This is an update review. I had given 3 stars and complained about keratin service on yelp. The owner immediately contacted me and asked for details. We tried to reschedule the same service n finally today did it right ! Am very happy to share i was taken good care of and am thankful such service exists in vicinity. I would definately revisit for facial threading waxing etc. with my mom. Staff is sweet in Hillsborough location and friendly and very hard working! I went to get my eyebrows threaded today. The girl left so much hair behind on my left eyebrow. She never gave me a mirror to look closely and rushed me to pay so didn't get a chance to look properly until I got home. There's so much hair left behind that I now have to do my own eyebrows again after wasting $9 ($7 for eyebrow and $2 for a tip I now regret) along with my time. It's ridiculous. They used to always give you a mirror to ensure you liked your eyebrows before paying. I'm very unhappy and will be looking for a new place. Your customers shouldn't have to redo your work the moment they get home. read more

I had a hair color with Anjela and face wax with Shena , both were good at their service, however, i did not expect 330 dollars bill at the end as i have never paid this high amount for my hair color at one time. too expensive and i am not able to understand why the cost was so high. i donot feel like going back to that saloon again because of the high cost. read more

If you do not want out dated, skinny, one dimensional eyebrows DO NOT go to this place. I made the stupid decision to get threaded bc I really wanted a cleanup and I have walked out today with thin eyebrows, with my natural arches totally removed, and almost one width from beginning to end of the brows, whereas before my eyebrows were tapered. I distinctly told the woman who serviced me do not thin them out or emphasize my arches beyond what they naturally look like and I only want a clean up. She said ok and proceeded to thin them out, and remove the arches entirely so now they are also skinny half moons. At the end she told me I can fill them in if I want them to be more arches and thicker. What the heck!?? DO NOT go to this place if you value your natural eyebrows and do not want eyebrows that look tattooed on bc of how thin they are. read more

I have been coming here since they opened this location near my house . They have another one in Hillsborough. I was hoping they would open a threading location close to me because traveling to Edison to my usual place was becoming tiresome. They owner and two other ladies usually are the ones who do the threading and they always do a great job and it's $5 for eyes brows and $3 for lip . Which is very reasonable unlike some of the other places that try to rip you off . They recently started threading my daughters lip and I have to say she handled her first time like a champ . I love having this place around the girls are wonderful. Also they cut hair and other treatments so if in need of a haircut for a reasonable price or threading this is your spot . read more

My daughter and I have been getting our eyebrows threaded there for a while, great job always. Today for the first time I had my haircut as well. Paola cut my hair and she did a fabulous job. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she was able to replicate it perfectly. She also washed and blowed my hair out. Salon was very clean, everything was sanitized between customers. I believe you need an appointment for a haircut but threading is walk in. Cost for eyebrows is $5 and my haircut was $32. read more

Found this place on Yelp and I'm glad I took a chance. I had been growing out my brows because I was unhappy with the last place that waxed them. While running errands nearby I decided on a whim to try threading at Starglow Salon in Bridgewater. The technician, Jinal (not sure on the spelling) listened to my concerns about the shape. She proceeded with an iterative process...stopping along the way to let me see the shape. I was happy with the final result. Nicely shaped, pain free, and reasonably priced. I am new to the area. I called this morning to ask about eyebrow threading. I was told I do not need an appointment & can just walk-in. I drove almost 20 minutes on my lunch break & once I arrived, i was asked to come back in 20-30 minutes because someone before me had a wax appointment. Had I know this was going to happen, I would have asked for an appointment & hopefully would have been told someone has that time slot. I could have tried to switch my lunch to a different time. Great place for eyebrows. Can't say much for the haircut though. I really needed a quick hair trim so I tried experimenting. It wasn't a disaster (phew), in fact the lady who did the haircut was really sweet, professional, clean and caring. But I don't think she really knows how to do haircuts, as her techniques were very different and observably flawed. I found it a little uneven post shower. But I would recommend her for a quick blow dry, or hair setting requirements. Also, little weird how at the counter I was asked how much tip I wanted to leave. I found it a little offensive, as it should be my personal decision and prerogative. Not something for the entire salon to hear and judge about. They should just hand over the bill, and let the customer pen in the tip or giv it in cash. If tips is a huge issue among the staff, keep a jar on the counter for a collective tip allowing customers to leave whatever they consider is right, and also for staff to get an equal amount irrespective of who got how many customers. read more

I got my hair done for prom here. I showed the lady a picture of the style I wanted and she got it spot-on. Everyone loved the look! It was also a hot day so I was worried it wouldn't stay in, but she worked some magic and my hair stayed in place all through the pictures outside and the crowded dance floor. Only thing was, it took a little longer than I expected, as another customer was in a time crunch so she attended to that one in the midst of styling my hair. But I didn't mind, as I had a lot of time. She was v accommodating of my requests while styling and was very courteous. A very very very reasonable cost (and I booked less than a week in advance), around half of what other salons were charging me. In my opinion it's a really great deal, I would definitely go back. read more

My girlfriend came home crying today. She has been coming here since 2015. She went to get her eyebrows done here today and told the lady to not make them any thinner. She cut her eyebrows in half!!! Same thing happened 2 years ago and she's been spending so much time and money attempting to grow out her brows for 2 years. What a shame. The girl that did her brows was young and had a picture of a golden retriever as her background on her phone. We definitely won't be returning. I've been going to the Starglow in Hillsborough for a number of years. Even though it's only a town away from Bridgewater, driving on 206 always felt like it took forever. I'm very excited that they've opened up a Starglow in Bridgewater and so conveniently located near the Bridgewater Costco. It's very clean and open. I had my eyebrows threaded and Jagruti did a wonderful job. She was very sweet and quick to understand what I did and didn't want her to do. It's also SO affordable. This place's prices are competitive with threading salons in Edison. I paid $5 for eyebrow threading and $3 for upper lip threading. Great deal! Overall, I'm so happy I don't have to trek to Hillsborough or Edison to get good threading services at great prices. read more

I love this place! I have been in the Hillsborough location since i lived in the town so when i moved to the Bridgewater area, i was so desperate not to have Starglow close by ... However Manga gave me the great news of the Bridgwater salon and i was in heaven! It Is so close to all shopping area and the service is excellent. I love how Koval does my eyebrows and i have had other girls doing them too i am always satisfied.... The hair salon is great .. I feel like i can get almost everything done in 1 trip from cut and blow drying my hair, to waxing and eyebrows threading !!! I recommend this salon or any of The StarGlow locations!!! read more

I've been going to Starglow for 2 years and wouldn't even think about going somewhere else. I have had different ladies thread my eyebrows in that time and have always been very satisfied with the look . I have dark and crazy eyebrows ( stick straight up in places and super long) and I've been to places that have not listened what I was looking for in terms of shape. I don't ever get bumps when I leave there ( this happened many times in other salons) so I'm not sure if their after threading lotion is better or what the reason . Ptetty good job for $5. My eyebrow lady was very welcoming and nice. There is no minimum for a $5 credit card charge which is always a good thing. I guess it was the owner that stood there kinda hovering while my eyebrow lady ran my credit card. Thought that was a little odd and micromanagy of her. I visited Starglow 15 minutes before closing today. Jinal was kind enough to thread my eyebrows along with my 2 friends even though she was close to closing up. She was friendly, professional, efficient and thorough in her work. I mentioned the fact that I went close to closing time b/c most people would be rushing to finish up and go home. Jinal took her time and was not in a rush. All 3 of us were very pleased with the results. I came to Starglow in the first place based off of the protocols they have in place regarding covid-19. They are taking all the appropriate safety measures to ensure everyone's safety. I could not be more pleased with this spot. I love Starglow! I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for about 10 years. For most of that time I had worked in the city and had a salon within a few blocks of work that I went to. After leaving the city I would find myself traveling to Edison for threading. After moving to Bridgewater I would go to a kiosk in the mall, however they weren't always consistent and the prices were twice as much as I had been paying in the city or Edison. I was so lucky to find Starglow which is actually closer to home than the mall and my eyebrows always look fantastic. And the prices are wonderful. read more

The absolute best place to get your eyebrows done. I cannot vouch for other services, but I'm sure they are just as great! I'm in and out in 15 minutes max and at a cost of $5 plus a 2-3$ tip and I'm out, this place is amazing. These people are awful. We came in for the promotion that said $55 cut and color. We showed them pictures of what we wanted and they said nothing about it costing more than the asvertised price. Then when we went to leave they tried to tell us that we each had to pay $180. I got them down to $120 after complaining our hair never got cut or dried. This was after we sat in the salon for almost five hours and our hair came out looking awful. Then they tried yelling at us saying it wasn't their fault that "we don't have money". The only thing that made this better was the owner coming down to the salon and refunding our money and offering to fix our hair free of charge. She was very sweet and apologetic for the service her employees provided. read more

I will not go anywhere else for my eyebrows now. The best threading and so affordable. I cant speak for the other services they offer because I only go for my eyebrows. I would recommend to anyone in search for a good spot. I've told a few of my friends and they continue to go back as well. I like to go on Friday or Saturday because my favorite girl is there. This place is pitiable and lousy. The women are shabby and do not do a good job. It is consummately unhygienic with peoples hair all over the products that they are utilizing on you. I went in for waxing and Inspite of me showing her hair on several places after she was done she gainsaid to address them and left the room. I additionally wanted threading done and she was about to commence my threading without removing my brow make up... thank god I got up and left before the disaster! This is the first time I have been here and I had an amazing experience. Paola washed and cut my hair. She did a phenomenal job. I told her I only wanted more volume and layers up top, keeping the length just keep the length and that's exactly what she gave me. She also waxed my eye brows.
