First visit, just off of I-20. Plenty of seating plus this location has the screen where you can see the mobile order queue which is still a novelty to me. Bathrooms super clean. Our drinks took quite a bit longer than normal (my name was on the "Order Received" list for a loooong time) but the barista started chatting with me and all forgotten--she was very nice and upbeat and produced a perfectly acceptable triple grande cappuccino (my always and forever order.) Others like Dakota, Emily, Jay, Krishan, Kalsie, Mathew, and Jdimie just to name a few that make up the team that works together to put a smile on your face after that first sip you take from the awesome drinks they make. Dropped in on my road trip home to my parents. It was really meant to be a bathroom stop only- Starbucks bathrooms are clean. I have been trying so hard to budget but I remembered I had a free reward. Yay to me!!!! It was chill yet cheery. Great location. The staff greeted me upon entry. Other patrons were busy reading, chatting, and sipping their lattes. It was very clean. I ordered my tall almond chai latte no water and gave the barista my name. He spelled it correctly! My first time at this Starbucks. My order is always the same: 2 iced chais with an extra squirt of chai in each one please. Starbucks puts 6 pumps in normally, so with an extra squirt that makes 7. Yesterday I got my order, tasted it and asked the barista, did you put the extra pump in these? No, she said, we only put 2 pumps in, but here let me take care of those with some extra. I went back again to the same location today and the same thing happened. I asked the barista if he used 7 pumps. Yes, he lied. Clearly it was again only 2 pumps. And when I asked for a refund the barista at the cash register didn't even care why I was asking for a refund, which shows just how much this Starbucks outlet cares for its customer service. My advice is: if you're looking for a good chai and an honest barista, do not come here. Try the Starbucks off of McFarland by the CVS- their chais are always top notch! read more

My wife and I go to this location of Starbucks weekly, we always get the same thing, 2 coffees a cheese danish and a cake pop for our toddler. Well this week we forgot to order the cake pop so I asked if I could add that to our order (which we have done before) the guy at the window cut me off before I said cake pop and said "noooooo we are too backed up right now" I said " for a cake pop?" I understand there are certain restrictions for Covid but I placed my order on the app for pickup and was told to join the mile long drive through line. While in line I saw a white lady in scrubs walk up to the door and the workers inside brought her order out while I a young black woman and and young Asian man were turned away. This is unacceptable. Everyone loves Starbucks. It's a coffee go-to. And I don't write Yelp reviews. Ever. But this location deserves an immense amount of praise. I come here several mornings a week for coffee before work. The baristas are always so friendly and accommodating- honestly they're one of the best parts of my morning. A couple of weeks ago, I came to Starbucks for my morning coffee and wanted to grab a bite for breakfast. Unfortunately, they were out of several of the items I was interested in and I ended up not getting food. BUT the barista continued to try to please my picky taste and then ended up giving me my coffee complimentary as an (unnecessary) apology for being out of the food I wanted. Then today, I came here to do some work during spring break. The staff was friendly, as usual, but was literally over the top with customer service. They checked on me throughout the evening to see if I needed anything, offered to get me coffee refills, and even gave me my second latte discounted when I eventually ordered one. When my refill order got lost in translation, Stacy gave me a gift card for my next coffee as an apology. She even let me try some of her Frappuccino creation which was freaking dang good, let me say. This Starbucks location is out of the way for me. It's about a 20-minute drive out of my way in the morning and there are other, more convenient locations. Took 20 minutes to get my order and was only 3rd in line on the inside (1st in line ordered 2 drinks, which she received 3 minutes apart and not because it took that long to make the other drink, and 2nd in line ordered 1 drink). Mobile and drive thur orders take priority over people who walk inside, no matter when they place their order. Then, my order was taken incorrectly. When the barista started making my order, I stated the fact she wasn't making it correctly and the rest of the conversation went very sideways. She made several eye gestures and never acknowledge my comment. I explained I would walk her through making the drink. Still, she said nothing just more eye gestures. At that point I said "you can make all the facial expression you want, I know how I like my drink". She said "I haven't said anything and you can't see my face". I said "I can see what your eyes are saying about your facial expressions". She then stated "I don't have to deal with this" turned to another barista "can you help her? I don't have to deal with that". All of this happened after I asked what was taking so long to make the inside orders. The manager did try to explain that everyone makes the drink differently. Some add the water first and others add the water after the milk. Well, according to the Starbucks manual, water is ALWAYS added first. It's a tea...water is always added first to help steep the tea and bring out the flavor. Excuses are useless in any situation when the customer tries to explain how they want their almost $6 drink made! This experience is just another reminder as to why corporate Starbucks are not worth patronizing. Last time ever. read more

Just a quick note to compliment the team at Starbucks in Tuscaloosa. I'm in and out of Starbucks around the country everyday. I particularly want to compliment the red haired (definitely not the hair im complimenting) kid that took the orders. This is the right guy to be engaging with customers. This is the best Starbucks I have ever visited in Tuscaloosa. 99% of the staff are extremely nice and they make the experience more than amazing. A few of them remember customers that are visit frequently and they take pride in servicing the customers. I actually enjoy spending my money here and I don't mind leaving tips for the baristas. I frequent the drive thru, but the service does not ever lack and the atmosphere is so friendly and comfortable. If I ever have a problem with my drink, they do not hesitate to correct the problem. If the mistake is minor, I don't even worry about going back and this is due to the barista being extremely friendly and nice. I would recommend this Starbucks to anyone. read more

I went in today to order my niece a "TikTok drink" (apparently it's all the craze for kids on TikTok". When I ordered the drink- the barista told me that "No one wants to make these drinks, because it's a pain". I knew the exact recipe so I wasn't sure what the issue was. I was hardly asking her to recreate the wheel. Her attitude was poor.
