We are beyond blessed to not only have Starpath be a place our daughter is flourishing as a dancer, but influencing her as she matures into a young woman & strong leader. It took us 1.5 years after moving to find a studio that held the same values as we had with modest costumes, age appropriate movements, & music that positively impacts impressionable hearts. Starpath has truly become a 2nd home since opening doors and we consider all the instructors, Lindsey, & Janice family. From day to day operations, to special events, to competitive teams, this place is well organized & runs like clockwork. There is an incredible human aspect & genuine love for the students that has always remained forefront even through explosive growth. The handwritten thank you cards from founders after volunteering & the instructors desire to know what is happening in kids day to day life are only a few examples. This love for each other is learned & reflected in the way older students care for & lead the younger ones. Opportunities for competitive team are not focused on "winning," but linked to dancers opportunities to grow in confidence, respect, perseverance, & dance education. There is no "hierarchy" feeling as relationships are valued first. Competing is fun, but the favorite performance events are community based from UNC hospital, retirement home, to Boys & Girls club. We LOVE Starpath Dance Academy!! My two girls have been there for 3 years and I am so impressed with the progress they have made! My 5year old is in the Starlight kids program and my 8 year old is on the performance team. This studio is the perfect mix of learning technique and having FUN! All of the teachers seem to take a personal interest in your children. As busy as the teachers and office staff are, they will always take the time to answer questions or give you a quick update on how your child is doing in class. I have found emails to be answered reasonably quickly. The owner is also very particular about keeping costumes, music, and dance moves age appropriate, which I really appreciate!!! read more

Starpath Dance Academy is a wonderful dance studio staffed with professional and talented dance teachers who truly care about the children. I have a 5-yr old boy and a 3-yr year old girl who both have started at Starpath last year. It was their first dance experience and Starpath truly embraced them into the dance family that is formed by this local studio. I thought that my son wouldn't like dance lessons but his teacher worked with him and eventually he came to like dance. Now he is attending an ALL BOYS HIP HOP CLASS that he absolutely loves. This year will be our 3rd recital at Starpath and we can't imagine going any place else. My daughter has spent 3 summers here also, one time in a class and 2 princess camps. This is the best place for kids of all ages. The costumes are great, the classes are amazing and the teachers are wonderful. I highly recommend Starpath and any of their teachers. My mother had a dance studio for 45 years so I am very observant and picky of where my daughter dances. We also did my daughters 4th birthday here and it was amazing. All the girls had an amazing day and went home exhausted. I pass by 2 other studios just to get here because this is the BEST! read more

Starpath is a fantastic dance studio. My daughter has been dancing for 12 years, 3 of them now at Starpath since it opened. She absolutely loves the studio and considers it her second home. The staff is attentive and caring and work so hard to make sure every student is reaching their potential. The owner is incredibly enthusiastic and her energy is passed on to her teachers and her students. The studio has a wonderful family feel that brings everyone together as is evidenced by the amount of parent volunteers at events and student TAs in the younger classes. This is the first year for my two daughters but I'm so impressed of their studio, very age appropriate dance setting and friendly and extremely responsive staff. Ms. Sierrra is my daughters teacher and she is amazing- always active, cheerful and pleasant. Plus, she is very patient to the little kids. My daughters are always eager to go their dance classes. The parking lot is almost always busy because it shares its parking lot with Harris Teeter and a few other. So make sure that you go there ahead of your class time not to miss anything. :) Highly recommended to everyone who is new to dancing and this area! read more

The instructors and staff in this dance academy are super sweet and nice. Our daughter loves Miss Sierra a lot. She sometimes has emotion days and doesn't want to go in to the classroom. But Miss Sierra always cheers her up and makes sure every kid is happy. Once she is in the room, she becomes happy again and enjoys the whole class. After each lesson, although there is only small amount of time in between lesson. Miss Sierra usually comes out with the dancers and let family know if there is some question or concern. I can not say enough about Starpath Dance Academy. My daughter has been there since they opened and has loved every minute of it. The teachers are fantastic! We love Starpath, the studio is so cute and clean! Everyone we've met on staff have been great! We drive from 2 counties away just to let our daughter continue dancing there and will continue to as long as she wants to keep dancing. Starpath is home away from home. The bond the dancers form is incredible. They support each other and build each other up. My daughter really enjoys the teachers and has a great relationship with them. Starpath has provided an abundance of great opportunities for my daughter as a dancer/performer. You can choose your level of involvement, from casual to intense study and there is a range of styles for all ages. My three-year-old started starlight tots class this year. We are very happy with the school !! My daughter is very excited to go to her class every week and adores her teacher Ms. Sierra. I also feel that the curriculum is developed keeping in mind the overall development of the kids giving a well-rounded experience. Especially for little ones starting out a new class. My older daughter has been going to Starpath since she was 2. Now in her 3rd year, Mia enjoys going to her tap/ballet class and hip hop class every week! The teachers really bring out the best in her and she is always eager to learn! My younger one has started with mommy and me classes and we hope she enjoys dance as much as her big sister! My daughter attended another dance studio (at ages 3-4) prior to switching to Starpath, and I practically had to force her to go to each class. When she started at Starpath I assumed she would act the same way, however, Ms. Lindsey has such a dynamic, friendly demeanor that my daughter immediately fell in love with ballet. The instructors really know how to keep kids engaged and excited about dance while teaching them strong technique at the same time. Recital costumes are modest and age-appropriate.
