I have banked at Wells Fargo for over 20 years. At the Marion location service is usually ok, not…read moregreat. On 1/31/25 I took my 19 year old nephew there to open his first bank account. He needed it for his new job for check deposits. We got there at 9 am and ask to open and account. He was told by a man that he could not see him then, to come back after 12 o'clock. We live 30 mins from Marion, so we waited 3 hours. When we came back at 12. He said that it would now be 3 o'clock before he could see my nephew. This is terrible service and unacceptable. I thought about moving my personal and 2 business accounts to another bank because of the way we were treated. I then took him to First Bank across the street to open and account. THEIR Machine read it for $12. !!!$12!!!!! And shorted me $1138.00 I called repeatedly starting at 8:55 am next day. Finally got a human. Explained it all. She said the money would be put in my account. 2 days later, still not there. The check posted at the check writers bank for $12.00 NOW 5TH THIRD IS TELLING ME IT MIGHT BE UP TO ME TO GET THE 1138.00 FROM THE PERSON. Because their machine read it wrong and then let it post at the other person's bank. Meanwhile I'm short 1138.00 in bill money and it s Friday. It will be up to 3 business days (next Wed.)
