It is rare to find a childcare provider that feels like a true extension of your own family, but after years of being part of the Miles of Smiles community, I can say with absolute certainty that Biana and her team are in a league of their own. My younger son is thriving just as much as his older brother did. The team treats him with such genuine love and affection that any "drop-off guilt" I would have had is replaced by complete peace of mind. Environment: The facility remains meticulously clean. Despite the daily whirlwind of activities, the toys are sanitized, the floors are spotless, and the "daycare smell" simply doesn't exist here. Safety & Communication: Biana remains incredibly proactive. Whether it's an update on a minor "ouchie" or a clear plan for air quality and safety, her communication is thorough and immediate. Nutrition/Development: We continue to be amazed by the meal program. Just like his brother, my 18-month-old eats nutritious, homemade meals at Miles of Smiles that he would likely turn his nose up at at home. We are also impressed that he constantly demonstrates the fine motor skills and vocabulary Biana works so hard to cultivate. If you are a parent who is hesitant about daycare or worried about finding a place that meets your "particular" needs, Biana will put you at ease. Having sent two children here through different stages of their early development, I can testify that the level of care, hygiene, and genuine love at Miles of Smiles is unmatched. Our twin boys…read morestarted at 1.5 years old (will be 4 this June), and from day one we've trusted her and her team completely. They truly have become like family to us. It gives us a peace of mind knowing our boys are safe, happy, and genuinely cared for every single day. We've watched our boys grow into independent, loving, and smart kids, and we credit so much of that to the play-based learning and daily care they receive. The curriculum is thoughtfully adjusted by age, which we really appreciate, and the small child to teacher ratio makes such a difference. Plus, the kids eat so well! Everything is included and made fresh daily, which is a huge win and time saver for parents. Biana goes above and beyond in the best way. The daily projects (especially the holiday ones!) are adorable. She also puts on the cutest summer and winter concerts for all the kids and families, where the kids get to sing and perform. They're such a highlight and honestly just so fun to watch. The staff truly cares about the kids and it shows. They're loving, attentive, and so invested in each child. We also love the weekly music and gymnastic classes, and Biana always captures the best photos around the holidays and birthdays. However, the village staff did an excellent job making sure mama bear was at ease with the new transition. After the first week at the village, I noticed my child was talking a lot more. A huge difference from the previous child care my child was attending that did not stimulate him at all. My child was talking more and interacting with others to the point I am upset I didn't find this place sooner. LEARNING: After the first month, my child learned all of his colors and was able to count to 20. I owe it all to the Village for making learning and playing fun. The Village has a classroom and huge play areas for children to explore. The Village prepares children for school by reading, counting, coloring, singing, and providing structure. PLAY/FUN- my child was always by the door and ready to leave his previous daycare provider. At the Village, has so much fun it's sometimes hard to get him to leave. The staff always has a fun day planned- from water day to Dr. Seuss Day. CLEANLINESS- this place is immaculate and very well organized. Common areas are always cleaned and sanitized. I wish my home was as clean as this place. I would recommend the village to any parent. It was the best decision I made for my child sending him there. My son was actively engaged every day with painting, dancing, growing plants, cooking lessons, and story time. By 18 months, my son knew four colors, spoke in 3-4 word meaningful sentences, asked questions, had a vocabulary of well over 100 words, could name a dozen animals and their sounds, played pretend, and could identify a word on each page of his favorite books. He cleaned up his toys when asked, apologized when he hurt someone, said please and thank you, and even cleared his own dishes and wiped his spot at the table after dinner. That kind of independence and empathy at such a young age was extraordinary--and entirely due to the care and structure Miss Cassie provided. By age 4, my son was reading, writing his name, cutting complex shapes, counting to 100, and could name all the planets in the solar system along with their characteristics, among many other advanced skills. If you want your child to gain lifelong social-emotional skills and enter kindergarten well above grade level, this is the place. The waitlist can be long, but Miss Claudia does her best to accommodate working parents.

Stay away! At first,…read morewe had very high hopes after meeting Ms Claudia and doing the complete tour of all locations. There were few red flags at the beginning, but being new parents, we kind of brushed them off. Big mistake: 1) Ms Claudia tried to change the diaper of our 1yr old daughter. She tired to have her lay down on a changing pad, which our little one would have none of it. Our girl was hysterically crying and trying to break free from this woman who has "extensive experience". We couldn't believe what we were seeing: Ms Claudia totally ignored our girls hysterical crying, and continued her "left-right" story as if this is normal. It is not normal. My wife made sure to let her know that our little one has never cried like this, not even during her vaccine shots! 2) During one of our visits, we heard barking from one of the rooms, and were told that one of the dogs recently gave birth that there were 6 puppies. I love dogs, but 6 puppies + 2 adult dogs in a fairly tight indoor space is not ideal when toddlers are trying to nap. We made sure to read the Parent Handbook and fill out the forms and pre-pay for the first month tuition, even though we were just starting the 4-week Trial Period. Our child only attended 2 days (in the Trial Period). I informed Ms Claudia that we will not continue further, and only ask that we are refunded for the pre-paid monthly tuition ($1,995). In her Parent Handbook (pg 14) it clearly states the following: "At any time during the four (4) week trial period, if the provider or family feels that this is not a suitable arrangement for the child, the contract can be terminated by either party without penalty, notice, or specific reason. The security deposit will be refunded in full and the family will only be responsible to pay for the days attended." Totally reasonable. We had no problem paying for the 2 (gentle days) she attended along with the non-refundable registration fee. But there is a catch! When I brought up the tuition refund, I was informed that the "tuition" is non-refundable. A tuition paid for a month in advance, where my child never attended a single day. You've gotta be kidding me! I will seek legal advice since this is clearly breach of the contract we signed with conflicting details.

The site is so colorful, often the walls are covered with the childrens art work and you're always greeted warm welcomes and smiles. As first time parents and not having any family close by we were nervous about putting our son in daycare at 3 months old. We toured other daycares in area but none came close to what Benicia KinderCare had to offer. Mrs. Erica and the infant room teachers made the transition easy. They would send daily updates and pictures through their app, easing my nerves about putting him in daycare at such an early age. But thank God we did, because when my son turned 8 months I was diagnose with stage 2 appendiceal & colorectal cancer. During my recovery the teacher helped provide some extra love & care to our son, and those daily updates and pictures became my lifeline to him while I went through my surgeries, long stays in the hospital & treatment. My son is now 2 years old and is in the Preschool class. Weekly we are surprised by something that he has learned, how he is developing motor skills and language or how social he has become by making so many friends. Our son is constantly happy and excited to go to daycare every morning, which speaks volume to how the staff treat him and all the children. Would highly recommend Benicia KinderCare to any family in need of daycare services.

We just took our son out of this place due to ongoing issues with high staff turnover and…read moreinconsistent communication from the director, or should I say directors, as they have had four different directors in the last year. We've had our son there for the last three years, but in the last year, it's gone downhill. Every week for the last three months, we've kept seeing fewer and fewer students, and we're trying to hold out for when he starts at a new school. However, it has become a breaking point and a safety concern for our son. My recommendation is not to put your kid here, as they don't have their operations in order to handle kids at this time. It's too bad, as it was once a good place. To add, teachers are unhappy and getting their hours cut, and continue to complain that there is just not enough staff to support kids.
