Whether its your first time through a cave, or you've been through several. This is a must see if you are around Lake of the Ozarks! Don't be hesitant this is truly an experience and memory you won't forget! The cave entrance is on a awesome boardwalk across a crystal lake. There is every type of cave formation inside this cavern, its beyond beautiful, the cave itself is so expansive and open! The pathways are all nice paved and flat. The tour is about an hour long and your your tour guide is so informative and fun! Some of my favorite parts are...the huge onyx circle, the "grand canyon", AWEsome Indian artifacts and burials that were really found near the entrance of the cave, a Moonshiners Dam that was actually used during prohibition, bear beds (from a long time ago don't worry), an awesome wishing well naturally formed from a "chimney" drip up above, and honestly so much more on top of the caves natural beauty. It's definitely an adventure that you should take an hour out of your vacation to enjoy, and enjoy you will! read more

we recently toured Stark Caverns. The tour was educational, informative and humerous. Lee was our tour guide and he made the tour! he appeared very knowledgeable and he was very personable. we have toured other caves in the area and I found this tour to be much more informative as I enjoyed learning the history of the caverns. We had a 3 year old with us and there were 2 other children on the tour . Lee was able to provide history and information that appealed to the adults and children alike. the children were engaged and no one was bored! it was fantastic. the gift shop was nice, restrooms were nice, clean and very cool.( it was hot and humid day so after the caverns and then going outside, the restrooms were a relief) All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Stark Caverns is definitely a site to add to your must see list when visiting The Lake of the Ozarks. The caverns are large with clear wide walkways and so many features. We had an amazing tour with Lee. He was absolutely engaging and we learned so much about the history of the cave and the Native Americans who lived in it. The details about the unique formations, levels, minerals and future plans were so interesting. The gift shop and people are wonderful. We will be returning on our next trip! read more

This was an amazing experience!!! We were there with my daughters age 9 and 5 and they had a wonderful time! The cavern trio was educational, fun and adventurous for all. It was cold as one gets into the inner cave. The formations were mesmerizing. The guide Lorrie was fun and educational. I would suggest this cavern a one of the things to do. Do carry along a jacket especially with kids. Also consider the black light tour. Kids under 10 are not allowed. read more

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience at Stark Caverns. With only 4 people in our tour, our guide, Paula, really made us feel special by providing entertaining information and stories. The cave was amazing and I have been in many different caves and this is the first one that had so many bodies of water that we walked over. I would love to bring our grown kids sometime! The grounds are beautiful, and the gift shop is a nice size with clean bathrooms. Most of the tour is accessible for people with disabilities, although there are some hills and stairs. The cave is huge and unique. Our guide, Sarah, did a great job on her first tour. They offer a lot of history and information about the different rock formations. It's a good stop on the way to the Ozarks. At $27 per person, I feel it is a bit expensive. read more

This was the first cavern tour for my husband and kids, and they loved it! Our tour guide, Kari/Terri, (I can't remember exactly what her name is), was fantastic! She was engaging with the younger kids on the tour, and she gave us amazing history lessons along the way! We were the last tour of the day and we ended up being the only ones so we got a private tour and it was great! Our guide Sierra was very knowledgeable and personable. Along with sharing all the history of the cave which was so cool, she also had entertaining stories to keep it fun and interesting. My husband and I went right as they opened on a Friday. We were the only ones there. Becky and her husband Charlie were very welcoming. It was our first time touring a cave and Charlie was our tour guide very informative & knowledgeable. Making our tour very nice and relaxed. Amazing and beautiful place!!! We had Gracie as our guide and she was extremely nice and informative. We had tons of laughs and I love some of the names they give the formations in the cave. Caving is so cool, I didnt know this existed, make sure you are prepared to get wet, the Cave drips.
