Naz did an excellent hairdo and facial for me. She completely changed my outlook and I love it. She works wholeheartedly and is best at what she does. She's professional and makes you feel comfortable. The Salon is well maintained, in a nice location and easy to get to. Customers beware, the owner of Libase Salon, Naz, is unprofessional, rude & charges customers for services not performed & when politely questioned, she will no longer allow you back to her salon! Please read below if you want more details & FACTS about Naz & the way she treats clients & operates her business. Naz's unethical business practices: I have been a customer of Naz for approx. 3yrs with approx. 5 appts with her. At my last appt, I paid & tipped her 20% & she gave me an itemized receipt. I notice she charged me $50 for a Glaze process, I didn't get this service. I asked her about this charge & she spun some ridiculous story & knowing she is a confrontational person, I left because I did not have time for MORE of her BS. When I got home, I checked a previous receipt & she charged me same at my last appt as well. This is $100 + $20 tip Naz made off of me by unethically charging me twice for a service she did not do. Naz's epic level of unprofessional behavior: On Tues. Aug. 6th, 2024, I made an appt with Naz for Wed Aug. 14th, 2024 at 5:30pm. On Tues, Aug. 13th, 2024 at 5:22pm (24hrs before my appt), her assistant, Andrea, called me to tell me Naz will not take me for my appt tomorrow because I questioned prices the last time I was there. At first, I was confused & then it clicked, she was referring to the question I asked Naz about charging me for service she did not do during my September'23 appt. When I asked if this is what she is referring to, she said "you will need to discuss this with Naz". This is what she was referring to because this was the ONLY time I ever discussed prices with Naz. Naz couldn't even muster up the guts to call me & deliver her own message! Naz's petty personality allowed me to rent space in her head for over 10 months & was waiting for me to schedule an appt to act so unprofessional. She could have called any number of days before my appt to deliver the same message but given her online reviews of being such a rude, unprofessional person to people, she probably planned it this way. Come on, who remembers & then penalizes people for such an insignificant conversation that happened over 10 months ago! I'm not even this upset & I'm the one who was ripped off for $120 or MORE! While in her chair, she gossips about other clients she gotten rid of because of similar situations to mine, too many questions hair extension women & 1 hour make-up tutorial women. Yes, she is gossiping about you ladies & she will probably do the same to me! I'm sure there is a longer list of unhappy clients that had the pleasure of interacting with Naz. I had an event that night & I'm sure she achieved what she set out to do BUT remember KARMA is a b$%ch & Naz has a lot of BAD KARMA coming her way for the way she behaves, gossips & treats people so poorly! Just read her other online reviews! Finally, Naz's skills as a salon owner & "MASTER COLORIST" w/ over 25 years exp.: Anytime Naz has done highlights on me, I always leave her salon with a ¼ in. or more root, I asked her to not leave a root & she spun yet another story as to why she HAS to leave a root. All other stylist I have been to use cotton wool strips or smaller foils to avoid a root & solve their clients ask. She never pays attention to the way you part your hair & always have to correct her. PAY ATTENTION NAZ! Naz does not offer coffee or refreshment to her clients as she states in some replies to online reviews. I'm not sure how Naz stays in business, her parking lot is ALWAYS empty, well except for the car that park in her lot for the business next door, you can always get an appt within a weeks' time, even peak evening appts. That's unheard of if you are a upscale salon. My only question to Naz is, who has the time to act this way if you are running a BUSY salon...be nicer, act more professional & run your business ethically & maybe your parking lot will fill up like your neighbor's business! Where to begin...Pro: very clean, in a crumbling strip mall. It is so sterile, from the generic music to decor.If you understand high end and luxury this will never do. I had a hard time getting comfortable felt like someone was hovering over me. It was dead nobody except one girl, so my eyes wandered over every nook and crannies and I felt uncomfortable because there were several video cameras, Never been any salon where there were so many to watch me with goop in my hair. I asked the girl if she could take my coffee because the bagel shop in strip mall used souring milk she said OK but never did.I waited along time before stylist appeared, she called my hair boring and dull, said highlights. When I said something she did not like she rolled her eyes several times said she had over 20 years in the business and let her worry about hair. Again very uncomfortable place, the same music loops over and over. I wanted to get a manicure but there is only one station and by the time" Naz" was finished it was busy again. When I did not like the color she said it's not finished yet, so I was nice let her style it out.She said " make it like something I couldn't do myselfs".I did not look up until done she made it into a big poofy thing.I told her to smooth it down a bit she argues its the style. More eye rolls. I paid left a paltry tip , and seemed to have left but I went to bathroom, heard Naz say,"That lady gave me an awful head ache." And proceeded to say other things catty things about her next client, she gives a break in price because most people can't really afford her services,her form of charity and they will give their last penny left to her. She makes her prices at how they dress, which is why some pe;ple get two prices.Cheaper on the phone...gouge in person.She went on to the student you have to pretend you like them.But most of the time it's hard.( ***use less shampoo she berated,) not even a full pump. Itchy scalp explained.When I left she said nothing and rolled eyes one more time for the road.I don't have to guess what she said next. Maybe this place has a ton of potential, hire nice people, play new music, get nicer furniture... Also get rid of the cameras it gave me the creeps. I think it could be an exquisite salon, but right now it is a place I'd never go back to.It was suppose to be upscale...um no its just clean, so if I'm visiting NJ I'll say no...again its a big NO.***PS these ppl will send email a questionnaire for service.I would hesitate freely giving in hindsight.No! I don't recommend it. As a first time client, I made it clear that my stylist would need to know how to work with extensions. I was assigned a man who was very rough with my hair, need to trim his nails because it felt like he was slicing my scalp as he washed my hair. He also pulled very hard on my extensions as he blew dry them to the point that they were very loose by the end of the blow out. I was charged $50 for the blow out, even though on their website it says $30- and my hair is medium length and normal thickness. Nice salon! The women there are very kind and honest. I came here for my first keratin treatment. They answered all the questions (there were a lot) and I felt like they were as careful with my hair as it was their own. Maybe I feel this way because the last salon (body and soul) was so terrible. I am so happy that I found LIBASE salon and spa. Naz takes care of all my hair coloring needs and she does a wonderful job with hair coloring. I call Naz the "Queen hair colorist." I have been here a few times for haircut, color and eyelash extensions. Naz means well but says she knows how to do things and then the outcome is horrible. She did my roots and the color doesn't match. Then sends me off with some excuse. Eyelash extensions were terrible. I looked like I had spiders on my eyes they were so long. Awful. Oh and don't take a child there. She will be very annoyed and makes it known. I won't go there again, terrible. read more

If I could give this place a negative rating, I definitely would. The customer service at this place is just horrible - I scheduled my appointment a week in advance and she did not get back to me until a week and a half later. So I worked with her schedule for a new time even I told her that the new time would be tight for me. When I got there late, I got yelled at in front of all the patrons. If you go to this place, you are guaranteed that you will be robbed, for a 20 minutes hair cut, they charge you $65, and lied saying they did 40 minutes. Very unfriendly with the customers. The manager screamed at a customer that all hair salon charges $50 and above for women's hair cut. Not a very friendly place, the hairstylist swears that she knows what she's doing with great confidence, but like everyone else said here always ends up doing what "she" wants to do...and if you question it, boom get some attitude.
