I had a simply decent experience with a delicious parfait. The yogurt was hearty, not runny, fresh fruit, layers of honey, & fresh crunchy granola. So good! The spot was cozy with lots of seating. They have a kitchen that brings food to your table, but no servers. The bathroom is adorable, but very small so not mobility friendly. Unfortunately as expected in old mount dora. I visited on a busy art festival day, and i noticed some staff acted frazzled which came off a little rude. This is a great place to grab a coffee or a craft brew. Seeing how it was 11am I opted for the former ...and maybe someday will try the latter, ha! I opted for one of their specialty drinks - the "Smoked Cappuccino". This is an espresso, with choice of milk, rosemary syrup, smoked with cherry wood chips and rosemary, and served hot. The employee was attentive, friendly, and polite. He had my drink made in a matter of minutes and my 16oz drink ($6.00) was delicious! The inside has a bar area seating for approximately 6-8 people. I forgot what the beer was called - but it was a 7.7% ABV Belgian blonde. It was the most refreshing beers I've had in a while. The place was kept clean and the Halloween decor is on-point. My husband and I enjoyed our time at Serendipity brews in Mount Dora this weekend. We came in with our dogs (woo! dog friendly establishment) and were greeted by the woman in charge. She was kind and sweet, asking to pet our dogs and ensuring they had water. My husband ordered a 16 oz beer and I ordered a 5 oz beer. We sat in the back at one of the tables to cool off after having been at the dog park. The ambiance was laid back, chill, and TAYLOR swift - which I loved. They had cute decor on the wall. This review is just about their coffee/service/ambiance, we did not eat while we were here. The first thing that I noticed when walking in is that it's set up like a cozy bar. You wouldn't think they were selling coffee, but you can definitely smell it when you walk in as well as see all the different options to choose from on the board. Definitely creative when it comes to the coffee selections, never seen something like it anywhere else not even starbucks. You can tell that there was a lot of thought put into these crafted drinks. I order the raspberry one (I forget the name of it). It was really good but I wish I had asked if it would be sweet because it was way too sweet for my taste, but the flavor in itself was great, it didn't taste artificial. My friend ordered the smokey and she thought it wasn't sweet enough so we end up switching our drinks and happily sat on the comfortable sofa while we looked at the retro decor. It gave me 90's flashbacks being there. They had a bunch of craft beers listed as well so if craft beer is your jam, I'd try it out; but as for me, I'd definitely come back for a coffee here. Great place to stop in for a bite, coffee or just learn about Mount Dora from a local or two. I was out for a walk and started getting way too hot (cause you know summer) so I stopped into Serendipity Brews to cool off and grab an iced coffee. As I was looking at the menu they had so much more than I thought, from coffee drinks to booze drinks and from a simple bagel to a hearty breakfast burrito. They also had an area that looked like a band preformed at. The staff was super nice and gave some tips on places to stop by. I not only got my coffee I also stayed a bit to chat and got a bagel which was WAY better than expected! I would absolutely make this a stop on my list. read more

Absolute favorite bar in Mount Dora and I'm not even a huge beer lover. Great cozy, homey spot to hang out at and every time we visit it's either Nate or Mara behind the bar and they're both awesome! We recently spent a day in Mt. Dora and this was one of the last spots we tried. It's a nice and cozy space serving coffee, sweets, and beers. The people working were friendly and happy to give recommendations. We tried a few different beers and enjoyed them. The best one for me was an Untitled Art red velvet pastry stout recommended by an employee. It tasted like red velvet cake in a glass, very rich and indulgent. It was the perfect nightcap to end our evening. I'd definitely come back here either for coffee or beers and just to relax for a bit and enjoy the chill atmosphere. read more

Yum yum yum! Such a cute and quaint coffee bar. They offered many seasonal options, and the barista suggested the Christmas Crack, so on her suggestion that's what I tried! She was also very attentive, as I had asked about the syrups being non-dairy and she said they all were (yay for them for thinking of that!!) However, I completely forgot to ask for non dairy milk in my actual latte!! The barista caught my error and actually came over to me as I'd waited and asked to confirm the milk! I was super impressed with her attentiveness! I let her decide for me and she made an excellent choice of cashew milk! My drink was AMAZING!! I've been wanting to check this place out forever and wow was I disappointed. When I walked in I was really hopeful--such a cool concept to have craft beers and coffee. There is a small bar when you walk in and a cozy seating area in the back. I had never been there and with the unique setup, it's not very clear where to order a coffee. The dude behind the counter couldn't be bothered to say hi. After I stood there for about a minute he pointed over to the end of the bar where they take coffee orders. I placed my order and was looking around the counter when I found their seasonal menu. I asked the guy if I could switch my order and he said he had started making my drink already. Ok cool, no problem--I let him know I'd just order the other drink in addition to the one he was already started. He finished making my coffee, handed it to me and went back to chatting with the guys sitting at the bar. For all of the hype this place gets, their customer service is terrible. I did not have any food when I was here, so this review is primarily focused on the beer. I was driving back up back roads from Orlando and looking for a brewery or taproom to buy a beer. Found Serendipity and they had their beer list on Untappd, where I could easily see ratings. Beers all in the upper 3s to mid 4s, which is a sign of a great beer spot. This is a quant little shop in a shopping district in Mt Dora just to the east of the lake.Ample street parking, both on the main drag and down the side roads. The place has a couple of seats in front and is cozy inside. I have pictures of the front, including seating, the door, and the bar area. There is also a little seating area in the back. This is a combination of taproom and coffee house, with some food items, as well. I was here for the beer and Serendipity did not disappoint. This day there were brews from breweries like Arkane, Tripping Animals, and Stoneflower Craft Mead. Only 14 taps, but extremely well curated. The bartender and barrista was very friendly and offered excellent service. The ambiance is chill and very inviting. If I am down this way, I will definitely return. I will also consider getting some food and/or coffee next trip. read more

Serendipity Brews is in a wonderful location. There's a lot of coffee options in Mount Dora, but Serendipity Brews definitely holds its own. They have a really interesting atmosphere. It's the first coffee shop I've visited that has a DJ perform select nights. I ordered the Johnny Cash, which is coffee with 2 shots of espresso. In more common coffee terms, I ordered a black eye. It wasn't my favorite caffeinated beverage, but it gave me the caffeine I was looking for. No complex notes and it tasted somewhat burnt. My guest had a smoked cappuccino, which they really enjoyed. I am all about ambience and delicious coffee and they definitely exceeded my expectations. The coffee was delicious and the guy making it made it with love and I tasted it down to the last drop. I ordered a caramel latte with a double shot of espresso. It was excellent and he added some salt to make it more of a salted caramel. It was amazing. It came in this adorable yet large mug. A sweltering hot day outside called for an immediate beer. Saturday early afternoon, surprisingly not many people inside this main street cafe where there's usually a lot of tourists walking about. Not a ton of seating inside, but was able to squeeze a party of 5 at one of the tables. Decided on the Avocado Toast ($8) and a draft beer ($7). Beer comes out quickly, local IPA that was hoppy and pleasant to sip on. Toast came out a little bit later - a layering of ripe avocado, tomatoes, and some seasoning over toasted white bread. The bread itself could have been thicker to keep the ingredients intact, but otherwise a good pairing with the beer. Service gets by customers quick and the drink menu is extensive. Would like to see some smaller snacks to go with the beer but otherwise a solid respite along the street. read more

I had a delicious layered raspberry iced coffee with oat milk and the staff was incredibly accommodating and happy to be excited by my joy and fun with their menu. They had delicious breakfast and baked goods in the case I didn't get to sample yet but I enjoyed taking a cute picture of my parents with their interior decor. The lady and I are out on a play day... our twice monthly occasions to explore the world, just me and her. These are our favorite days. Today we took a 45-min trip up to Mount Dora and found ourselves sipping the most delicious craft coffee beverages we've had in a long time. And who made us those beverages? Oh, just the founder of the cafe. How's that for Serendipity?! From ingredient sourcing, temperature, flavor combinations, and friendly and impeccable service, this is a MUST. I had the raspberry ripple, which was made warm and half sweet at my request (only to learn the founder likes it that way too -- it's advertised as iced). Mocha with raspberry and white chocolate hints. Perfection. Saima had a flat white with rose petals that were so well crushed they didn't overpower or feel like chunks of flower on sipping :) Come here. Ask about their story. It's very cool.
