Amazing coffee nook, with fresh baked goods. I had the cheese danish, blue berry muffin, and a cortado.

Food and beverages: The sausage, egg, and cheese croissant was absolutely delicious. The crust was buttery and flaky and the filling tasted home made. The cheese danish was in my opinion even better than the Starbucks one. The coffee was pretty good and had a nice strong flavor. Service: The staff was very polite and professional. The first day we went, there were a few more customer so it took a minute to get the items, but the second day there were 2 people working so it was faster. Establishment: The place it self was very clean and accommodating. There were plenty of chairs, couch, and even a high top area. There are bathrooms as well. read more

I was in town and spent some time doing work at Alkimia. It was a cute and quaint coffee shop! The ham and cheese pastry was good but a little dry on the outside. The shop is very nice looking and clean. The staff was polite and helpful. I purchased a bag of beans for home espresso. They only had two types an Ethiopian and a blend. I purchased the blend. I have made several shots and find it to be very weak. It might have to do with the beans being 1 day short of 2 weeks old so not the freshest. So overall just disappointing. read more

Caramel Mocha Frappuccino - I don't know how it isn't too sweet, but it isn't. And then there is that coffee infused whipped cream. Perfection! Vanilla latte - smooth, strong, and just sweet enough Apple fritter - my favorite pastry. Great little spot ! We were just stopping through on our road trip today. It was out of the way for us but the reviews were good so I'm like let's try it ... worth it! I was nervous walking in at first with a toddler because as a toddler mom you worry if your child will be accepted into a smaller space because they're just loud and active and they're own person no matter what... the owners welcomed him and came up to talk to him and walked us out. So nice ! My son loved sitting with me and eating his blueberry muffin !! It was SO good. I barely got to eat any he loved it so much. Got the americano with cream and sugar and it's so good. I love traveling to local owned shops over corporate fast food types. Much better experience and memory. We'll be back on our next drive again! read more

First to review and I'm not even mad. I think this is the most thorough review I've ever written in my life. But it's worth it for this! I was on my way to Dunkin or something wishing that I had a local coffee shop to go to like I always do. Suddenly, something possessed me to just check again and MAN am I glad I did. Alkimia was a blessing I didn't know was coming. They just opened a week ago. Coffee: I'm picky about it having lived in New York and California and drinking some of the best coffee those areas have to offer. This is on par with those places. You can tell the quality of the beans are on point. No unnecessary bitterness. Just good coffee, period. They're a roaster as well, so I'm not surprised. Food: They had a variety of desserts and treats. Got a chocolate muffin. It looked a little dry at first, but got better and more tender as I kept going. It wasn't overly sweet. Just the right amount for a morning coffee run. Atmosphere: part of the reason I love coffee shops so much is because there are so few places where you can get a nice experience and hang out for under $10. This place was clean, relaxing, and quiet for the working hours. It's small, but shockingly spacious. I'd love to see what it's like when it's busy. If you live in Marion Oaks, you legit don't even have to use up gas. Take a walk over here with the family, get a coffee and a treat for the kids, and support this new local business. We are very particular about our coffee and always try to seek out local places when we travel (we live in Tampa but stayed overnight in Ocala after the UF game). We found this place on yelp with only two reviews as it's newly opened 2 mo ago. So glad that we went! The coffee is delicious--very smooth. Pastries were good too and they warmed them up (nice touch). They roast the coffee onsite. If we are back in Ocala, would 100% come back here. Wishing these guys the best of luck! read more

I was in need of some fresh roasted coffee beans. I'm not a coffee snob by any means but I do know a fresh roast makes a big difference in a cup of Joe. Coffee beans have gone thru the roof recently so finding a fresh roast for a reasonable price is a challenge. So I stumbled upon this place a new small buisness! Shout out to keeping it local! Beautiful shop. The baked goods are a collaboration with a local baker. We tried a Mexican Wedding Cookie for 1.25 (my fav), also a sugar free chocolate chip, chunky peanut butter. All were delicious, moist inside yet firm cookie on the outside. The danishes looked amazing! We had the mocha Frappuccino and an ice coffee. The buisness is right across from a big park if you need a place to enjoy your coffee outside. I hope this guy does great the location has plenty of parking and easy to get to.
