Certainly, here's a refined version of your post for Yelp: --- **Review for Open Poetry** I recently attended an event at Open Poetry, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. A warm welcome from a very British hostess set the tone for the evening. I was joined by several friends, including Kai, Nadja, her boyfriend, and other wonderful people. One standout was a heritage girl from Mexico and Spain, and another was a nurse who graduated from Princeton. The event was a beautiful communion of music, poetry, and a laid-back style. The drinks were fantastic--no liquor, but the smoothies were a hit. The audience was fantastic, listening attentively as I recited my poetry alongside others. A gentleman played the guitar while the musicians stayed with us all night. Though the place was supposed to close at nine, they graciously let us stay until ten without saying a word. We wrapped up with a group picture, which was one of the most beautiful experiences I've ever had. Reminiscent of the coffee houses of the 60s, the event was filled with goddesses and princesses, as I like to say. Open Poetry on Superior Avenue is well-known, and I will definitely be back, bringing all my friends. The ambiance was beautiful, the audience wonderful, and the whole experience was simply perfect. As someone who is critical of hotels and restaurants, having traveled all over the world, I was truly impressed. This place felt like a high-end concierge private tour where everyone talked, met, hugged, and appreciated each other. Florida is indeed home to poets, artists, musicians, jazz singers, and more. I cannot find the words to fully express how much I enjoyed it. --- I hope this captures your experience well! Such an amazing spot! We tried the passionfruit green tea with crystal boba and the spicy tuna onigiri, which were both so delicious and freshly made. The space is great for working or hanging out, since they have a lot of board games, and the service was so thoughtful. Will definitely come back, especially for their onigiri!!! read more

It was truly a fluke accident how we discovered Teas Days. We are vacationing in Siesta Key and enjoy drinking boba tea. A friend who lives in Sarasota had posted sushi the day before and tagged me since we met up two weeks ago and had sushi. Ever wonder whether your spouse of 30+ years really listen to what I tell him? Apparently he did as Honey requested we try the restaurant she ate at but he said this at 2:30 pm and most places close after lunch hours and reopen for dinner hours. Anyway, this will go into THAT review, as we finished eating there and I was impressed with how many restaurants were in this block and suggested we walk to see what's available (and since I was in front of my computer all day and it was rainy and cold, I was unable to have my beach walk so no steps). As it was chilly, I was looking forward to my seat warmer (I'm not going to survive when I return back to SC, right?) so we returned to our car and Honey pointed at a German Restaurant across the street and wanted a photo of it to send to our daughter who is living in Germany. THIS is another example of how God loves us . By walking over, Honey then spots next door the sign that says boba tea. I'll be honest, the exterior with the window dark made me think it was closed. I should have taken a photo of the outside and would suggest somehow having it more obvious that it's open and that the lounge is inviting to hang out. Upon entering, see photos, it's sorta dark but with cool vibes with the decor. There are couches, tables and chairs, and a stage on the opposite wall near the restrooms towards the back. The counter to order is also towards the back, on same side of the door. The young woman working was very nice. I completely forgot to ask her name but has been working there for last four months and enjoys it. She's a high schooler, and I could completely picture this place as where high schoolers could hang out, if young teens or people in general hang out anymore. This is a perfect place for a party, birthday, anniversary, etc. I did not look at their menu since we just had dinner across the street. And though it was cold out, clearly that did not stop us from ordering since it's difficult to find boba tea. You could actually order hot or cold tea except we were going to have "milk" tea which would be cold only. And thankfully, their milk used is not dairy as Honey is allergic to dairy milk. Honey ordered a taro with honey bursting boba. I ordered a lavender with mango bursting boba. We normally order the usual tapioca boba but hey, this is us being wild on vacation! While she was making our drinks, I took the photos below, however this place also has a buzzy booth which will take a selfie for you. We've used these at conferences before and to see one here is yet another example of how this place is such a wholesome place for people to gather. Also, Teas Days has karaoke night and improv comedy night. And this place is open to be booked for events. Learning that the owner loved having boba teas while in college and wanted that to be available in this location, I do hope more people discover this place. UberEATS driver had come for an order, and a small group showed up when we were leaving. It was tasty! The taro was actually better than the lavender only because it seems thicker. I normally order that one but wanted something different than Honey. We waited to drink ours after we got back to our place since we only wanted to drink the bursting boba and not burst ourselves! Too bad this place did not exist when we vacationed here with our children as it would have been fun to order the drinks and play a game of cards, something that was our tradition on vacay. Kind service and a wide variety of options. I had been eager to try this spot. As far as the quality: I was really disappointed. The milk tea is chalky water that did not have anything remotely resembling a fruity flavor. The boba was all clumped together and impossible to get through the straw. When it finally got through, it was an inedible string of tapioca pearls. Never had this happen to me anywhere else; normally boba is separated. Their flavor options for tea don't include syrups; instead, they offer nondairy milk tea powder, which has no tea. Way overpriced. Boba should not be offered at this price point for such poor quality. Yes, I knew that going in; I expected much better. read more

While driving through Gulf Gate, we saw a Boba Tea place called Teas Days. They also have these waffle ice cream things. I was soooo excited to try it. Until the girl BLEW ON OUR FOOD. TWICE. The first time I was shocked but then when she did it again right after saying to the other girl "yeah that happens a lot on this one" I was appalled. At this point I asked if she knew she shouldn't blow on people's food and they just stared at us for a moment. Then they proceeded to ask us if they wanted us to remake our s'mores puffin, which of course we said yes. It wasn't great & I def wish I had asked for our money back instead. They are trying to do everything fresh and not make anything ahead of time, even the cold tea is brewed when you order it. But 30 mins for 2 boba teas and a puffin was extreme. Stay away friends. My friends and I ordered milk tea, but what we got was flavored water with tapioca (which by the way, was really difficult to drink through the straw)?? I'm sorry, but this is not the place for bubble milk tea. I'm from the DC area where we have plenty of great Asian-owned bubble milk tea chains. This was probably the most expensive ($6) and the worst tasting bubble tea I've had. To make matters worse, no employee was wearing a mask. I know that there is no mask mandate in FL, but in every establishment that I've visited in Sarasota, the employees were masked. read more

Just AMAZING. Great quality boba, even better quality staff. The new management is awesome! Very affordable food and boba options, which makes it a great option for younger folks. The good, deco for younger clients and have special events at nights. Self machine is fun and will send it to your phone to keep. Now the bad, expansive, the boba is watery and waffle has no crunch. Very cute atmosphere but the boba tea is not boba tea at all. It is powdered mix with what, water I suppose. The tapioca pearls taste old and mushy, not like pearls should taste at all. What an unpleasant product. You can see from the picture the mixture separating and sticking to the cup. Eww. read more

Adorable boba cafe with great, friendly, welcoming vibes! I went here with two friends for karaoke night with a Sarasota singles group while I was visiting from Philly (literally was just there half an hour ago lol) and it was a wonderful experience. Jaden and Hailey were so friendly and helpful and recommended lavender boba tea when I was asking for a suggestion so I could try something new (I always get taro, black, or Thai). Two people in our group even got a spiked tea drink! I really love the paintings on the wall from local artists and I even saw a little poem by the mirror from the owner, Charisma. I would def love to come back next time I'm in Sarasota. Congratulations to the whole staff on 2 years in business! read more

I have been to many boba shops and I've had bad and good. But this boba is some of the worst I've ever had, all of the flavors are powder and the Thai tea just tasted like a sugar water with a hint of tea. The Boba was super under cooked and kinda tasted weird. I couldn't even get it through the straw(idk why). Some of the most expensive boba I've had! Any way I would not go back. read more

Due to there not being any real options for Boba tea in Bradenton I took the trip down to try this place. First impression was the atmosphere was uncomfortable. My husband was with me as well and agreed. It was just very dark inside, there was a a movie playing which I thought was odd (some cheesy scary film) and no one was in there. If it was open and inviting I would have felt more comfortable.. I was just like ummm okay, this place is awkward I'm out. Now onto the tea. I got a Thai tea with boba and it was very good. So the tea is good but I wouldn't drive there just for that. read more

How this place has more than 1 star is shocking. The "milk tea" I got was only water and powdered milk tea mixed in. There is no brewed tea whatsoever. Worse part was that the girl who made my drink took forever when there were barely any customers and she didn't even mix it thoroughly because I tasted the powder the moment I drank it. I've had milk tea all over the world in my life, and this place is not it. You are all being fooled spending your money here. And on top of that, I paid about $7 to drink lukewarm tap water mixed with food coloring. Go somewhere else. read more

Agree with the bad reviews 1000%!!! The boba tea from this establishment is brown water with poorly prepared (cooked???) boba beads at the bottom. Chewy and undercooked in the center. We ordered a few different flavors- they all tasted basically the same. They were out of flavors like strawberry. Also would say, I don't recommend taking your children here in the evening. People were pushing, there was loud music, my child said it was "weird" and it "scared" her. Website does not work, and also tried ordering delivery via popular food delivery services and the full menu was not available. read more

But the whole atmosphere is awkward, not really the atmosphere that would interest teens. the drinks are just mediocre, wouldnt buy it again. the drinks are just powder flavoring, the charisma tea is a hibiscus tea, really disappointing. I love Teas Days because they're open late when I crave boba most! The employees are super sweet always and love to make conversation with you. Established in 2019.

Our family moved to the United States in the summer of 2013. Since then, we’ve lived in a number of different places: the suburbs of Philadelphia, right in the heart of Austin, and the lovely steel city — Pittsburgh! Now, about 10 years later… We’re finally settled. We love our community here in the Sarasota & Venice area. We acquired Teas Days in 2023, and rebranded to match Stardust Cafe's mission and values. The vibe is very similar to the "meat market", pretty loud, old men on a gear with super young women drinking. We were seated far away in the corner and we were happy about that. They had non alcoholic cocktails, but server told us that they all super sweet and he recommended virgin mojito. Which was very good. We ordered miso cauliflower, which was great, and the portion was pretty decent. Crispy rice spicy tuna was amazing, we loved it. We also had salmon tartare and island maki sushi. Everything was exceptional. We got recommended to get a cheesecake and my husband loved it but I didn't like it at all. I was expecting more Asian style but it was super American overly sweet cheesecake. I don't like very sweet food, so it wasn't my thing. But they did have hot tea which was great to end the dinner with.

We also did half and half with 2 pork belly and 2 Korean fried chicken. The kfc was nothing special I would definitely rather get only pork belly steamed buns next time. The buns themselves were super fluffy and soft! Sushi was pretty mid. The other main dishes and dim sum carry, and would rather spend money on that than sushi. We got the midori, sake me crazy and a sweet potato caterpillar roll. All of it had too much rice in the roll and considering all the rolls are $21 and upwards it makes it feel cheap. Service was great! Good ambiance very lively.

Hawkers does it through seasoning, spices, and technique. There was no puddle of sauce at the bottom of the bowl, no overly sweet glaze, and no greasy heaviness. The rice absorbed flavor without becoming soggy, and the kimchi, vegetables, egg, tofu, and bulgogi worked together beautifully. The spring rolls were equally impressive. Light, crisp, delicate, and perfectly executed, with a thin wrapper and just the right amount of crunch. What impressed me most was that I left satisfied, not stuffed. It was really hot outside (July) and even though the venue had its large doors open, the air conditioning kept it very comfortable. The bartender was friendly and the full liquor bar is actually covered by palms to give it a tiki-hut 'look'. There are 12 beer taps, lots of pool tables, a juke box, big screen t.v.'s, and smoking is welcome inside. Add in clear plastic beer cups, a men's room without a mirror, lots of JORTS, and you're officially in this dive bar. But that's ok because it's fun, and prices are decent.
