This Starter Bros is less than 5 min from my house. They have nice and friendly staff in the deli and Sushi department. I buy must of my deli meats and cheese from here they also have some low sodium meats here. I ordered Sushi from here as well. The sushi is fresh and made daily. Its not bad for a take out. This place is a mess. I came here because it's the only pickup location in the area. Only after arriving home did I discover they charged me for 9lbs of meat when I ordered 3. I had to drive back to the store. Wait for a long time to even get helped. So my 20 minutes of shop time that I planned to save cost me over an hour. How do you overshoot by 6lbs. Maybe they are trying to pad their sales? Even when they went back they came back with the 3lbs they packed it over.. 3.3lbs. .3 pounds is 5 ounces. It's ground beef not steaks there's no reason why it was that much over. I won't shop or order here again ever. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I just moved to corona from rancho and that may be why I'm so disappointed every time I shop here . Nothing is ever stocked . The produce is so bad and so moldy every time I'm in there . I've wasted at least 100 in the last two weeks with everything going bad in a day!! Hi there, As a loyal customer of Stater Bros Store #170 in Corona since it opened, I felt compelled to respond to this review of Fujisan. I've been ordering from them for years--including large sushi platters for Halloween, the 4th of July, birthday parties, and other celebrations--and I've never had a single issue. In fact, my family and friends always RAVE about the freshness, presentation, and quality of the food. It's one of the highlights of every event! Fujisan is a family-owned business that takes tremendous pride in their cleanliness, food preparation, and customer service. I've personally come to know the owners and their team over the years, and I can confidently say that none of their staff have long hair. They are meticulous, courteous, and truly care about their craft. Reading this one-star review , from Patti M, was honestly appalling, not just because of the unfortunate experience, but because of the assumption that something malicious or deliberate may have occurred. That accusation is deeply harmful and doesn't reflect the Fujisan I know. If this food was delivered, it's entirely possible that contamination occurred during transit--perhaps by the delivery driver--which is worth considering before making serious claims. I hope customers reading this take the time to form their own experience. Fujisan has always delivered outstanding sushi and service, and I'll continue to support them proudly. The dog was smelling and putting the nose at the meat packages, and I saw doing the same at the other isles. I usually come to your sushi place once or twice a week and have been a regular customer. However, during my last two visits, I had unpleasant experiences that have made me reconsider continuing to come in. Most recently, when I tried to change my order and asked for the sauce on the side instead of on the sushi, the staff member rolled her eyes. When I expressed that I felt the response was unfriendly, she told me I was being too sensitive and that she thought we were friends because I come in often. I don't believe being a regular customer should result in being treated dismissively. Because of this interaction, I've decided I will no longer be ordering sushi or making purchases here. Sadly had a strange experience this morning, ran out of fiber gummies so decided to pick some up. I drove to Stater Bros. The moment I walked in I felt a set of eyes lock in on me, I look over at the register and Ariel who looks like a supervisor is staring at me like a hawk. So it was cold this morning so I tossed my Dodger sweatshirt and yes I'm bald (not by choice) but I had some issue locating the fiber gummies so I asked for assistance and after being pointed in the right direction I headed down to the correct isle and there is Ariel staring a whole at me. Look I get it I'm sure you've had some issues with some characters but I am just here for fiber. There is no reason customers should be made to feel this way. read more

Came here needing help with finding some specific Manwich Mix, Chili, and a few other things to make a large dinner for some friends, and I found a worker named Julian G, this guy helped me with literally everything! I had so many questions about meat, specifically steaks, what one to make, and he took the time to help me with everything. Not only that, he even helped me find a few things that I couldn't get at my local Staters!! Julian is very knowledgeable, and I can tell he is passionate about his job, which is hard to find these days in people! Thank you to Julian G for making my shopping experience the best! Story time! A client of ours was doing a donation drive for the fires and I went in early last Friday to get some items. I have been shopping at a stater Brothers for over 40 years. I have been shopping for the one on eagle Glen parkway for at least 20 years. Someone wrote a nasty review about the Fujsan sushi. They claimed there was hair in the sushi and it was terrible. I know these people very well and their products are above reproach they are very fastidious about the cleanliness of their workspace themselves and I believe this was an unfair reveal. This has always been my favorite Stater Brothers to shop at, but even more so since Charlene provided me with such great customer service! Stater Brothers is one of the only stores that carries this face wash and when I came in a couple days ago, they were out of stock. Charlene wrote down my name and number and let me know she was going to inquire about when they'd get it back in stock and she'd give me a call. Two days later, she gives me a call to let me know they have it in stock. I walked in the store and she had it ready to go for me right away! The best part is, she remembered my face from two days ago, saw me walk in from the office upstairs, called the check stand to let the checker know I was in her line ready to pick it up, and the checker handed it to me. Pretty incredible for her to remember a two minute encounter and me specifically from a couple days ago. This is beyond exceptional customer service, I will always come back to this location! I've lived many years near a Stater Bros and it has always been my very least favorite place to go. Junky, old, no selection, and definitely behind the times. So it always had a negative appeal to me.... until I started shopping around in other cities. Wow! Stater Bros., in general, definitely is a great market (except the one by my house)! And this particular one in Corona has got to be THE best grocery store I have ever shopped in. Hands down! Clean, organized, fully stocked, fresh, and friendly. Plenty of carts, rarely a long wait in line at check-out. Decent sized parking lot. Prices are comparable. Huge meat counter with so much selection and an absolutely lovely fruit counter, trays and bowls cut to order! This Staters, in particular, has smashed all negative connotations I have ever had about the chain. I've since shopped at the one in Fullerton and a couple other cities and found out that they are top notch. La Habra should be ashamed of theirs, in comparison. Definite shout-out to Corona Staters for their friendly and helpful employees, as well! No matter the department, they have been ready to please. I love the girls in the deli, especially. Great job! I've ordered fried chicken and deli sandwiches for Easter two years in a row from this location because of the flexibility of the deli workers to accommodate our timing, the food is always fresh and I'd order sandwiches from here versus Jersey mikes any day from now on. This is definitely my new go-to place for deli sandwiches! The fried chicken was hot and fresh, and soft so we know the oil was new. This location is clean, and big, they have a wonderful fruit and floral section. Compared to other supermarkets in the area, this place is great! read more

I ordered their Fujisan California Roll. They must have an angry employee or something. There wasn't just one hair in the food, but 5-6 long strands of black hair as well. Also there were a few short hairs. Sooooo gross. Itmakes me wonder what they may have done to the food! I called the manager and told her that I can see how one hair might possibly have landed in the food, but more than six! I told the manager something deliberate is going on. She offered to "let" me drive back to the store. I had just gotten home and started eating so I declined. She said she would pull up my order and refund me, so now I have to go looking for a refund. Oh, she is sorry. I told her she should go check the rest of the food. Personally, I would pull it all and find out what's going on. I also would have sent someone to my home to pick it up. Today, I drove across town for the sushi counter. When I worked at Dos Lagos I frequented the sushi counter because it was always fresh and very convenient, not to mention the sweet ladies making the sushi. Something has changed! Today, the combo platter and Cali roll platter were inedible. The rice had a very thick, pasty consistency. The rice in the Cali roll was almost slimy! I'd specifically asked the sushi lady if they were prepared today, to which she replied, "Yes". Needless to say, I was/am disapoointed and disgusted. I don't know if this was a bad day for sushi or if the process/products have changed but it was unacceptable. I was unable to return to the store due to the distance and obligations. I would greatly appreciate some insight as to what could have happened so that I can determine whether it's worth another try or if I should never return. Thanks in advance! read more

The food and the overall service and ambiance is excellent, unless you look different. There are men who you can tell are from a group home, but they come every weekend. Well the manager is on the PA constantly calling for security. All the upper management and some employees gather in the front and watch them. These men come every weekend.
