This venue is beautiful and could be ideal for silent dancing, funerals, or tea parties, but I cannot recommend it for weddings. The property is owned by a husband-and-wife duo who initially seem very nice. However, they tend to hover around guests and micromanage every aspect of the event, which made us feel uncomfortable. During the wedding, the husband repeatedly harassed the DJ for playing the music above 55 decibels, even though we were unable to hear it ourselves as guests. Many attendees expressed their frustration to the DJ, asking him to turn up the volume. He then showed us a text message from the owners that included a decibel meter reading. It was clear that the DJ was being constantly interrupted, creating a tense atmosphere during what should have been a beautiful and intimate moment with friends and family. Honestly, how can anyone enjoy a celebration when the music is limited to 55 decibels? Because of this experience, I give the venue 1 star for weddings. I might consider giving them 5 stars for other events, like a yoga class or silent dance event, but the owners' approach tends to kill the joy of the occasion. read more

My husband and I got married at Starlight Grove in mid April 2024. It was the best decision that we ever made! Eden and Joe are both so kind and accommodating. We were able to have the venue for an entire weekend, which made the entire process easier. Starlight Grove does have chairs and tables available to use! We held our rehearsal dinner at the venue and were able to utilize the chairs and tables provided at no extra charge. I preferred wood tables and chairs for our actual wedding, so I used an outside rental company. Eden and Joe have absolutely everything that you need from decor to arches. This venue is the most amazing venue for a wedding. I had so many people compliment my wedding and say how it looked like a fairytale! We had it all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Eden and Joe are both so sweet and easy to work with! I used four backdrops they offered. And they have two Ctrains full of decor that you can use! They allow you to use any vendors you'd like as well. Foldable white plastic chairs and tables are included along with white linens. I rented fruit wood ones for more of an aesthetic look but I didn't need to. And they also gave me $200 off of the final price for rented other chairs! They also helped me set up and take down and they truly care about the property looking pristine and so beautiful I highly recommend this venue! read more

Where to start! I'm very happy that I had my wedding at this venue. The venue is so beautiful at night. The area is very spacious, you can decorate how ever you want. The owners lets you use whatever stuff they have on their storage and be creative. We had over 100 guests, all adults and had over 10 tables. I know they recently have new owners and they've been very helpful during the day of the event. I communicated with the new owners if we can start dropping off any alcohol and ice days prior to the event and they were very accommodating. They even met my family! Before the event, I always make sure that we read the contract such as providing event insurance, music down by 10pm but since I had my wedding ended at 10pm, it was no issue for us. Then started putting stuff away so it won't be a hassle cleaning up the next day and also so we can get our deposit back. The new owner helped us clean the following day, she separated the water bottles and cans for recyclable. I got such good compliments about having my wedding in this venue, I don't want to take all the credit. I have friends already interested of booking this venue for reception and baby shower. I really recommend this place and wish I can give more than 5 stars because I'll definitely will book this venue when I decide to throw a special event. read more

This was the most perfect venue for our wedding in April! My husband and I toured it a year before and absolutely fell in love. The property is gorgeous, has so many decorations and little details to use, and the owners are so kind and helpful. Eden answered a million of my questions and made everything so simple. I'm so glad we chose Starlight Grove because it was so memorable and beautiful. Our wedding was technically a destination wedding because it's about 5.5 hours from our home (and all our family and friends) but everyone was gushing about how the drive was so worth it because the venue was amazing. The bride and grooms suites are perfect for getting ready, and there's even a bathroom just for the wedding party if anyone needs privacy. Eden and Joe helped so much to make our wedding a perfect day, and it was!!! Even though it rained the day before and the ground was muddy, they put down some carpet grass to keep guests from getting wet. They thought of everything and were so helpful. This venue is gorgeous, however, we had horrible experiences with Eden and Joe. They felt the need to constantly hover around throughout the whole wedding from start to end. When everybody was at the ceremony area, Joe felt it was ok to go take some food from the food area without asking if that was ok and didn't even bother to cover the food back up. If he had asked, it wouldn't be a problem, but nobody has ate yet and I think that is rude. He was constantly texting the DJ throughout the whole night and not leaving him alone. Joe even went through trash cans in front of guests to take food for his animals during the wedding. Like why can't you do that after everybody leaves? The owner's worker also followed the groom to the restroom for no reason. I highly do not recommend booking your wedding at this venue unless you want the owners to be there supervising everything you do the whole night and not leaving you alone. The next morning, some decorations were missing and 2 propanes were missing as well and this is probably why they have so many "left over"decors in their storage area. read more

We had our wedding here and let me tell you, I can't speak more highly of this place. It was the first and only place we checked out. As we walked for the tour, I immediately fell in love and just knew that this is the place for my dream wedding. They have a few storage containers full of decorations we could use as well! Eden is simple and easy to work with. We were able to come by weeks before the wedding to look at the decorations and plan out the wedding. You are given all weekend, so Friday for set up, Saturday for set up and ceremony, and Sunday for take down. I was able to decorate it the way I wanted it with the help of friends and family, which made the event more special. The string lights throughout the venue made it look like a fairytale. If you are planning a wedding with a budget this is the place to have it. It's affordable, table/chairs and linen included, decorations included, arches and wine barrels are included, fire pits included, as well as heated lamps and fans. We came here to take family pictures and I had never even heard of the place. I looked it up online and saw all the pictures and I was in shock that this was the first time I had even seen this venue! When we arrived it was beautiful, so much better than the pictures we had seen. The little forest and the huge waterfall and then the bridge and little playground. The grass area and the statues and it was just full of surprises. I could see why someone would want to get married here, the firepit as well. My sister recently got married at Starlight Grove and the whole experience was nothing short of amazing. Since she opted to not hire a coordinator, I did a lot of the hands on stuff, myself. We first spoke to Bill, the original owner, who gave us a tour of the property and the rules/expectations last year in the midst of a pandemic nevertheless. My sister put a deposit and signed the contract! We met the new owners who were very sweet, accommodating, and made themselves available for any questions we had. They honored our original requests without any hesitancy and super easy to communicate with. The property: Beautiful matured eucalyptus trees, a central gazebo, and a large concrete area for dancing. There's separate bride & groom quarters as well as separate bathrooms (don't worry, there were signs to direct guests). There's so much grass and space to be as creative as you want. In addition, the property also has a few of their own wedding arches, wine barrels, and other decor available for you to use at your discretion. This place is perfect for the DIY bride! What is also a big plus is that there are workers the day of that will guide your guests to parking spots that are also located on the property. Please note that although this is an event space, it is also located near other residential homes so therefore the allotted time ends at 10pm. That was made very clear in the beginning along with other fine print on the contract. Our DJ was cognizant and kept the party people partying until his last call announcement. Which reminds me, I need to write a review on him! Be creative! This place is perfect for outdoor events. read more

The owners were extremely accommodating from time of signing all the way to the actual event. They bent over backwards to assure the grounds were clean and beautiful, especially after having A tremendous storm the week of our event. All requests and ideas were supported without any push back and they extended their assistance in set up and break down which is above and beyond as it was not in the contract and simply from their hearts. I wish I could give this place zero stars because the new owners are incredibly passive aggressive and disrespectful. My brother and sister-in-law had their wedding a few days ago on Saturday and the new owners were so nice to us during set up and the day of the wedding. We were told that on Sunday we had to have everything cleaned up by noon. there were about 10 to 15 of us that came at 10 AM to help clean up. By the time we got there everything was already done and a new event was being set up. the owner was a changed person and now extremely passive aggressive to not only me but the rest of my family saying that one of the bathrooms was abused, when I had actually gone in there the night before close to when we had left and it was perfectly spotless. She told me that we need to get all of our crap out of the bridal suite which was what we were there to do, but said it in in such a rude tone. come to find out some of our stuff is missing and we can't find it. In regards to clean up as well, we cannot find half of our decorations either which are incredibly expensive. On top of that, my brother-in-law's yeti cooler which is $600 was damaged and it was brand new. The complete 180 of the new owners attitude from setting up and the day of the wedding to the cleanup day is absolutely ridiculous and we were treated like shit for no reason when we were told the night before when to be there and when to be done and that's what we intended on doing. If you already booked this place I am so sorry because you might have problems with your contract because they clearly don't abide by it and will not give my brother and sister-in-law their deposit back for cleaning because they chose to do it themselves without allowing us the time to do it when we we showed up at the time we were told. Incredibly disappointing because their day was so beautiful and so fun, but had to be ruined the following day for not only them but the rest of us because we were treated so horribly. I wish that the old owners still had the spot because I was told they were so sweet and this place is absolutely beautiful to get married but it's not worth it for the new owners to treat you like crap and be rude to you. highly recommend finding someplace else for your special day so you can actually enjoy it. read more

My husband and I actually signed contract with the previous owner, however the new owner, Eden, is so sweet and very accommodating to our needs. The venue was beautiful but sadly the people who own the venue are extremely unprofessional/ignorant and it seems as if they don't know how to run a business, let alone a wedding/party venue. The whole night they were being passive aggressive, he (the owner) was extremely racist towards the guests and the party there! He also stated/complained that he didn't want loud music because my cousin had gotten a mariachi for his wedding day, he then proceeded to take away the mic from the mariachi. If I could give this zero stars I would. Don't book here!! I would say look else where unless you want your night/party to be ruined!!! read more

Penni the wedding coordinator was a gem hidden at this facility. The grounds were manicured and the center piece of the stage and dance floor are a great place for your next event. My fiancés cooler was damaged and we picked it up filthy, scratched, and placed in a dirt lot which is NOT where we left it. No opportunity was given to the family to clean up the morning after the wedding. If a venue plans to hold another event the day after, improve your communication between each client. Luckily I know of a bride planning to get married in late 2022 here and have warned her about the experience my brother and his new wife had. She is already looking elsewhere. The response to critical comments on this thread exemplifies the quality of service you will receive as a bride and groom. To the owner whom I anticipate to respond, carefully select your words. My wedding was beautiful and a perfect day... however, the new owners were not great. We had until Sunday at 12pm to clean up from my wedding the night before, and at 10 am when my family arrived for clean up, all of my stuff was thrown out of the way for another event that they double booked on my wedding weekend. In the process of this, multiple items were broken, damaged (including a $600 yeti cooler) and lost. They owners were rude and pushy when my family was there, saying they needed to hurry, even though we had a signed contract that said we had until 12 to clean. I tried calling to reason with the owner and try to get my cleaning deposit back since we didn't even get a chance to clean, and she was rude and disrespectful to me. I spent the whole day after getting married dealing with this, rather than enjoying my new marriage. The owner still refuses to give the cleaning deposit back. To add to this, they spray something to kill bees. There was dead bees all over my tables and the ground around the venue. So so so disappointed, I would not recommend. read more

Bill was super accommodating as well, and kept making sure we had what we needed. So generous. I've shot two weddings at this venue and both were magic. They let us shoot anyway, and my brides were so happy! They came in the nick of time for me, after my last TWO venues had canceled on me last minute. I can't say enough about this venue! This venue is breathtaking which is why this venue was chosen with the previous owner. The new owners are very passive aggressive. Live music was given as a gift which was then turned away by owner as it wasn't aloud. The dj can't be too loud even before 10pm and they will sit on the property watching the event and measure degree of loudness. The lights were shut off by 11 exactly even though we will we're still cleaning to give us a head start for clean up the next day since everything had to be cleaned before noon Sunday. Throughout the day of event the owners continued to be micromanage even on things That were approved before. It's unfortunate the old owner left who was very welcoming. The lack of security when we confirmed that was included in previous contract was also unfortunate. Leading to cars being tampered with. I would not recommend this venue it is breathtaking but is a headache to deal with. read more

I could not have asked for a better venue! This venue was so kind, helpful, dedicated to my dream, and beautiful. I booked this venue a year before my wedding and they let me come out whenever I needed, Bill helped me measure and showed me all of the items they had for me to use at no cost. The weekend of the wedding was seamless, Bill had the venue cleaned and ready to go when we were there Friday AM. Penni who just started about a week before my wedding was on top of it! She was there Friday ready for any questions or things I needed and the day of the wedding was a dream! She was around and was super helpful but I didn't feel like she was overbearing. She was able to help my day of coordinator so I didn't have to worry about a thing. Sunday clean up was super easy and relaxed, we didn't feel rushed or like we were invading their space. They returned my cleaning deposit before I was even home from my Honeymoon! I cannot thank this venue enough for going above and beyond. Nothing was off limits to me, Bill told me anything I wanted we could do and we did. They just got new Bride/Groom rooms that are beautiful and roomy. The bathrooms were a very big factor so it was very convenient that they have real bathrooms with handicap stalls. Also want to add the price is unbeatable! We looked at multiple venues and this one definitely gives you the best bang for your buck! I could go on and on at how special they made my wedding! read more
