Who knew a liquor store out in Corona would have the exact bottle I was looking for, and at a reasonable price. I was hunting for a Japanese whiskey, and everywhere else wanted close to $120 if they even had it in stock. I was able to pick it up here for $70. I'm not from the area, but luckily it was only a slight drive out of my way. I even called ahead to confirm that the online price matched the in store price, which it does. The guy I spoke with was really nice and confirmed they had exactly what I was looking for. When I walked in, I was honestly shocked by their selection. Some prices were really good, some were average, and only a few felt overpriced. Overall though, they have a great thing going here with a strong selection. I even came across a few tequila bottles I had never heard of. After checking later, I confirmed I was right about the pricing. Most bottles were $5 to $20 cheaper than other stores or major retailers, with only a few specialty shops beating them by about $5. Highly recommend stopping in to grab a few bottles if it's not far out of your way. read more

Great selection no doubt. But I need to bring this up. My complaint is the amount of tax collected at checkout. Each time I've been there, I'm charged at least 12-14% tax. Riverside county has a 8.75% tax rate and nothing more. There is no additional city tax or anything else because no other business in the city of corona (within Riverside county) charges anything more. If this isn't ripping off your customers (fraud), I don't know what is! read more

Synopsis: Small unassuming independently owned liquor store in Corona that possibly might have one of the best, if not the best selection in Southern California for beer, spirits, and wine. The owner here also has a healthy barrel pick program for whiskeys. If you are a craft beer/ whiskey geek like myself, this place is a must. I came here the other day to pick up a couple of beers that a friend and myself pre-ordered. Another friend actually had me pick up a case of vodka that he had ordered in addition to a store pick bottle of whiskey. These trips that we make out here have to be efficient because it definitely is not close to where we live but with the selection, prices, and the specific store picks, the trip is almost always worth it. And I actually have been going to this place for years. The first time I went is when I was visiting my girlfriend at the time's parents house. They live in South corona and I found this place on Yelp. When I first walked in, I couldn't believe the selection they had especially since the store does not look that large from the outside. They have a few rows in cases dedicated to spirits. They also have a great selection of not that easy to get beers. So if you're in the know, this is a whiskey and beer person's paradise. Since I've been coming here, they remodeled and actually have a walk in fridge section that contains a treasure trove of craft beer. From time to time I like to pre-order bottles from barrels that Jazz picks from the distilleries. The prices are always pretty fair as well. Even with the allocated bottles I remember getting a bottle slightly above retail but definitely below what other places charge. This place is definitely one of a handful of stores I really love visiting in Southern California. read more

My buddy and I decided to come here to check out some local beers for a vacation. The place seems small at first but as you reach the back there's a pretty big cooler with a ton of beer in there! From what I could tell you can buy any beer single or grab the four pack. When you get to the point of checking out he makes the four packs for you if you picked different beers. It was definitely hard to choose - they had too many choices which is no complaint. The beers range from 3.99 and up - I spent around $46 for 7 beers but so worth it. If you are a beer lover and enjoy trying out new beers this is definitely your place. We recently moved back to San Diego after a short stint in Virginia. We had planned to buy a home there. We almost signed the papers, but we just missed California too much. One thing we did love there was a really low cost whiskey made by Bird Dog. It's their Jalapeno Honey flavor. We have been unable to find it at any of the local liquor stores, but I did an internet search and found out it was available here. It's a quick 2 hour drive from SD so we figured, 'why not?'. I called first to make sure that they had it in stock, I was assured that they had 3 bottles. So we set off! It's is a very quick drive, right up the 15N and within 1.5 miles of the exit, a right, a left and we were definitely in the right place (Google Maps is the bomb...and yes I know I just dated myself with that comment!) We walked in and were pointed to the correct spot. Well....he lied, there weren't 3 bottles, THERE WERE 4! And they cost $6 less than we ever paid in a Virginia ABC store (if you don't know what an ABC store is, YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW!). These guys even laughed at my lame 'I'll see you next week for 4 more!' comment. Out the door in less than 5 minutes, with a sweet complimentary box to carry our haul in. Standard overpriced cluttered dirty liquor store. A lot to choose from at a high price.

These guys are dishonest... crooked... I purchased an item, and noticed being overcharged for taxes... I asked the clerk what's the overcharge for? he says taxes... I asked what's the tax rate? then he proceeded to tell me that there's a "ATM Fee" (he never mentioned before) I asked him to refund my money because there's no legible signs indicating this crooked extra TAX OR FEE... he Shows me a 3/4 inch by 1.5 inch decal that says something I can't read without my glasses (very small Print)... I asked for a refund for the merchandise, and he refunds me without the $5 he charged for the "ATM FEE" This is Crooked and dishonest... I hope all Corona Officials check this place out for their crooked practices. They need to be honest with the consumer. I had to ask him several times for a correct receipt for my transaction... he would only get me a CC receipt... this is not right... If you work hard for your money... don't give it away to these crooks. read more

I placed an order and paid extra for express shipping 3 Business days. I received a confirmation that they have shipped it but then received another confirmation 2 days later saying they had shipped it. After 4 business days I checked tracking and it indicated that it is in Oklahoma (I live in Ohio). I am clearly not receiving this "express". I tried calling the number on their site to get reimbursed for the extra express shipping and it is a fax number(?) After sending an email, I did receive a call and received a refund for the express shipping which was good. But if you are ordering on-line, leave extra time. read more

This store used to offer great bourbons/whiskeys at a minimal markup for several years. Not any anymore, for example the Blanton's standard bottle has almost a $100 markup, never mind the rest of the bourbons & whiskies. Great while it lasted but greed won in the end. Being "friendly" doesn't warrant to price gouging. Luckily there are other stores who keep their prices close to SRP. read more

Honestly, this is the best liquor store for unique and wonderful finds at a decent price! Sure, I might be becoming an alcoholic. So I know where to find the best. For years my husband and I were going to Bevmo and enjoying their Saturday wine tasting (which they discontinued, boo!) and even our Bevmo in Corona would send us to this liquor store when they didn't have something! I like their giant walk in cooler full of beer. So many choices! I went there alone last weekend and found two great beers to enjoy that night. One was absolutely the best beer I have had, ever! It was called "Art of Darkness" By Ommegang. Just awesome and at a very decent price. Just telling you about it makes me want to go buy some more now! They also offer a really huge selection of hard alcohol and I come here for my friends holiday egg-nog bottles. I can't find these anywhere else. I especially love looking at what's in the case locked up- those super unique, I wish I was rich $$ Bottles and wonder what they taste like. I love to collect empty unique or cool colored glass bottles too. OK overall I just had to say, from now on this is the ONLY place I recommend to find great beer.
