I love Starfire Body Piercing Studio. I had considered getting my nose pierced for long time before finally doing it. So, I was quite pleased to be met by friendly staff, in a clean, well-organized shop, the moment I opened the door. The gals that are behind the counter at Starfire, especially Jamie, the owner/primary piercer had a confident answer to every question I had, and answered many questions I could never have come up with on my own. They made sure that I understood what I was getting myself into before I was ever pierced. As a local medical professional, I was impressed with the time that Jamie took to explain the why and why-not behind all the aftercare instructions, which she gave me a copy of to take with me, even though she went over them in detail. When she was finished piercing me she said, "Come in or call if you have any questions!", and I felt she was sincere. (I have called and stopped by! ) It's been nearly 6 months since I had my nose pierced and I've been in and out of Starfire to get other nostril jewelry. Jamie has custom fit each piece for me and I enjoy seeing what is new in the case each time. While they are a business and of course have a bottom line, every time I've thought of a not-so-great-idea like something RED for my nose or a larger piece that would look absurd, they've steered me in a more flattering direction. They know their stuff and I trust their advice! I have referred friends and casual acquaintances to Starfire and will continue to frequent their shop. I will always recommend Jamie at Starfire. The jewelry is amazing quality, facility is very clean and the front counter staff has always been amazing. This is the reason I give it three stars. At the same time the only reason I give only three stars and not more is because sometimes Jamie can be very belittling. For example; if she doesn't think there's something wrong with your piercing new or old, she will make a big deal about you asking her to look at it which made me upset because I paid a lot of money to have a piercing done and if I think it needs to be looked at, I shouldn't be made to feel bad for asking to have it looked at. Also, they tell you to eat before you come in to get a piercing. If you feel sick afterwords there is candy that you can buy in the lobby but as my friend found out, it's wrong to eat candy after getting a piercing. It will make you vomit. Unfortunately, if you do vomit, they will then refuse to talk to you even if you do something such as apologize. Needless to say my friend nor I was impressed with this. Again, I will always recommend Jamie as a great piercer, just be prepared to have her make you feel like crap. read more

**BORN AND RAISED IN BEND ** I have been going to see Jamie for over 10 years now. If you are looking for someone to tell you what you want to hear to get the sale then go elsewhere. Piercing is an art and just like I would not want my tattoo artist to tattoo something they are not proud to put there name on, I would not want my piercer to poke a hole or put in a piece that they were not happy with. Getting a piercing is a process and if you are not willing to go through the process and take care of your body and piece than Jamie WILL reassure you. My body is know for rejecting piercings no matter how much i love them. I wanted a surface piercing so badly and Jamie talked me through how we could make it work. I went in to see her weekly until it completely healed. She was more than happy taking time out of her day and seeing me every week to make sure the process was perfection. IT WAS! This is a quality establishment!! This is not just a cheap poke-and-go shop, or someone selling fake jewelry out of a tattoo shop. They're fair priced, and only sell high quality. VERY CLEAN!! It took me a minute to find them, but I called and the girl who answered told me to drive around the block and look up - they're on the second story. I liked how they were funny. :-P They took time to chat with me, the girl with dark brown long hair even noticed I was wearing a pair of stone plugs that they carry too. I've been in several times for myself and with friends. I like how knowledgeable Jamie is and I appreciate her work.... However I agree with another poster, she has a way of making you out to be wrong no matter what you say. Even my oldest piercing she nit picks to death..... She commented about placement and jewelry selection for my tragus, and piercing SHE did with the original jewelry from HER shop. I tend to go in and not listen to anything she says, especially when she's belittling. And she does cuss enough to make everyone except a seasoned sailor uncomfortable.... Bottom line: her work is good, jewelry is average quality and her personality is subpar. read more

I went to Jamie and got my Monroe done. She did a great job. I told her how I sometimes pass out when around needles, she was patient with me, and made sure I was still feeling okay after she put the needle in, she would remind me to breathe and explained to me that your endorphins go out of whack when something happens to your body. My piercings had never been infected, I always feel welcomed when going into the shop and no one has ever been rude, or anything to me. I also have never had any bad experience with foul language (plus it's Jamie shop, I'm sure she can say what she pleases) Over all, Jamie is awesome!!! read more

Jamie is the owner (I think?) or manager, and she is absolutely the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered. I was waiting for a friend to show up because we wanted to get matching piercings. Jamie speaks down to her employees and also talks mad smack about her customers. I HEARD her tell an employee "Fat girls have no business getting nipple piercings". I texted my friend and left. We will absolutely take our business elsewhere and I strongly recommend that you do the same. Jamie is the definition of rude and needs to be educated on how to treat people. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. We waited for 20 minutes and no one acknowledged us once until they kicked us out because our autistic younger sister was happy to see the fish. "Jumping disturbed the environment," we've never been kicked out of any place due to her JOY! Multiple people get their piercing infected by going here. They NEED to learn how to address everyone equally. Trend kill may be in Redmond but it is so worth the drive. Go there for your next piercing and tattoo needs because they know how to treat people right. read more

WOW! I came into Starfire yesterday with my daughter to get her second piercing on her earlobes. And all I can say is that I am blown away by the entire staff. We came right before closing and were greeted with smiles and a plethora of knowledge and good vibes. The lady who did my daughters piercing(apologies as I didn't get her name) made me and my daughter feel soooo comfortable and her knowledge and genuine care was absolutely insane! Okay I love this place! I wanted a nose peircing so bad. And my mom finally said yes. So I read the review that someone wrote... And they said that they were rudabega impolite, but they are so super nice. I was so scared that they would be mean sinse I'm a little shy. But they were so nice and they explained everything to me. I took two of my daughters yesterday to get their ears pierced for the first time. While it was expensive; it was so worth it. The education we received on aftercare I had never heard before. Jamie and Tiana were amazing in explaining, in great detail, everything for the healing process to be a success. I was impressed by how sterile and easy the process was. great experience, not sure why there are so many bad reviews? i got a septum by jamie super efficient and quick did not hurt at all took 5 mins max in the room. everyone there is super nice i would recommend going here. some people are sensitive and say the lady's are being "rude". just because they aren't being super extra nice to you doesn't make them rude!! read more

They suck. The amount of how much they suck hurts. They should be closed and the store should be burned to the ground because Jamie has made so many people cry and feel bad but her staff is great. I've always been treated with respect by all the staff at Starfire. The prices are high yes but you also expect to pay more for quality. Nice clean shop and knowledgeable piercer.
