She would adjust me but never mentioned anything actually being wrong with my back. When I saw Dr. Donath he immediately told me that I likely have bulging discs and would need an MRI to identify the exact issues. I had the MRI done which showed two bulging discs. I started spinal decompression therapy and my pain is GONE. It has changed my life. Also, maybe some people out there can relate that I love watching y-strap (and ring dinger) videos on YouTube. Dr. Donath did the y-strap on me and it helped so immensely. I have three small children and have neck pain from hunching/holding them/always being on my phone. The y-strap fixed my neck immediately. I look forward to doing it again and hope to get more relief in my upper back next time. I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Donath. Even my 5 year old says how mommy no longer is in pain and no longer complains. I can play on the ground with my kids and not feel that constant ache. If you have seen chiropractors with no resolution to your pain, PLEASE go to Dr. Donath. It has changed everything for me.

Everyone is really nice and they do a good job of making you feel comfortable. However: The entire process from start to finish is a bit of pseudo-science. You are first given a free book to read about decompression therapy and then are required to get an MRI to become a eligible patient. Turns out I had four herniated disks which just so happen to be eligible for decompression therapy. I was then quoted a figure of $7,000 for the entire 30 session process. Shortly afterwards I was exposed to dozens of alleged testimonials about how successful the process was. I figured that it would be worth the investment so I went ahead and started a payment plan with them. The process itself is a bit lackluster - you are literally laying down as a machine pulls at the bottom of your skull a centimeter or so for about 20 minutes. You are also given ice packs to take home with you and you're told multiple times to make sure to ice the neck and lower back area at least 5 times a day. For the most part, the pain started to go away although there were some times when I wake up with excruciating pain for a day which eventually went away. Fast forward 30 sessions later, and I noticed my pain started to return. However, the only thing that changed was that I was getting a bit lazy with the icing of my neck. And then it hit me, maybe it's the ice that is doing all the work and not the stretching. Either way - I asked for a copy of my statement for tax purposes and it turned out that $7k quote was a lie. I was charged $255 per session and my bill came out to $8,950 (~35 sessions). To summarize, nothing against the people that work here, but it seems sketchy. I wouldn't recommend unless you've tried surgery already and it didn't work.

Other medical practices should take note of the way Bonte Medical operates, and by all means implement their practices for the betterment of their patients. Moments after my initial contact -- a simple email asking if they accept my insurance -- I received a call from the office confirming they do, and offered to set an appointment as soon as that afternoon. In the office, the staff was equally attentive taking the time to get to know me, my medical history, and understand why I was visiting. During the procedure, Dr. Bonte explained everything that was going on and what was about to happen; there were no surprises. Unlike other medical practitioners, I never felt that Dr. Bonte was trying to distract me from the process. The following day, I received a call from Bonte Medical to make sure I was feeling okay, and to give me the chance to ask any additional questions. That level of patient concern... I mean, when was the last time your doctor's office called you after an appointment to check in? C'mon man.. that's awesome.

I would strongly caution anyone considering King Street Rehab and Nursing Center for a loved one…read more My mother was admitted for subacute rehab after a stroke, and what we experienced was beyond unacceptable. On a daily basis, she was dressed in other residents' clothing. Call bells would go unanswered for over an hour. I spoke with the Director of Nursing repeatedly and was reassured things would improve, but they only got worse. Because she was left sitting in urine and feces for extended periods of time, she developed a severe UTI. Instead of addressing the neglect, they actually stopped giving her a necessary liver medication because it caused bowel movements and they didn't want to deal with changing her. That decision alone speaks volumes. Patients are routinely left sitting in wheelchairs in the hallway for long periods, with little to no engagement, like they are being warehoused. I personally witnessed a nurse handling a patient improperly. When I addressed it, she became defensive and nasty, and when I escalated it to her supervisor, there was no concern or accountability. I spent hours there every day because I did not feel comfortable leaving my mother alone. I had to bring her food because the facility's food is poor quality. At one point, they even told my mother she should not participate in recreational activities because she might feel embarrassed after her stroke, which is incredibly disheartening and inappropriate. The most alarming moment was when I walked in one Saturday morning and found my mother alone in her room, actively choking, with no staff around. I had to run out and find help myself. She also had significant bruising on her hands that was not explained. We documented everything and filed formal complaints. On the surface, the facility looks clean and modern when you walk in. But what happens behind the scenes, especially when family is not present, is deeply concerning. If you care about your loved one's safety, dignity, and proper care, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I personally witnessed her screaming at a CNA while on duty, which was very uncomfortable and unprofessional to observe. The way she spoke to staff was inappropriate and unacceptable in a healthcare setting. From what I heard, her behavior also appeared to be sexist and homophobic toward a young male CNA. This kind of conduct creates a hostile work environment and should be taken seriously. I believe her behavior and communication with staff need to be reviewed by management. The cna took care of my cousin and he was amazing. I feel bad for what he had went through.

This modern-looking facility is large and has everything- and I mean every equipment for rehabilitation, injury, management, etc. to restore physical function. But you have to do your work at home too- just don't rely on coming here and call it a day. And that's how it happened when I began with SportsCare in January to strengthen my knee. From the front desk to PT assistants(?)- everyone has been helpful- but I need to give Abey 'Ebby' Oommen- my therapist a shout-out for providing personalized care using a variety of techniques to promote movement, reduce pain, restore function on my left knee and achieve my goals. He also taught me how to avoid further damage on my knee tear so that I can achieve even more health benefits leading up to my surgery that I had in late June. Currently, Ebby is the man of the hour. Heck, he's always been since starting with him in Jan. '23. He's professional, super friendly, chill, caring and truly listens to you, your pains and gains. I mean the guy gives you results and instant relief. Again, you have to do your part as well. My very first PT visit post-surgery with Ebby was something I was looking forward to. Even though my foot walking position was off, he was astute and corrected that ASAP. I still have ways to go but what I also know is- he stays up to date on exercises and stretches that will benefit me and always uses best practices.
