This is Junior A withing the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The players are within the 16-20 year range and many of them already have NHL contracts. I saved my program on the off chance that I once saw a furture star play here on his way up. The Sarnia Sting play at the arena at Lambton College and plenty of free parking was available. There were lots of knowledgeable hockey people here, although I was surprised that the arena was only half full at game time. The place also had a family feel and it could have been my mother selling those 50-50 tickets or raffling off the Mark Kati jersey. There was also a nice bar at center ice, of which you could see another game on the rink on the other side. The Sarnia Sting lost decisively that night and later in the week were eliminated in the playoffs. It was 5-0 after 2 periods and the 3rd period pretty much turned into a scrum as the home team got more than a little bit frustrated. The guys in back of me did point out the potential shining lights for next season as this Canadian pastime continues on. And just down the road, the Sarnia Legionaries (Junior B) were still in the playoffs......

I recommend zapping the fritter in mic for 20-30 seconds. It's even better with a hot cup of coffee, as you relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful river, seabirds flying by, and freighters passing under the Blue Water Bridge. The staff generally announces over the PA which freighter is passing by and fun facts (where it's made, how old, tonnage, etc.). The river walk is popular for fishers, walkers and their dogs. They even have seasonal scheduled events with musical guests and vendors for farmer's market. So if you're looking for a relaxed short road trip outing, this is a keen place. It seems that mostly seniors loiter around. Maybe that's why my retired folks really liked it when they were last in town? But there's also a mix of young families and couples too.

Since RBC purchased the branding rights, the maintenance on the building has improved significantly. The arena features a full service restaurant which overlooks both pads (lookup: The Hive). The rest of the food stands offer typical unhealthy stadium grub. The rink is probably a little too small to host huge events. That said, it has hosted Elton John and Jerry Seinfeld in recent months.

I play at courses all around Michigan and this course is Nothing special How would they know that we weren't Perspective members scoping out the possibility of joining? I wouldn't go back here if it was free and I live 10 minutes from the course!!

Been here twice this summer. Both times from group golfer that was purchased four or five years…read moreago. Heck of a deal I guess if I would've use them in time. $35 for around here plus a bucket of balls at the driving range. Since they expired I guess we had to pay full price which was an additional $55! Got a real feeling that they don't like people that are not members. Both times they made it difficult to schedule a tee time. Didn't return calls for 24 hours or more. For the round today I made a tee time a week and a half and advance. They stopped me and told me I couldn't make a reservation more than one week in advance..lol. So I waited a few days and called them back again. More of the voice message system and not returning calls. Finally made the reservation for this morning. Two days later I got a call from Brian "the golf pro " and he told me that they had no teetimes in the morning and we would have to wait until late in the morning for hours. We agreed. Imagine the surprise when we showed up and there were eight cars in the parking lot. So I guess we were lied to. One of the most uncomfortable experiences I've ever had. Talk about being made to feel unwelcome. Quite a smug character this Brian. Not very welcoming. Especially to people who would could be prospective members here. It's OK that Brian's not very good at his job. $40,000 doesn't get you much in an employee nowadays. He came out on the course and watched us. Drove up to watch us in the middle of the course at one point. He came out to make several rude and smug comments. When we played this course previously we had a pretty decent time. Thought it would be a fun place to come to if we lived closer. Based on our experience this last time I can assure you we will never be back.

We absolutely love coming to this fair every year. They have so many different fun and exciting…read morethings to do all week long. Parking is $5. Children 9 and under are free. Children 10-12 are $5 and adults are $10. There are so many different animal enclosures. We saw cows, pigs, horses, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, roosters, rabbits, and more. You can register for the auction of the livestock. They also have shows for different animals. We saw a bunch of horses with ribbons. We also went to a barn that had art items listed. The lady we spoke with said they have a toddlers and tots where kids can enter in may or june and get cute ribbons for their work. They also charge for adults to list but offer tickets with a listing. I thought this was pretty cool. There are tons of different merchants selling items and home goods. Tons of carnival rides and food stands as well. This place is massive with so much to see and do. Its definitely worth it.

I've been going to the Armada fair since I can remember! The prices of the food have gone up, but…read morethe animals from 4H are always inspiring to look at, the farm equipment is impressive and the shows are great. This week they had Uncle Cracker performing on Monday, monster trucks on Tuesday, demolition Derby on Wednesday, figure 8 on Thursday, and I went to the rodeo on Friday. On Saturday they have tractor and truck pull and then on Sunday again they have a tractor and truck pull. Ticket prices are $10 for adults starting at age 13 and over and $5 for kids aged 10 to 12 years. Military and special needs get in the fair for free and seniors age 62 and over cost $9. Now those ticket prices include access to everything at the fairgrounds all the grandstand events, but you pay extra for the carnival rides, and they have different daily rates and arm bands that you can buy for the kids or adults if you still like to ride
