And didn't disappoint with the juke box. Aside from the food the prices were on point and right within my Sunday budget. I subtracted a star because someone came out and started mopping while we were eating... I don't know if it was a spill or if that was just the time that the floor gets mopped.... We came in early in the morning and the place was packed. I thought we wouldn't get a table because their booths are limited and there were 4 of us. Somehow we got a table. Staff was friendly and took our order quickly. Food came out fast and portions are huge. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the grits but they were delicious. The food came out extremely fast, was cooked well, and tasted great. Exactly what you'd hope for from a classic diner-style breakfast. The server was excellent, very attentive and quick to check in without hovering. The atmosphere was lively with music that was a bit loud, but it added to the upbeat morning vibe. The restaurant looked fairly clean, which made the experience even better. And for anyone who's heard the internet jokes. don't believe the hype. Not everyone's there for a fight. Most people are just enjoying good food and friendly service, just like we did. Overall, my first visit to Waffle House left a great impression. If there were such a thing as a national chain hole in the wall, Waffle House would be it. The ones that I've been to , they all look the same. They all have super friendly staff that wait on you hand and foot. The food is always good. We always sit at the counter so we can watch the action. Somehow, I always get the waitress that is SO nice and does a wonderful job. Maybe that's because I'm nice to them, and I'm not that ass that expects perfect service every second that I'm there. I got my usual, the everything plate, and it was cooked perfectly. The two waitresses were so much fun, talking and joking with us the whole time. This was my first time at this location, I usually go to the one in Plano, but was very happy with our service at this location! We came in around 8:30pm and Paula was our server. She noticed the air blowing full force on me and went to go turn it down. I wasn't going to ask since I know a lot of times they can't control it, but it was very sweet of her to notice and do what she could! My husband ordered one of the breakfast plates, and I just wanted waffles and a side of bacon. Paula just put it in as a full breakfast plate to save us money, which just added to the reasons she was great! I love their chocolate chip waffles, and the breakfast sandwich is always a winner too.
