Well to be fair, I don't really like Starbucks, but I needed a caffeine top up whilst in LSL. I didn't see any other option for a to go coffee, or a Red Bull. All I wanted was a plain black cold coffee , which one would think a quick thing to hand me for four bucks, but I got stuck behind people ordering razzle dazzle stuff. Typical location. My beef is that the guy ringing up customers had the sniffles, was sneezing, and was rubbing his nose. It was gross and unappealing, especially around food and drinks. Send employees home if they are sick. Yuck. read more

Customer service was a bit lacking. When I went to ask a question about the size of the drink the barista behind the line did not let me finish asking and proceeded to answer my question without having all the facts. Five stars for being right on Town Square with outdoor seating. It's only SBUX on the three village squares. The other two have Dunkin Donuts, which I generally loathe as they don't automatically offer soy. It's up to franchise owner's discretion. Nice lady behind counter explained something interesting to me. They are busiest store in country when it comes to decaf coffee sales. Didn't know the old people liked decaf so much. But what truly drives revenues at SBUX are frappuccino type drinks, which don't really sell at this location. Gratefully, this location will remain open. It's a total shame they are not opening one at new Brownwood Square however. read more

I ordered 2 drinks from the Tradewinds /466a Starbucks . Extra hot On 12/12 . I picked up the drinks and one had a half cup of milk in it. The young girl ignored me as I stood there. I finally had to get her attention ...Miss! Can you add more milk in this. She had Attitude ..attitude! She heated up some milk in one second and poured a small amount in the cup and threw the rest down the drain. Again with attitude. I was present a few years ago when a mlitary vet was refused service. He had a MAGA hat but wore metals. This happened when Trump was President and I lived in Delaware. I immediately took my gold card and asked for a scissor and cut my card up in front of the barista.. she asked me why...I told her ANYONE that does not respect our military never will get a penny from me. Called and ordered a hot coffee to pick up at 12:45. Went in at 12:40. At 12:55 I asked the manager if they got my order, she said yes and to be patient. A very nice manager helped me in this store today. I was unable to get my Starbucks app to work correctly in order to get my birthday reward. She honored it anyways. She also got my $5 Verizon reward to work, which made my bill be $5.85. She told me "Happy Birthday" as I offered to pay the $.85. Thank you Starbucks for a wonderful birthday suprise. My favorite spot in the Villages is Sumter Landing and one of my hot spots here is Starbucks! Go Figure! The staff here is very friendly and the service here is quick and efficient. We never had to wait in long lines, we were usually out in 5 minutes or less. But in the villages of florida in the sumter landing town square, the starbucks is the place to be on a wednesday morning. its a starbucks, so you get the standard coffee, cakes, and all that jazz. so yes, they made my soy latte perfectly, but im not writing my review based on that experience, im writing it based on the ambiance, with two major points: first: of the three senior citizens who were on the laptops at the cafe, enjoying wi fi, 2 of them were on facebook. yes facebook! scanning pics, and commenting on people's walls. go grandma! look at her tagging up pics. second: the large old white man meeting. what do 9 men, looking quite, dapper do on a thursday morning? they meet for coffee. it's adorable. they all know each other, help each out, opening, and salute each other when they walk by. if you're in town, and visiting the family, or you just live here.. check this sbux out.. much too cute and really quite charming. read more

The staff are so nice, and they were open on Xmas Day - when I had to spend the entire day with my inlaws and the family (whom I adore, but 16 hours of gift opening and sugar binging by the kids is a little much without coffee). Retirees love their coffee & conversation so it's no wonder this starbucks located in a retirement community is always busy. With that said, the staff quickly & efficiently handle the volume. Wait time for my drink seems shorter than most coffee establishments I've been to. A+. Seating inside is minimal, people congregate outside w/ their fluffy dogs in strollers, staring at their phones (seniors...can't get them away from their smartphones!). I asked for soy milk and the barista proceeded to pour me shots of soy milk and explain to me the health code (which I totally understand, I'm just usually handed the entire carton) and say "I'm not sure how they do it in MA, but this is how we do it here". I come to this location almost every day and while the staff is friendly they need to understand that people use mobile ordering to avoid the lines. You have to wait in line to get your mobile order when you get there AND most of the time the ticket hasn't been put on the cup let alone made. It takes about 10-15 mins to get it from time of order which is crazy. Today when I got there again they hadn't even taken it off the printer. Ugh!!! read more

The coffee is excellent, but don't ask for soy milk, they give the massive "stink eye" and make you feel as if you've put them out.

It's Starbucks what's not to like. One of our favorite places when walking the square in winter months.
