This company takes "Let the buyer beware to another level". Take your business (and money) elsewhere. After paying for two diagnostic calls of over $300 I was quoted $2,200.00 to repair my furnace. Considering the furnace cost $3,600 to install six years earlier I thought this price was crazy. I called a local (they were local also!) independently owned contractor and the EXACT same job was done for $910.00 What's unfortunate is that they have the advantage of taking advantage when it is 40 degrees outside and you need heat. I feel sorry for those that get robbed by this company. To me this is no different then selling generators after a hurricane for three times the regular price. Stay AWAY! This company is a SCAM! They will charge your card even if you NEVER authorize it! They have NO professionals - only Sales associates! They tried to sell me a "maintenance kit" for $790!!! I purchased it few days later for $54.99 + $36.79 for cleaning Tool! (Take a look at the Image) I have 9 year old Weil-McLain. Called and ordered maintenance. Fully equipped "technician" came with iPad - I am absolutely honest - NO TOOLS - IPad - looked at my unit and informed me: "You need to order a maintenance kit for $790!!! and we will do service for $300" AND His recommendation was "Do it every other year" CAN you CALCULATE my "investment" in this Unit! Of course I asked "technician" to go.......BTW - my "damage" - credit card charge for $158 - BUT I saved will save a LOT! read more

If you like rude people who charge you a lot of money but don't fix the problem, Stashluk is perfect. They had three diagnoses for my water heater, charged me for changing a tank, and left it leaking. My HVAC was not working; they said the problem was the filter, charged me for changing it (which I usually do myself), and it didn't solve anything. Then, they refused to give me my money back. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! They are unprofessional and incompetent! They seem to no nothing about AC or much else. I had several companies come by before one simply did the work. It seems there are some very poorly run AC/HVAC companies out there that are simply charging the customer as much as possible and then making excuses for their lack of professionalism. MY AC was not cooling as well as it used to. I had STASHUNLUCKY come out and they sent a guy who looked at it and said it had frozen lines and they could come back in a day or two if we just turned it off. I asked if he could check the pressure on the condensor (a CARRIER), he said he could but it would cost just to put the meters on the system, I said fine. SO they also charge a visiting diagnostic fee of 170$ which IS NOT APPLIED TO ANY FURTHER WORK!! THIS IS UNUSUAL and means that they can't seriously diagnose anything or put the customer off somehow by excuses. Then he said it cost 250$ for the testing. Unfortunately for him, I have a backyard security CAM and it shows he never LEFT HIS TRUCK! I went out after a half an hour and he said he had already done the work. He lied. Then charged the 250$. I explained this to the owner and he didn't care and would not reimburse the 250$ As far as I can tell they don't fix or diagnose anything they verge on con-artists and are close to committing fraud as in claiming to do a service at the highest price they can make up AND THEN NOT DOING IT. I also had another group come out the next day..--RYAN AIR and they diagnosed the problem cleaned the coils--the trays were clogged they cleaned them and they checked the coolent levels BY ACTUALLY TESTING THEM! They added coolent ---this was all done in hour! And it was done with pictures and transparency. There was no frozen lines. Nor were the coils frozen. They were dirty and the trays were clogged. RYAN then came in and installed FILTERS custom built. This is a story of 3 or 4 terrible AC/HVAC vendors and STASHLUK being the worse of the bunch! AVOID THEM! YOU WILL PAY A PREMIUM FOR NO PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. read more

Unfortunately, my experience with Stashluk was not a good one. Basically I was told that it was $150 for the tech to come out and diagnose the problem with my Fujitsu mini split AC and then once the problem was diagnosed they will let me know how much for the repair. Up to that point, everything went well as the tech showed up in a timely manner. He looked at my system for approximately 10 minutes then informed me that it would be additional $180 to run the diagnostic. I explained to him that was not what the scheduler indicated on the phone. He offered me the option of him leaving. I need to get my AC fixed so I agreed. I then called main office immediately and they indicated that I didn't have to pay the $180 and that they would call the tech. The tech worked for another 30 minutes and then informed my husband and myself that he did not find anything wrong with the system and that we had to keep the fan on auto. I expressed my skepticism twice as we had tried this numerous times and the AC continue to malfunction. He set all three inside units and indicated they are all maintaining the set temperature. I then came back a few hours later and one of the units is completely frozen and spitting out water all over the floor. I called the manager and that didn't resolve anything as he insisted that the tech was excellent. I am unclear whether the diagnostic was completed as the tech said it was completed and the manager said it was not. I did receive an estimate via email the next day for $1800 for a cleaning for both the compressor and the three inside units. I would no longer trust this company to do anything for me and I am out $150 without knowing what's wrong with my AC. read more

If you want to spend over four hundred dollars to have your drain snaked these are your guys.

Let me start by saying Stashluk did install a new water heater and over flow tank at my parents place. $2000-2500 if I remember properly. They did the work properly but they are extremely expensive. After the installation we were still having a leak coming from pressure overflow pipe. They came back and said the pressure value from the street in the garage was faulty and that would be another $1000/3 hrs labor. After that we called another licensed plumber who did it in 1 hour/$400. Stachluk work ok just very very pricey. read more

These crooks tried scamming me. First they charged me $300 just for coming to the house and telling me what I had already told them - that the furnace fan was broken. Then they told the old story of the part being extremely hard to find. Then of course they said that part was very high cost. I found my part in 10 minutes for $150 when they said it was $500. I did the installation in ten minutes (and I am a complete novice) when they quoted $1000 for it. Stay away! read more

Please do not use Stashluk. Unless of course you want to be charged $600 to replace a $20 capacitor on your condenser that won't start. They are ridiculously overpriced for the smallest of tasks performed. If you like being way overcharged, go for stashluk. But if your smart you would stay away completely. I used Stashluk just last week to have AC repair work done. The last service repair was performed by Weltman. I regret not using them again! More so for the explanation and detail of how they came about for the price of your work completed. When I asked initially for a cost/labor breakdown I was told by an office employee that he had to speak with the technician and finance dept. I left my contact information to follow up with me on status. Never heard back. I called back for the second time and was told by another office employee "We just charge a flat rate". I agreed to the emergency call fee so i won't complain about that. Subtract that and the cost of the replacement sump pump and they charged what amounted to $375-$400 for a ten minute job. Ok, call it one hour with travel time. I know it only takes 10 minutes because i replaced the other sump pump a few days later. What a rip off. Don't use them. read more
