coffee surrounded by an awesome staff that made you feel at home! The mountainous scenery at this location is beautiful too! I love that this location is so kid friendly as well. They have children books and my 4 year old really enjoyed his cake pop while having me read him a few stories! read more
