The Only Game in Town It's bizarre to find a singular Starbucks, but that's what you have in Wichita Falls, TX. It's the only game in town! I have to say, the folks here do a wonderful job. The line is usually longer than a giant rubber band snake. I've never seen one of those, but it sounds like it would be really long to me. At any rate, I was amazed by the high level of service, inside the store and at the drive-thru. I noticed they keep the dark roast available later than most other Starbucks stores. Don't go in on your work break. Just a cafe Americano with milk turned into waiting for 15+ min and my name kept moving down the list waiting for my order because I didn't do mobile. I asked about my order and then they finished it. The coffee I received tasted acidic and awful despite whole milk being in it which is impressive considering I figured whole milk could fix the acidity of any poorly made coffee. I regret the tip I gave because of the product but the employees were friendly and not rude which was nice. Starbucks has definitely gone down hill in terms of product quality with their coffee and I will not be going back and will probably pour out my coffee. tl;dr - To get things right, we should be better listeners. The cashier asked me "to whom is this order for?" I said, "for me," and I gave her my name. Yet, she kept calling me "Adam". What in the world was that? I ordered two drinks. She got one of them wrong, AND she named the cups "Adam". Who in the world is Adam? Do I look like an Adam? I swear I was never teased or bullied like that as a kid, and so I have no clue if Adam was a double entendre. I've also never dated an Adam, but that's irrelevant. Also, I swear I didn't get someone else's drink because the other one was right and there were not too many people in the store. That was funny but super annoying. Because the cashier didn't listen (to hear my name right + to get my order right), I was charged for $6+ for a cup of drink I did not want, and I know I can go back and ask them to remake it, however, the encounter was just exasperating I'd rather not talk to her again. She also had this really point-blank, unpleasant facial expression like she hated everything. Starbucks' charm is that their drinks are standardized; it's for people who are on-the-go who needs a caffeine quick fix. The quality of the taste of the food and drinks isn't worth the price. I've gone to McDonald's in this same city, paid $2 and some change for a sweet iced coffee and it tasted twice as good as something similar here for twice the price as that McDonald's drink. The service isn't that good because the workers and customers enjoy, persistently being disrespectful and rude to me every single time I've come in the store. They do it discreetly and indirectly so they don't get in trouble but they still do it. The environment is gross because there's many flies that come in and the atmosphere is bad during the day because it gets so hot you could start beeding up with swet. Lastly, when I first came to this Starbucks the smells of the coffee in the store was flavorful but I felt like they felt so displeased with me being in the building that they stopped doing this with love here. Isn't wasn't long before the air in the building started smelling cheap as if the cheap chemicals used to clean the over took the pleasantness of the foods and drinks. I'm an out of town we so this Starbucks is close to my hotel and job. The drive thru line is long but I'm from Houston so this is normal for me. Plus from what I understand it's the only Starbucks in town with a drive thru unless you go in Target. The staff is very friendly with me. They are out of a lot of popular items but then again there are shortages affecting all restaurants. Early morning someone is standing outside helping get the orders to make it run quicker. This Starbucks in Wichita Falls is the place to go to get your specialty coffee fix! They have a very consistent high quality of service, product, and cleanliness. The biggest drawback, oddly enough, is a consequence of their own popularity. The drive-through lane is usually backed up. That being the case park and go in. read more

I placed a mobile order, they gave me the wrong sandwich. I ordered a chicken and double bacon sandwich, but they gave me a chicken caprese. YUCK! When I called the store to tell them, the guy who answered had an attitude. I didn't even want to go back and deal with them anymore, so I'm out $7 because the sandwich got thrown away. Not impressed so far. The drink I've ordered for four years is evidently, "against Starbucks policy," here in Wichita Falls. When I was given my order, I was charged for two pastries I had ordered but only received one. I had to bring this to her attention and was told they were out of the pastries. After a rather awkward pause, I asked if I could be refunded for the item, as it had been charged onto my credit card. I've never had an experience that I can recall with such an incredibly condescending drive-thru "Barista." It was almost surreal. If there was another Starbucks in this town, I highly recommend going there instead. If not.., that's really a shame. Every time I come here they get the order wrong or you can taste the burnt tartness of the coffee. Now granted most of the staff are nice and willing to try and fix it, but it never comes out right. So what's that really say. I prefer the one on base, they get it right every time.I know this one is better located, but you would think that it would be better because of how much traffic this place gets. When I informed them about the filthy bathroom the little blonde gave me a nasty look and went to another employee within ear shot to talk about me. The other worker stared at me. Rude so rude. Obviously the management is lacking as well because the filth and the rude employees. Amazing lack of leadership all around. They didn't even take my name. I hate to leave bad reviews during the pandemic but after multiple visits to this Starbucks location, I have no other choice. This location has no process in terms of mobile pickup orders. Every other Starbucks I have been to has some sort of markers on the ground or signage of where to form a line. It takes forever to grab a mobile order because everyone stands there and the employees are too busy with the drive thru to give any attention to the people picking up their orders. It is such a chaotic and disorganized location. Also whenever I order a grande coffee, they never fill the cup up all the way. So much for a 6 dollar grande coffee. I have come several times. I always mobil order. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. my order is incorrect. no worries, normally not in a hurry/rush, no kids with me. my problem is the attitude of the employees. today my drink was incorrect. not in the right cup, just a different drink then I ordered. Sorry but not sorry. After having been to many, many a Starbucks in my time this one is sorely lacking. First off it is the ONLY stand-alone Starbucks in Wichita Falls, which is bonkers. The town needs at least two - just to take the pressure off of this one. And you can tell the store is pressured because of the customer service. The drive thru gets out of control in the tiny shopping center it is located in, sometimes even spilling out onto Kemp, causing traffic backups! I have yet to use the drive thru as it has always been many cars deep when I've been here. Service inside is lacking that true Starbucks hospitality I have grown accustomed to. The employees are usually a little snippy, no smiles on their faces, and they look exhausted. No wonder - they are constantly slammed because there's no other freaking Starbucks or even an equivalent coffee shop here. I've been asked, "What else?" after my order twice. How about, "Anything else for you?" Even that would be better. None of the employees seem particular cheery, I'm not saying you gotta be 100% all the time, but compared to other Starbucks, again, this one of falling short. Since I'm here for 4 years I'm sure I'll be here often, but I'll cross my fingers they build another 'Bucks somewhere or maybe a Coffee Bean. Today, my wife went before work. There were a significant amount of cars in the drive through so she decided to go inside where she found 2 customers before her. After ordering and waiting 30 minutes an Airman after my wife brought it to the attention of the barista that the 4 people who just received their drinks had ordered after him. The barista apologized and made his drink. My wife tried to bring it to her attention that she was even before the Airman (after he had gotten his drink) but was initially ignored. Finally she was able to get the barista's attention who apologized and made her drink. While waiting my wife talked to the manager who then gave the excuse that there are a lot of new employees. My wife's response was that having 7 employees working at the same time, watching 15 cars be serviced in drive through, and then being presented a mediocre drink was unacceptable. The manager then became upset and asked what my wife would have her do. We're both appalled by this Starbucks and would rather go to Chic-fil-a for great customer service and average coffee than Starbucks for poor management, horrible customer service, over-priced & unimpressive drinks. We're buying an espresso machine because we finished giving this Starbucks our business. read more

Ugh this place. I forgot to review it when I came here a while back. I was testing starbucks, this one and the one hidden away in Target and here's what I will tell you after coming to this one: Go to the one on target-you will be more satisfied. Here's the problem, the place is a shack. I cannot stand crowded areas very much, and this place was so small it felt like a sshack with a bunch of people sweating all over the place. The glass at the counter was filthy, and the servers didn't even look like they wanted to be there. The manager was the only person there that actually gave an effort to do well and even smiled, and that's why I give two stars, because the manager cared. It took forever to get my drink out, and there was only one table in the place-and that table was being taken up by two people who had already had their drinks. They must have been sitting there for a good ten minutes, doing absolutely nothing. I should mention how difficult it is getting out of the parking lot, but that seemed to be the least problematic issue I had with this Starbucks in particular. Avoid it and go to the one in the target further down Kemp and past Midwestern Pkwy, you will be satisfied there but not at this one. read more
