P.S. Check google for hours because these hours are not always right! I would change them but it seems the hours change. I'm certain they are usually open Sundays, that is the day I went. This is an awesome park with four main attractions. It is massive. They had beer tents and area to purchase other drinks or food. They were also showing scary movies on a screen with a bonfire area in front of it. There is plenty of seating near the food areas as well. This gentleman let us try the 4D experience, and it was pretty cool. The lines to buy tickets moved pretty quickly. You can purchase them online. The great thing is all of the tickets are the same, so if you want two attractions it is the same ticket. This is awesome because if you change your mind and want to do the haunted house instead of the maze, you can do it easily. We got $5 off our tickets because I went online. If you go on the website you can put your name and email in and obtain a coupon. You can also get coupons at Spirit Halloween Stores. Each attraction is typically $15. We decided to try the Forest of Darkness as a group. To be honest with you, it was not scary at all. It was pretty cool, but I think they needed more people. It seems as though they hire more closer to Halloween. They had a lot of missed opportunities of being able to jump out in certain locations. They got a few gasps out of the group, but nothing really scary. Our second option was the maze. I hate mazes. For some reason, I pictured the corn stalk or hay. I'm not going to lie, I got really freaked out and confused near the end. It was a different type of scary. I coupd not figure out where we were going and how to get out. We kept circling around somehow, and we would always somehow locate another opening. An opening we passed before without seeing? So strange! Eventually we got to some kind of like prison area with fog and then I was really confused. It was so difficult to find the exit. We did find the entrance again but he told us we needed to go in and find the exit. I really liked the maze. Give it a shot. Next time I will check out the haunted house. I heard the hay ride was boring and for children so I did not go on that. They do sell bottled pop. They do not allow you to bring drinks in. They take $1 donation for parking or canned food! read more

TERRIBLE, we got shuffled in back to back and did not get scared at all. It felt like they were just trying to make the line shorter so they were filing in people back to back into the attractions. We heard every scare that was coming and were shoved in with people in front and people behind us. Even after asking if we could wait JUST a couple minutes after the people that were just sent in right in front of us, they did not care and still sent us in. We were basically on their heel the whole time. This cost us way to much money and it was not worth it at all. DO NOT COME HERE. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I wish we could get a refund. We spent 50 dollars per person for TWO attractions for the fast pass. I am so upset and so is the rest of my group. We WILL tell everybody we know not to come here. Thanks and no thanks. My partner and I travel across North America every October for the best haunted houses and horror events, and this absolutely was the best "home-grown" (non commercial) production. Actors were fantastic, mazes were well done and adequately staffed, and the entire experience start to end was very enjoyable. Had family purchased tickets online to visit Saturday (Website noted they ability to only buy tickets). Once we got there, we were told "the cops shut us down" and we could not use our ticket. Since we were visiting family and are from out of state, we don't have the ability to visit on a future date. Here's a simple concept. If you're selling online, put a cap to the amount of online sales, and stick to that. Now you've got hundreds of people being turned around (Including ourselves) because of your lack of preparation of sell outs and potential overcrowding. If you could go somewhere else, I would. My boyfriend and I received free tickets to the haunted hayride so we didn't to finally use them. We got there around 11:45 and had to wait roughly 45 minutes in line. The hayride was pretty boring. The story line dragged on and there wasn't any scary parts. Very few monsters, very few lights and no chainsaws. Definitely glad I didn't waste money on the tickets. There was a lot of potential there since they is a lot of acres but very few decorations. Mostly grass and dirt. Porta Potties lacked toilet paper and hand sanitizer. This 4 attraction event is fun and very creepy. Located in a large farm like remote area. The hayride was boring, not scary at all. It seemed they were understaffed. The guy who was talking through the hayride was entertaining and funny. We went in the haunted house and it was good. The creepy scenes were interesting and creative. I was scared! It was worth it. They also had several bonfires through out the area. A large screen outside to sit down and watch a movie. They also had a tent with music. I was so much more impressed with Scarefest's ticketing than at Blake's. We had been there a couple years and getting paper tickets and the lines are a complete shit show, even when buying tickets online. With Scarefest, you buy tickets online, pay for parking ($5 in 2022), and then they have one walking entrance into the park. The staff directs you to a window where you show confirmation of your online purchase and then get tickets for the specific attractions you want. Each ticket has a QR code on it that you scan to save your place in line. It is so convenient! After one attraction, we took a snack (many options) break but reserved our spot in line so it was ready when we were. At the beer tent, you buy tickets and then give the tickets to the bartenders for purchase. As far as how scary, my son said the hayride at Scarefest was better than Blake's but it wasn't overly scary. read more

I literally have no idea why it's less than 5 stars. This place is SCARY and has attractions for all ages. People come up and scare you and the Castle actually had me about to touch the emergency exit door and I do NOT scare easy. We eagerly anticipate Halloween/Haunted Attractions all year. This is by far one of the better ones. Not only was there a lot to do, but the actors and actresses did an excellent job creeping us out to the point of the guys screaming like girls and the girls screaming like banshees. One of the more impressive actors was our fire dancing narrator on the hay ride. His role of being capricious and scary was pulled off well. His mindless yet witty tirades had us rolling. Another favorite was the woman taking tickets at the maze and carnival who played the batty/simple minded girl. Her consistent "Hellooooooo" 's are still stuck in our heads. The contortionist in the Haunted castle was definitely bendy and insidiously note-worthy. The whole scream park was worth our 1.5 hr. Drive. read more

I love this place! I will not go anywhere else anymore for a haunted hayride! I bought a Groupon two years ago and my husband and I figured we'd try this place out. (we normally went to Slaughtered at Sundown) The guy who was our "tour guide" on the hayride was awesome! Very witty and played his character really well. Haunted Hayrides don't scare me so it was nice to have such a great tour guide who made everything interesting and entertaining. We go back ever year now! You can find $5 off coupons everywhere (also on their site). Even with just one coupon, they will give you $10 off for two people! The coupon is good until 9pm but they are lenient. They have heated beer tent with DJ for those who would like a drink/entertainment and lots of yummy carnival food. I have never been inside their haunted house but the outside is pretty cool looking. They also show Halloween movies outside on a large screen. The carnival characters they have roaming around are fun to watch. This year they had a guy who juggled knives and fire to entertain while waiting in line for the hayride. They scary characters will roam through the line and sneak up to scare unsuspecting victims. It's funny to watch people get startled and scream. If you're in the area, check this place out. There's lots to do or even just hang out with a beer after a hayride. read more

In the line, I was talking to one of the monsters, who were very good at the job, we even took a picture together! I had a lot of fun with friends when we went last night. We did the castle and the forest. When we first got into the forest, it was extremely muddy and slippery, almost like walking on ice. The jump scares got me and they had some really nice, scary actors. Except there was this one dude towards the end of the forest who was dressed in all black, no face paint, just glasses and an orange Carhart beanie on. He got extremely close and got in my friend's face saying that his "knife", or whatever it was, was what he used to lynch black men with. And the friend was a black man. He cut himself into our line of joined hands just to keep saying stuff like that in my friend's ear. We're all not sure if he was even part of the staff because he had no paint on. Very weird and just put a damper on the whole experience for us. We still had fun but very weird dude. read more

I would love to give a 0 but 1 was the lowest. The scariest thing here was the porta-potty quadrant. Lack of locks on half of them made for scary sights opening doors. The organizations and staffing level was laughable, you'd think it was put on by eighth graders. A two hour line for the indoor haunted house was due to 4 people let in every 8 minutes (who figured that insanity out??). We never even got on the haunted hayride which was about a 3 hour wait. The only "scary" part of the forest walk was the idiot trying to make a chainsaw voice with his mouth because he couldn't figure out how to start it LOL. Go to Wiard's. In Ypsilanti. We were so excited to go to this for the first time. It was a huge letdown. We purchased our tickets online because we were told it would lessen the wait and we showed up to be close to the head of the line for the hayride. 7:15 and the ride still wasn't starting and then the lights went out. Now, I understand things happen but no one ever came out to communicate how long we would have to wait for the ride to begin. It was freezing cold and windy. Finally at 7:45 we started loading. It was underwhelming to say the least and certainly not worth $15 per person. Maybe if we hadn't had to wait for so long I would have been a little more enthusiastic. 2 people in our group went through the Haunted House and liked it. But that cost an additional $20! Same exact hayride as last year. Waste of money where that was concerned. Beyond that, though, was the lack of concern for the safety of their guests. There was an extremely intoxicated patron who was drinking Bud Lights from his pockets and his wife's purse that he brought from home. He REEKED of alcohol, was staggered to the point of not standing up straight, threw up more than once and handed beers to patrons who were not with him and who quite obviously were not of age. This behavior was reported not once but twice and he was still allowed to go on the hayride. They did not ask the under aged patron about the alcohol handed to him, the grossly intoxicated patron was not escorted out until after they let him go on his hayride. Apparently, as long as this haunt makes their dollar, they don't give a damn about the safety or comfort of the rest of the patrons. It's disgusting that someone that was that visibly intoxicated was allowed to remain on the premises, that he was not questioned about handling alcohol to other patrons, that the other obviously under aged patrons were not questioned. Unfortunately, it was clear that the rain and late-ish hour (about 11pm) meant that the "zombies" were lack luster, to be kind. No noises. Some just stood there...no movement at all.
