Many times I've seen people complain because Cathy would not wake up the kittens for them to play with. Kittens can not be disturbed from deep sleep or it can really mess up the developmental growth. Cathy can be a bit bold and strong headed but she has seen where these animals have came from and some sadly do come back to her. She is just trying to prevent the poor cats from going through the re homing cycle. Also, be honest on the application process; if your apartment does not allow animals don't lie and say they do.

Am I disappointed about not getting the cat? Of course. However, I think its just common courtesy to let someone know. Why did I have to drive to PetSmart 3 times to find out what was happening? With the huge amount of cats that need homes, why does Catz Jazz feel like they can just waste people's time like this? Needless to say, I would not recommend adopting a cat from this agency. There are plenty others out there that understand the idea of customer service.

We got an appointment with Dr. Pruitt for Friday, June 13 at 3 pm. Since we were new, we were told the appointment was going to be an hour long. We arrived 10 minutes early and checked in. Got called into the room around 3 pm. Intake took 10 minutes. We waited another 20 minutes until an MA checked in on us to tell us that there was an emergency and it wouldn't be long until Dr. Pruitt came. Waited another 10 minutes (be mindful that it was 3:41 pm already); Dr. Pruitt came in at 3:43 pm. We finished at 4 pm, waited for our paperwork, and paid at 4:06 pm. The whole appointment, besides the waiting portion, took a good 20-30 minutes, so I don't understand why the appointment was supposed to be 1 hour long. Honestly, not much to say... other than the fact that we should not have been waiting that long at all! It was a waste of time and if I knew we were going to be waiting that long, I would've rescheduled or gone somewhere else. Pricing- $94 for annual bird check up $36.60 for nail trimmings $41 for bird fecal $114 for gram staining, which we will do once we get results from bird fecal test. Our total came out to be $174... Overall, if we didn't wait that long, I would've given 4-5 stars, but because it was also our first visit, it honestly could've gone a lot better. Obviously emergencies happen, but it could've been brought to our attention that the waiting period may be a bit longer.

The front desk staff was incredibly kind and told me to bring him in immediately, assuring me his symptoms didn't sound like FIP. We were warmly greeted at the door by three friendly staff members who clearly adore animals. They listened to my full story--pink eye, Giardia, birdseed ingestion--and actually took it into account. They gently examined him, ran tests, treated him for ringworm and lingering Giardia, and even gave him digestible food and treats. He perked up instantly and played the whole visit. He was given a cozy room and the attention he deserved. The total cost for everything was around $400--far more affordable than the $2,000 quote from VEG for nothing but fear and pressure. They followed up multiple times to check on him, and at his follow-up visit five days later, he was thriving. Everyone was overjoyed to see him happy and healthy. It was emotional for us all knowing he was nearly euthanized for no reason. CityVet truly loves animals, especially cats, and provides care you can trust. I'm bringing all my pets here from now on.
