The seamstress was very curt and rude upon entry on the establishment. When she did come from around the back of the store, she abruptly snatched my daughter's dress out of my hand, took my request and gave me my yellow sip for pick up. End of discussion. The big problem came when it was time to grab the prom dress. Now in fairness, I was 8 minutes late to the location, since running around for this special event. However, I did call but when I received no answer, I figured that she was just busy. To my small heart attack, the establishment was closed. I was devasted to say the least! I would've really liked a phone call to say "Hey, I'm leaving soon", or "Are you still picking up the dress", something or anything for that matter. Especially seeing that it was a special event. I honestly, would've appreciated a little customer service moment, that would've made all the difference with being a first time customer. I will say that after I called my friend for help, she got in contact with the owner (I presume) and managed to get her to come back and open the shop so I can get my daughter's prom dress. Thank Goodness for good friends, right?!! I'm not sure if I would return or not but I'm definitely not using the place for urgent needs or special requests. Good customer service is really about those tiny steps to make every customer feel like they're appreciated for choosing your business, and I hope no one else has to go through this experience.

I questioned the charge and the employee told me that the first employee had input the item incorrectly into the computer. After asking for a refund of $3.20, I was denied because the computer wouldn't let her do that. (You honestly can't/don't know how to void a transaction?) I asked for a manager or owner. None available. She called the owner, who never returned her call. $3.20 is 20% more than the quoted price. $3.20 would have been a good tip for a waitress, had I decided to treat myself to dinner at a restaurant. An extra $3.20 for each item of clothing left by customers while I was patiently waiting (20 minutes) would be $22.40. $3.20 is how much it costs to lose a customer and discourage many others from patronizing your business!
