You can really tell that they have a passion to teach and ride! I like how both of them really take the time to get to know you and they want everyone in class to leave knowing they had a great workout. They even set a goal for me for next time! After chatting with them after class, I already felt like I belonged, which is SO IMPORTANT for me when looking for a gym. :) When you enter the studio, there is a crisp, clean, and relaxed chic/modern feel...wood floors and wood/metal décor. To the right, you will see a check in area, comfy and modern couches, and cubbies that hold your cycling shoes (if you need them). To the left you will see benches, a schedule board, hampers for towels and shoes, and some yoga mats/foam rollers. Straight ahead, you will see 3 rows of bikes that are connected to a large screen that sits above the instructor's bike. The bikes are really cool as you can see all of your stats on your bike and on the screen. This includes your power, rpm, time, calories, and points you earn as you ride. The monitor will also show different colors. These are the levels you are working at with the amount of power you are putting in. I like having this because I can really push myself and easily keep track with where I should be... whether I am climbing a hill or sprinting! RCS also has an app! The app is user friendly and makes it so easy to schedule and purchase classes. It also helps you keep track of your activity (including running, cycling, and other workouts). Another positive note is that their rates are great and they offer fantastic specials. Right now, for summer, you can get 10 classes for only $65. That is a steal! So, if you're looking for a great place to ride, even if you're a first timer, check them out! Kaye even mentioned having some classes geared towards first time riders. It will be so worth it! Lolita and Kaye will be there for you and instructors are everything. They make the ride and they challenge you do get better, push harder, pedal faster! You don't have to worry about any gimmicks like weights, bands, or yoga while on the bike (some people enjoy that which is fine). The classes were fun, motivating and pushed you to work a bit harder. Very friendly group I had the privilege of riding with those two days. They made me feel very welcomed the moment I stepped in the door. The studio is very, very clean and the technology is very impressive. I'm so glad I found Rhythm Cycling Studio! This will be my preferred studio when I'm in the Chesapeake/Norfolk area. Can't wait to ride with you all again!

They have great entry level deals, so I went all in and started with unlimited membership (30 days for 30!). The front desk staff was extremely welcoming and made sure that I was given a tour, explained the equipment, and then they helped you set up the bike. The instructor came over before class and introduced themself and was extremely welcoming. The classes are so much fun: very dark, very loud, and extremely encouraging. You also get your own stats after the class so you can see how you did. I was hooked! I've gone almost daily since I started. The instructors take the time to know your goals and learn how to motivate you specifically. The very different music vibes between instructors, so you learn what music motivates you. There are also several class types and length, which is nice to mix it up. The owners and front desk staff are amazing and will make you feel special every single encounter. 1000/10, cannot recommend enough.

If you have not done any hot exercise (hot yoga, etc) in the past, you may not feel great after your first workout - but that's because the toxins are leaving your body! Bring plenty of water (in a closely container, no open straws!) and a towel. They provide special heat resistant mats for the isometric classes (Pilates, barre, yoga just to name a few), and also offer high intensity classes such as cycling or rowing. I had a great experience doing the barre class. There is a virtual instructor on the screen guiding you through the poses. You can also schedule your own sessions via the mobile app - it's very easy to either schedule solo visits or with up to 2 friends in the same class. Also a benefit: 24 hour access to members, to fit their individual needs. Definitely a great place to promote your health and sweat it out!

After doing all three, I believe the it's the same temperature for all classes. Each class I've gone to were pretty full. I don't know if it's the way the room is structured in an L and not a square/rectangle or the windows being covered by curtains and I could see outside some... I was mentally distracted in that place. This may be a me thing. Instructors were really good. I did go to a FUNdamentals class on 6/26 (whoever was teaching that day) I absolutely enjoyed it. He gave excellent cues that really helped me. Any instructor that gives good cues to help visualize a pose is a win in my books. All classes were a good workout. You will come out sweaty and feeling glad you went. This is a contender in my books to sign up for membership.

I love the gym but the pool needs a better system…read more I've been increasingly frustrated with the pool experience at OneLife Fitness. This is the second time this week I've gone specifically to lap swim and found a children's private swim lesson being taught at an extremely loud volume right alongside the lap swimmers. Earlier this week, the instructor was so loud that several of us actually stopped swimming and were standing in the pool waiting for the lesson to end. I've swum during British Swim School classes with groups of toddlers and they were considerably less disruptive. Today was worse. I got into the one remaining open lap lane, only to have the same instructor tell me he was teaching a lesson in that lane. At that point I left the pool entirely. Even if I waited for another lane to open, the noise level made lap swimming anything but relaxing or enjoyable. When I spoke to the front desk, I was told there really wasn't anything they could do other than ask the instructor to be quieter. I suggested that, at a minimum, these private lessons should be clearly listed on the pool schedule so members know in advance when part of the lap pool will be occupied and can plan accordingly. I understand that swim lessons are part of a shared pool environment. The issue isn't that children are being taught--it's that paying members trying to use the pool for lap swimming have no warning that lanes may be unavailable, combined with a level of noise that disrupts the entire pool. OneLife needs a better system for scheduling and communicating private swim lessons so lap swimmers can actually use the facility they're paying for.

Funny thing, one of the ways "she" got me to join was by assuring me if I had an injury and needed to cancel (I specifically asked about this) right away how would it go. The screens are way too high as well
