This is an area we are unfamiliar with and let alone we ended up pulling into this sketchy area as it was the closest off the freeway. It was so scary and we had to abandon our vehicle due to not being able to get roadside service right away. My family and I had to leave our vehicle behind an alley and run to find a safe place to find a tow company. I called a few places and they told them our situation and they were quoting $600+ plus to tow and drive us back to the Valley. I ended up finding Hawks via Yelp and decided to give them a call. I ended up speaking with a nice individual and he quoted us half the price. They came to our rescue and had to bring a flatbed due to the type of vehicle we had. He drove us all the way from Lynwood to the Valley. After going through such a traumatic and sad incident with my Father the Owner of Hawks drove us to our house safely he was kind, compassionate, he kept my sons spirits up and made us feel at ease and just safe. Had to leave the car at a gas station because AAA didn't have a tow truck for me at that hour. Told me it'd be 5-6 hours.... Not cool so left the car and went home via uber. Next day I get to the car but before I did, at 10:50am AAA told me a tow truck would arrive between 11:45-12:45. Great. Got to the car at 11:20am, and waited and waited and waited. Was assigned to a tow person which btw the reception extremely rude over the phone, told me it'll be actually another 2-3 hours, and then never called or communicated with me. Hung up on me. I ended up going rogue and called Fernando Towing. Owner answered and told me a flat fee and they'd be there in 20 min. Understanding of my situation, SUPER nice, and straight to the point. I told him I needed them here by 1pm because the gas station manager was going to tow the car. Fernando towing said no problem! We'll be there before then. Said and done! Immediately relieved the stress I was having. Of course the towing company AAA assigned came 10 min before Fernando Towing did. I said nope sorry - I canceled already, and your people were rude. Also there was no communication on where you guys were so I hired someone else, sorry! Thanks but no thanks! They ended up leaving. Jose was the worker who helped and he was very very very kind and understanding as I was having a tough day even before this car situation. I had just come back from chemotherapy and only parked for 5 minutes in a red zone as I was given permission to do so. Property management knew my situation and had no issue with it, yet the tow truck still took my car. I even explained to the company that I was given permission to park there by my property management, as it's the only way I can safely unload items in my fragile state after treatment. I also told them how sick I was, but they showed absolutely no sympathy and kept demanding their money. Thankfully, my property management stepped in and called Mr. C, who agreed to have the fees waived and got my car released. While I did get my vehicle back, the way this company operates feels extremely predatory and heartless.

It's one of the best decisions I have made this year. Will was able to come out with a day or so and run a diagnostics check, quickly locating the issue and showing me the results. He explained to me what the issue was, discussed options, gave me a full quote and a price - highly competitive. With me agreeing to what needed to be done, he ordered the part (Saturday) and came back the next day (Sunday) to install it. Incredibly helpful and so polite, he showed me the new part, walked me through what he was going to do and afterward even showed me the part he removed and explained the wear and why it was actually perfect timing. Within hours I was up and running again, good as new. I have NEVER had service like this from a dealership in all my years of being a car owner and driver (and that's several decades). Will also flagged other things that I needed to be aware of (including needing an oil change - which I will be getting him to come and do) but at no point pushed for me to do them there and then - zero pressure, just guidance. He repeatedly asked if I had any questions and was keen for me to understand what was happening and why - superb! He even cleared up the work area after he'd finished. Flawless. Aside from the convenience and Will just being an incredibly nice guy, his attention to detail and service are second to none. Friendly and knowledgable, he works hard to make sure you understand what he's doing, and is professional and polite at every step along the way. Will clearly cares and takes great pride in what he does. He's the only person I will be going to for my automotive service needs from now on. Highly recommended.

After that, they quoted me $250 for a one-battery setup and $350 for two batteries. The pricing was extremely unreasonable. At that point, you might as well buy a new battery yourself. I would not recommend their service. This place up charges through the roof. I called another place I ended up calling another company, High Voltage Auto Batteries, and they only charged me $125 for the same service. I would not recommend Green Towing, especially in an emergency situation. Their pricing felt like they were taking advantage of people who are already stuck and stressed.
