Daniella served me today and was friendly and quick. She was a familiar and wonderfully friendly face. I always order the meat lovers or butcher block breakfast bowl and I have over easy eggs plus mushrooms and fresh jalapenos. It seems that the portions are getting smaller and smaller. The kitchen missed adding the mushrooms but Daniela was quick to take the upcharge off of the bill to accommodate it. Daniela made the experience quite nice for breakfast. I hope the portions do not keep shrinking :-). ive been to this restaurant about 5 times before and up until now I have received excellent service. My server "trinity L" was completely rude. She wasn't consistent with filling up any drinks or checking on us at all. she gave us attitude when taking our order isn't of letting us explain how we wanted our food. The coffee tasted burnt. I was assured it was still Segafredo but it most definitely did not taste remotely like it. The hollandaise was thin and flavorless. The Canadian bacon were thin little pieces on the English muffin which was not toasted. My vegetarian omelette was lacking flavor and fluff. Our server, who has been at the restaurant for 2+ years gave us wonderful service on a full and busy Mother's Day. The new owners, although quite pleasant, did not seem equipped to run the hostess stand/flow chart. Making parties of 5 wait while one person sits at a booth enough for 8 holding it does not make for an efficient seating flow. What I keep discovering is Texas has some awesome places to explore and eat. Today my family and I went to Starwood Cafe. This is a breakfast/brunch spot. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I had the sausage gravy and biscuits. This was so delicious and the biscuits never got soggy. The pancakes are huge and they have a variety of omelettes to choose from. Did is mention that the orange juice is freshly squeezed in house. If you are ever in Frisco Texas you gotta check them out. read more

When Starwood becomes Mehwood... The only reason I'm not giving the Starwood Cafe 2 stars is because their staff is made up of stars and have never been anything but nice and professional, and the restaurant itself is always clean and inviting. The low score here is based solely on the food. We've eaten here several times, and the quality of the food has decreased exponentially over the last three times. Initially, it was forgivable transgressions like an overcooked item or something that may have been unseasoned, but on our last trip, it became almost unforgivable... the chicken tasted like it had been cooked in bad frying oil, and the waffle was gritty and wasn't even comparable to some hotels' self-serve waffle stations I've eaten at. I ate about half of the chicken thinking maybe it was me, trying to figure out what was wrong, tried different combos of waffle and chicken and syrup, hoping maybe I was doing something wrong, until I had my wife take a bite and she said "stop eating it." She knew right away. Now, it's not in me to send food back or even complain in person. Maybe that's because of childhood trauma, but I'll save that for my next facebook post about being a better person because just like Starwood Cafe, I'm digressing. I really hope they turn it around and bring their quality back, because when they're good, they're great! read more

I don't see the hype about this place. It is entierly too loud here. I get that it was peak busy hour when we were there, but the staff did not hep by scraping chairs eveywhere as they were bussing the tables,and the music just added to the noise. For how many times our server interrupted us, she sure didn't refill our drinks. She ran off too quickly before someone finished chewing. We were a party of 4 and 2 of them are elderly. To them, this enviorment was not comfortable at all. Almost every time our server came, all of us, or one of us were mid-chew or mid-sentance with one another. It went like this, "How is everything-- great-- " *zooms off* It's like she was on automatic mode or something. The heuvos rancheros my boyfriend had was too crunchy, and h didn't like that in a flour tortilla. He said itt was like they dipped a flour tortilla in oil, so why not just get a tostada shell??? My eggs benedict felt like it was doing the most when it could have done a little less-- if that makes sense. I didn't care for the tomato on it. It was a texture thing, it didn't pair well, so Itook it off. Also, the salmon seemed a little more well done than smoked. It seemed like IT was cooked hard like on a stovetop. It also didn't have that signature smoked texture/look about it. Also, I asked my server to put my hashbrowns in for,"lightly cooked and not crunchy at all." The kitchen failed in this. Only waited for 5 minutes, we gets our table ready, Order the chicken Benedict and banana Nutella crepe with a fresh squeeze orange juice. Love the orange juice and the crepes. There are several Starwood Cafes in close proximity to me although I enjoy this one the most! It's small yet light and airy. I'm a big breakfast lover and this restaurant has all bases covered - delicious skillet options, omelettes and pancakes. There's a small coffee bar where they brew up speciality coffee drinks. The servers are always friendly and food service quick! Seating is mainly booths with a few tables. If you have a group over 6 there may be a wait in order to push the few tables together. For groups I'd recommend having breakfast early to avoid waiting. read more

Ordered $9.95 grilled ham & cheese and water. First impression was the taste of the water. Their ice machine is definitely not being cleaned appropriately because it tastes of mildew. Ham & cheese plate came out with pickles touching the sandwich, but there is no mention of pickles on the menu. I hate pickles. The smell of them ruins the meal, but I push through. Ham & cheese sandwich is two thin slices of what they call sourdough, but there is zero butter on it. They just grill it plain. Anything to cut costs I suppose. There are two thin slices of ham on the sandwich and what little cheese that was on the sandwich was shredded! Fries were amazing! I ate half the meal and took the rest to go. They again tried to minimize costs by bringing me a to go box that was twice too small. Forgot my wallet and tried to pay with my phone. Nope. Don't get me wrong. I'm not a complainer. The food at starwood cafe was really delicious. I ordered the huevos rancheros (which is my litmus test for breakfast places and diner like restaurants). The places is new and although there isn't much parking for this little strip of restaurants the decor is new and spacious and nicely designed. The ceiling is high and the acoustics are not great for parties 6 and more. Couldn't hear anyone talking on the other end of the table. If you want to grab a breakfast and eat and go, this might be a good place for you. If you are meeting people and want to catch up and talk, probably not the place for you. The wait for the food isn't so bad (we had a part of 7), and the food was delicious and generous portions, but a couple of minutes after the food arrived, the waiter started coming around to remove plates or ask if we were finished. I was barely 1/4 the way through eating and my daughter only had a few bites of her food. This continued several times and another waitress came and started piling up dishes and taking away my tea, which I had not finished. If you eat really fast, and don't plan on talking with whoever you go there to eat with, then this is the breakfast place for you. read more

I have been a customer of this location for nearly 4 years. However, I ordered two sandwiches over the phone today and the person did not give me a total amount. I show up to the store and the prices they charged me were 30% higher than the prices on the online menu. I don't know if they're trying to trick people by not updating their online menu, but this will be my last time as a customer. With 30% increases in price this place is no longer what I consider a good value for what they provide. What used to be $10.95 for an average BLT now costs $14. It was good while it lasted, but it's time for me to find a new go to lunch spot. read more

This is right next to my husbands future clinic (ZENITH Injury Relief & Wellness Clinic) and so as the construction has been going on we've been making frequent visits to Starwood Cafe. Everyone is so friendly here. Everything I've ever ordered as been delicious. My personal fave is the avocado toast. They also make the perfect scrambled eggs which my kids love. The service is quick! The coffees are all really great. Love that we get to be neighbors with such a yummy and awesome restaurant!! Oh and if you're looking for a chiropractor look no further!! Great spot for breakfast, brunch, and lunch...lol. Came on a weekend on the later side of brunch. They have a good selection of options for breakfast and lunch. I love that they have a gravy option that doesnt have sausage in it. Portion sizes are pretty big - we all had something left over. Service is quick and friendly. Service leaves something to be desired. Our waitress took our order and brought our food but never came to check on us. Our food (2 eggs Benedict) was inconsistent and not as advertised. Three out of four of our poached eggs were incredibly over done, while one was good. I would've asked for the eggs to be sent back or get more but our waitress was MIA. We never got a refill on our mimosas or water. Once our check was brought I voiced the issue and was offered a whole new plate, which I would've taken if it wasn't when we were being handed our check.
