She is the best yoga teacher I have ever had. Thanks for showing me options that work for my body and making me feel like I belong. The studio is very clean. The mats are very high quality and INCLUDED in the rate. There is purified water there to fill your bottle up before a tough class. The people attending are usually very friendly. There is a small but really nice selection of performance yoga wear for sale. She sells Kambucha and the most delicious coconut waters I have ever had. I highly recommend yoga roots if you are advanced and looking for a place to expand your practice or you are brand new to yoga and just had a tough week and want to clear your mind, love yourself, stretch out and roll around with a gentle or restorative yoga class. Again, I really love the inclusiveness of this studio. Tiffany can teach the proper modifications to allow everyone of all shapes and ages to realize the benefits of yoga. For that, I am very grateful.

The baristas took the time to ask what we were looking for and helped us navigate the menu. The drinks were delicious, and we enjoyed them enough to stop by two days in a row while visiting Mackinaw City. On the first day, I ordered the Coconut Paradise. It was a little heavy on the ice, likely because it was made by a barista in training, but the flavor was well balanced. It was smooth, not too tart, and not overly sweet. The only downside was that the extra ice made it difficult to stir. We also tried the Bird's Eye Latte, which was sweet, flavorful, and very enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who prefers sweeter coffee drinks. On our second visit, I ordered the Maple Harvest Cold Brew. Since it uses real maple syrup, it took some effort to mix thoroughly, and I didn't notice the maple flavor until after stirring. We also tried the matcha, which wasn't sweet and had the rich, earthy green tea flavor that I love. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great drink in Mackinaw City!

Such a beautiful serene place to start a day with a wall of philosophers, poets, and travelers life advice on strips of paper adorning the walls. The first sign that jumped out at me "Be nice or leave" just great life advice for anyone. Trrrific coffee and a nice selection of muffins and beverage offerings. Shout out to Addison & Alicia the Super friendly faces in the morning behind the counter. Seriously, thank you all for being here we're a better world because of you all here so early.

Casey was so accommodating and helpful to us in every single way and left our entire crew wanting to come back to Alpena to do this on our own! As an instructor Casey was very calming and encouraging and made everyone on our team feel good about the fact that we know absolutely nothing about paddle boarding. It also made us feel better about the fact that we were sending expensive cameras out on the water! In a matter of minutes our people were up on their SUPs and out finding their way--it was awesome to see people go from terrified to get on the water to thrilled by what they could do. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for great local flavor and advice mixed with incredible outdoor activities in the area!

(This site does not offer access to Lake Huron.) The rental guy was under a nearby shade tree, so we once we figured out who to talk to, he was a master of efficiency, and got us out on the water quickly. Cash and cards are accepted. The price is reasonable. There is a portajohn on site. Food is available nearby. Parking is easy and free. Notably, there is a kayak launch platform that makes it completely easy and straightforward to get in and get out of your boat. No more wading, sloshing, tipping, wet feet, launch anxiety, etc. Once you launch, you can make your way toward a swampy area, or stay in open water. The swampy area offers a great water-level perspective on wetlands and water plants. I'm sure that many people have spotted notable birds and mammals in this area. If you choose the open water, there is lots of room for practicing your kayaking skills or for exploring the banks of the river. You can also head under a couple of bridges. We looked for bats, but didn't see any. Great place. Worth checking out.
