Keep this in mind while reading this review: I am allergic to cats. A few months ago my wife and I came here to spend some time with cats because we don't have one anymore and my wife loves them. Instantly from the start we knew this was a great idea because all of the cats present were adorable, cuddly, playful and very sleepy. There were a lot of other people in the area with us so it was good to see that all of the cats were able to get some time with all of us, and not just have some cats getting all the praise. The only slightly negative thing I can say is that the drink menu was just ok. It's not bad but I don't think I would get anything from it again only because I spent a lot of time looking after the cats rather than drink my coffee I bought. Over all I can confidently say that coming here was worth the sneezing and itchiness that followed. Then again you should just come here regardless of how your allergies affect you.

Best place on planet lol no seriously best place to relax and unwind. If you are in market to adopt a cat, this is the most comprehensive experience. Ample space and kitties. Loved all of them and its hard to not adopt them. They also have bobas and coffees. Super clean and full of adorable cats. Staff is experienced and knowledgeable. Very friendly-You get to hold and pet cats as much as you want! Great for kids. They should have them in more cities.

Such a great experience! The lounge was super clean, and all of the cats were so sweet and well-behaved. I had the chance to meet the owner, and she was incredibly kind and welcoming. They're also amazing with kids! My 4-year-old absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave! I really love what they're doing here. Definitely go support them, spend some time with the kitties, and you might even end up bringing one home

Purr-fecto cat lounge is adorable. It's a great place for a coffee or boba while getting to love on the cutest cats around! First off, they take the cats well being very seriously here. That is awesome! It's super clean and does not smell like it's housing lots of cats. They only allow in a small group at a time so it's not overwhelming to the animals, and gives everyone plenty of time to love on the babies. Definitely check it out if you want some cuddles or are looking for a new fur baby!

Eh, I love all animals and was excited to hear about a cat lounge! So during my day trip to Austin, my friends and I booked a 30 minute session. The cats were adorable, of course, I just didn't enjoy the vibe of the workers. Super strict about picking up the cats, and about your time. I still had time left and they kept walking around looking at the color of my sticker to make sure I'm not over on my time. The good part is that you can adopt a cat from here but I can't see myself going back.

Purrfecto kitty Cafe is fantastic! What could be more fun than having kitties to play with for 70 minutes?! The store is kept impeccably clean and the kitty guardians are there to help you identify which kitties are most playful but they aren't overbearing at all, just the perfect amount of bearing! I can't wait to schedule another visit.

We love this cat lounge! We went twice because we were interested in these 2 adorable kitties. The staff is so friendly along with the owner! The owner took time to speak with us about the cats and answered all of our questions. We go tomorrow to adopt them. Can't wait for our new furry family members!

Lots of cute little furballs! Noticed that most of them seemed like they were a year old or younger. Staff are nice and the place is clean.

This was a wonderful visit. Staff clearly explained things to us. The kitties were amazing. They were as sweet as possible. The place smelled clean and well taken care of. There wasn't hair and dander that I would normally expect. We had a great time.

This fool was sleeping on the job but too cute to care.

This place is a great idea for adoptions. We received a warm welcome and were instantly excited to see the kittens. They offer a small menu of drinks for the visit. And then different options to chill while you check out the merchandise. Jk definitely recommend.

I booked a private event for my girlfriends with champagne and we had an incredible time loving on the kitties. This was my first time at a cat lounge and I thoroughly enjoyed the setup and decor, but mostly, I enjoyed knowing that this place has been a welcoming sanctuary to cats. I too am an animal lover with an overwhelming love for cats and I always support charities that want to help our voiceless, loveable fur babies. Thank you Lupita for a job well done and keep up the good work. What you are doing is amazing!

    Fun for all ages!

We are cat people and we absolutely loved our experience. We'd gone to kitten adoption Yoga Event through Austin Pets Alice and came home with our own Pete the Kitten. This was a similar experience. $15 for 30 minutes was fun. (People should get longer if you actually leave with a cat, imho.) I didn't try the food or drinks because we were too busy herding cats. My daughter and her friend loved it. It was great to learn more about cats from the knowledgeable and friendly staff. And I love all the cat toys and longer options. It's very clean and well organized. It was fun to see a variety of kittens and cats including a Siamese. I will say that we went at 2:20 pm on a Sunday and the cats were done. They were having a Nap Out and at least 8 of them were snoozing. This meant that there were not enough cats left. Nowhere near one per person, for instance. I mean, I can see the cats' perspective. If I were a Purr-fecto Cat I might start a union and demand nap breaks as well. Overall the cats seemed very happy, and I would love to go back.

What a purrfect way to channel your inner cat through fancy stretching (aka yoga). Lights were dimmed and relaxing music played as we did our best to maintain downward dog while the cute kitties pounced and played. Afterwards, we had an opportunity to interact with the kitties. If not already taken, most were available for adoption. Biggest challenge with this class was not going home with another cat!

I fully support the need for rescues to carefully screen potential adopters and ensure dogs are placed in safe, appropriate homes. However, I was not informed in advance that the home would be expected to be fully "dog-ready" on the day of the site visit. During the visit, concerns were raised about items such as shoes and visible cords, despite the fact that practical solutions were already available and could easily be implemented before a dog was brought into the home. Had the rescue clearly communicated its expectations beforehand, I would have gladly prepared accordingly. Instead, the process felt more focused on identifying deficiencies than on understanding whether I had a thoughtful plan to safely integrate a dog into my home. I also found the overall experience to be more adversarial than collaborative. I expected the visit to be a conversation about responsible dog ownership, daily routines, enrichment, training, and safety plans. While those topics were discussed, I left feeling judged rather than supported. I appreciate the important work that breed rescues do and respect their commitment to their dogs. My hope is that the organization will consider providing clearer guidance to applicants about home visit expectations so that prospective adopters can prepare appropriately and have a more positive experience.

Someone reached out to me stating the kitty I wanted was still available. I filled out an application, but for some reason, BOTH my references didn't receive their forms. So, we had to forward the form to them to get it filled out ASAP as SOS was indicating they hadn't heard from out references. We had the situation fixed within a day or two (it was during Christmas time). I sent an email to Dee to touch base if they've received the forms from our references and then nothing but crickets chirping. I waited and waited and waited (knowing my references filled out their form and giving them the benefit of the doubt) but then this morning a got an email that the cat we'd been waiting in for 3 weeks+ was adopted. No reason, no explanation, nothing. I even sent an email this morning (giving them the benefit of the doubt) and have not gotten an answer per usual. It's amazing to me, they want to come do a home visit, get our references, want to speak with our vets, want all our pets shot records at a fast rate, but their communication is slow AF. This was supposed to be a Christmas present for our family after losing 2 pets (we used to be a dog family until my son asked for a cat) but now 4 weeks of work is GONE without even an ounce of communication besides an email from Petfinder that the cat we were waiting almost a month for is adopted. We found the Siamese Oriental and Snowshoe Cat Rescue network (SOS) via adoptapet.com. SOS is an incredible non-profit rescue center that takes in exotic breeds who have been abused or neglected. Though their application process is extensive, I appreciate how well they vet their candidates. They want to ensure their kittens find the purrrrfect forever home. In addition to the detailed application questions, you're required to submit your driver's license, a utility bill to verify your address, and 3-4 references (one of which cannot be a friend), along with your current pets' most recent vaccination records. Adoption rates vary depending on the feline's age and breed. Once your application is approved, you'll have a phone interview with a staff member or the executive director, Dee, to discuss the care of your potential new cat and address any lingering questions. Our application process took about 2.5 weeks from start to finish, including the interview. If you're in the area or want to make the trip to meet your potential new cat in person--it's definitely an option! We visited Ms. Dee's home and left that same day with the 9-week-old kitten we had applied for.
