I went to the Williamson County regional animal shelter on interloop and told them my problem and I brought the little dog with me. They were amazingly empathetic, helpful, and even loving. I can't say enough nice things. They took this little dog into the back with the vet and made sure that he was OK and checked for a chip. When no chip was found, they gave him a chip! Wow, that's over and above. They allowed me to foster this beautiful dog while they look for its owner. They put postings in several places and are truly trying to find this fur babies, mommy. In three days, if the owner hasn't been found, I'm bringing the little dog back and they are going to spay her and give her some shots! Absolutely amazing. I have never seen a shelter care for an animal in this manner before in my entire 62 years on this planet. My gratefulness is more than I can say. I am thankful to God for leading me to this shelter to help this little dog. I am happy to partner with Williamson County regional animal shelter now and in the future. Everyone who worked here was so kind. While I was there, a man walked in very distraught looking for his loving pet. 30 minutes later, he walked out with his pet and they were both so happy! This animal shelter is a true gemstone to Georgetown. My loving fur baby is licensed, of course, and because of that the animal shelter has provided me a tag that has a wonderful QR code on it. Because of that if she ever gets lost, I will be able to come up there and get her. That brings me much comfort. Please make sure to license your pet because Williamson County wants to help you make sure they stay safe God is good

We found our rescue boy after patiently searching for just the right guy! I had managed to convert…read moremy BF (and owner of the house) that life would be so much better adding a four legged fur friend! Looking online for bulldog types in the general central Texas area, I was directed to Texas Humane Hero's that had recently taken in three cuties. So late on a Saturday we stopped in. Your heart has to be strong to not leave with a carload of wet noses, and I found two of three I was looking for. The site only posts a single picture so it was hard to know all the unique characteristics of each beforehand, and I almost gave up when I didn't see my #3 contender up front. Glad I went all the way to the back where dogs that are getting medical care were. I found my forever guy, sitting on his bed, looking so confused and needing a friendly pat or 24000...I stood by his kennel and he came over, smooshing himself into the fencing to give me a 2" square of white fur to touch. I obliged, and asked to take him out. Unfortunately he wasn't able to that day, but a staff person was swapping him to a new kennel and while he was out we bonded instantly. He Leander into my leg and melted under my head scritches and ear rubs. I snapped a couple pics before he was lead away. The next two weekends were similar, with several visits that felt too short and time spent walking with him around the very large, (an acre?) open area scattered with a couple picnic tables and plenty of good smells. He was getting all checked out and fixed up to be listed as ready to adopt, and I knew this sweet face wouldn't last long, so on a Sunday we went back, filled out the easy paperwork, paid the fees and brought home our loving happy boy! He was underweight, due to a food allergy and had a bad neck abrasion from the cone of shame he wore after being neutered, but he was so happy to have a comfy place to call his own he was extra good and eager to settle in The staff advised us that it can take three months or longer to dogs to fully adjust in their new home and offered services like obiedence training to help the process if needed. It's been just over 4 months since bringing him home and the staff was right. It takes time, consistency and patience learning to trust each other but we feel like a family and our boy is doing terrific acclimating to so much change. Given the correct food and proportions his attitude has 100% improved at meal time and he's gained 15lbs! THH gave us lots of coupons for food and vet services which we've used, and he's up to date in the micro chip directory, too! Adopting our sweet boy was a silky smooth process. I'd recommend checking there first for your next dog...or cat companion! I almost forgot to mention that they have a really nice, indoor cat house too! Stop by, visit with these sweet souls or look into volunteer opportunities. Any help is appreciated.

This store is a wonderful place to go if you're looking for a small thoughtful gift for a cat owner. They have these wonderful peacock feathers for $1.75 each. They have great candles as well as other things. The decor is homey, quaint, and comfortable while quite stylish. They have ample parking. I will definitely be giving this store my patronage.

When I went to drop him off before hours, I didn't get to see the. place, but the building looked new and clean. They gave me updates and I appreciated the postcards/Facebook posts about many cat's well being. When I went to pick him up, I was impressed by how clean the place was, considering how my cats and finches were present. My cat's room was very clean, with a big window, the jungle gym setup, and a loft bed. The kitty litter had added fiber pellets, which I hope he liked since he hates sawdust litter. They gave me back everything that I left at dropoff, plus a toy. My cat was very calm, coming by his own free-will to greet the handler. To me, these were all green flags and I will highly recommend Whiskers to anyone needing a safe place for their kittens and cats to stay for a short (or long) spell. They know cats better!
