However, I did ask Hawa to send a house keeper for weekly maintenance 2 days after the deep cleaning wasdone by other team. They came at 12.45pm and left at 6.30pm. And then proceeded to charge us $655 - that's a rate of $60 per person (2 people) per hour. That is unbelievable. And they said it's because deep cleaning was required - which is false because I had literally just got deep cleaning done. When I asked her to tell me how she got to that rate, she said "it is what it is". In short, crooks. I will certainly NOT be using their service, no thank you. And buyer beware. I'd be happy to pay their hourly fee." I booked both of our cleaning appointments with Patrice (owner) in October. I solidified everything two days prior via a text and phone call. The first job was to simply help with some deep cleaning of the house we were moving into. Lauren and Kenny showed up, on time, and did a fantastic job. They personally receive 5 stars from me! ***I would hire them again in a heartbeat...if they were NOT affiliated with Maid in Whidbey*** The second job, helping to provide a lite cleaning of the house we moved out of, is where Maid in Whidbey completely let my family and me down. Our appointment was scheduled for 10:00am on Sunday, November 5th. At 9:45am I got a text from Patrice asking "how flexible" my schedule was because they were running behind. Changing the time wasn't an issue, so we re-scheduled for later that day (1:00pm). At 12:50pm I received a phone call from Patrice stating that they weren't going to be able to come at all that day because they were so far behind. Not wanting to completely cancel, we once again rescheduled; Monday morning at 8:00am. Now, normally I wouldn't mind nor stress about the rescheduling, however, our move out inspection was scheduled for that day at 3:00pm. My husband arrived at our old house at 7:45am, just in case they were a bit early. He was there until 11:00am cleaning by himself because MAID IN WHIDBEY FAILED TO SHOW UP AND PROVIDE THEIR SCHEDULED SERVICES. My husband and I called and text Patrice, to no avail. I reached out over Facebook Messenger and received no response. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt before posting this review, thinking maybe she would touch base and explain why she didn't show up. However, it's been 48 hours and we've heard nothing. I attached pictures of our final conversation. Patrice, you ended up being such a letdown. We came back to our home after being gone a few weeks to find over $1000 of items missing. When we called her she failed to tell us more than one person had been at our house. The police had a hard time reaching her and when we emailed her and told her they were going to file a court order, she finally called them and obviously notified them that it could be several people. One gal has been arrested, though the police said she is probably not who stole from us (my guess is others reported the crimes too) and that they are investigating other people who may have robbed us. I deal with a charity that helps homeless and at risk people but, I would never allow them into a clients home unsupervised. She put us at risk and I am sure we will discover more items missing as well. She is not honest and did not disclose she hired others to do the work.
