Tomasi worked with me and my ideas and together we created a beautiful front entryway. The area was very challenging due to a slope and several trees. We now have an inviting, open, and useable entrance. We found Tomasi and his crew accommodating, polite, and always cleaned up the site before leaving daily. We are so happy with the results. Elite Northwest was competitive in price and are decent, honest people to work with. We intend to hire them again for other projects later this year.

See full description below. We hired Tomasi back in November 2022 to demo part of our existing patio, lay a new concrete patio, and install a cover over the concrete patio section so we could use the space as indoor outdoor living space. The concrete pour happened in December 2022 after the team demo'd the existing area. They did a great job and everything went smoothly. Everything after the concrete pour is where we started having issues. The area outside our house was left a mess with concrete rubble and rebar scattered about, the porch steps hadn't been rebuilt to our previously existing porch, and our crawl space had concrete rubble and trash inside it with no new cover being built yet. We had to ask multiple times for this work to be completed, in addition to the power washing and sealing the concrete like Tomasi had promised. He didn't want to finish the job until the cover came in, which was understandable until the cover was delayed from a January arrival time to indefinitely. After months of following up with him to try and get answers about the cover, we were eventually told that it would arrive on May 2nd. We followed up a few times before and were told Tomasi was in Hawaii and would pick it up and install it when he was back, but that it had come in. Fast forward another week without updates, Tomasi told us him and his wife had come down with Covid and didn't know when they would return from Hawaii. After months of the cover being pushed off, we gave the cover company a call and we were told they had no record of our order. We've been trying to remedy this with Tomasi who claims he's still not back from Hawaii for over a month now. Tomasi gave us the option to terminate our contract, and offered a partial refund if $2,547.75 due to the cover not being completed, which we decided to move forward with on May 20. I followed up on May 24 since we still hadn't received it with no response. I checked in again on May 31 asking if he could send over the termination contract by end of day 6/1 and received a lengthy reply telling me he won't be reimbursing me for the patio cover and will not send over a reimbursement settlement (which is no longer what we asked for, we just wanted the termination agreement, plus the $2,547.75 refund he offered us due to the patio cover not being completed). I checked in again on June 7, and he said he received the agreement the past Friday and requested some things be changed, but that we should have it that day or the day after. No updates, followed up again on June 10th with no response. At this point, it's been 6 weeks since we originally requested the termination agreement, and we just want to move on. I unfortunately can't recommend Tomasi given the work wasn't completed and at this point we can't even get a termination agreement sent to us or the partial refund he offered. I will update this review if we ever hear back or receive a termination contract, etc.

They are an excellent company to…read morework with for the following reasons: QUALITY - paver layout is beautiful, & they installed extra gravel & drainage pipes to address my "swamp" COMMUNICATION - I always knew exactly what was happening, when the workers/trucks would be here. Before work began, Jose responded promptly to my requests for changes in design, gave detailed drawings &estimates PRICE - it was a very fair price, and lower than the other bid I got for a simple rectangular design DESIGN - my requirements were a bigger patio that covers up the swamp. Jose came up with a plan that has curves to fit in well with the curves in my existing landscape, plus the swamp is gone! He gave me advice on which sizes of pavers would work well in the design. PROFESSIONALISM - every day the team was on time and left the area cleaned up. They laid and re-laid pavers until they were satisfied with the look. They spent a lot of time leveling and fixing places where water pooled on my lawn/old patio. They improved the downspout drains and crawlspace vents. Call them for your project, you'll be glad you did!

After 2 years living in our Issaquah rambler, we were tired of our grubby back yard. With a very…read moresloping hillside slumping into it, the constant roll of rocks, and puddling of runoff made the space not very enjoyable. Our small deck, and a big dirt patch was also not a clean or functional space for us or our dog - so it was time for a change. Once we set our minds to investing in a renovation, I met with 7 (yes 7!) concrete, rockery, and paver providers to discuss the projected heat their ideas, and solicit quotes. A number of the providers were visionless, one was rude, and another was wildly expensive (twice as much as any of the others). Enter Jose and J Zamora Construction. While my initial vision for the space was admittedly to have a concrete patio, with a paver retaining wall - after meeting with Jose, my mind changed. In the most genuine and non-pressuring tone possible, he educated me about the benefits of using pavers (repairability, less cracking risk, better drainage, etc). That, combined with both his understanding of the challenges of my property, as well as his unique lense on a design for our space - made Jose a stand out. I also greatly appreciated that when I expressed specific wishes, he did not take offense when those ideas didn't align with his initial recommendation. When some providers acted put-off when I said "I don't want to take out this tree" (etc.), Jose took it in stride and offered solutions rather than trying to convince me that my preference was unreasonable. After viewing our property, he was prompt, kind, and fair in his quote to us. His documentation was thorough and clear. That, along with his truly aesthetically, and functionally minded vision for our space convinced me to completely pivot from "I'm doing concrete", to "let's go with pavers". After hiring Jose, he recommended products that suited our combined vision for my yard, was transparent about potential overages, and ultimately executed a project that is beyond my dreams for our difficult space. His crew of 6 busted their behinds for 4 solid days to crack it out. They were prompt, respectful of my property and neighbors; and thorough in their daily, and end of project cleanup. They even went above and beyond to carefully re-lay our dog's invisible fence line, which was displaced in the underground drainage portion of our project. Ultimately, we're left with the addition of nearly 1000 square feet to our livable space. An area that started as a grubby dirt patch has become a clean and stunning use of space. It flows with the natural landscape, and looks cohesive with our very mid century home. We have had neighbors (known to us and new introductions) stop by with their jaws on the floor - one even saying "you've made this yard the showpiece of the mountain". Once we paint the house - our sweet little rambler will be perfection - and we have Jose to thank for so much of our exterior transformation. Other over the top service notes: -Rock disposal recycling run -Bark delivery after project completion -Spreading bark over worn front yard after completion

Michael (sales rep) was very helpful in walking me through the process and working within my budget. The job took no more than 2 days to complete, the team was very respectful and worked quickly. The end product was awesome (i'll attach pictures). But where they won me over was their quick resolve. I have a watering system, which one of the pipes under turf area, broke during the job. I found this out after the job was complete when trying it, which was over the weekend. Welp after letting Michael know, first thing Monday they dispatched someone to the house, who dug up the turf, found the broken pipe, fixed it, and re-laid the turf. I'm very happy with the work they've done and the business they run. Thank you!

All the important components were there including high quality materials. This company had my confidence and my business. The crew of 7, led by foreman Anderson, did outstanding work. As foreman, Anderson made onsite decisions that were brilliant and showed respect for my neighbors and my property. He worked right alongside the crew. The work progressed very quickly from demolition, and tree removal, to materials delivery, through excavation for the footings, quality drainage, wall building with backfill. They even moved my 6'x8' shed out of the way to build and then restored it to its original place! The crew clearly had a lot of respect for Anderson. They showed up early morning, worked a long day sometimes in the cold rain of December and never slowed their steady pace down. They tidied up the site at the close of each day and mitigated damage to existing pathways by putting plywood down to protect from heavy wheelbarrow loads. With the large crew my project was complete in 4 days! Nothing short of miraculous! I am very grateful for the work Aguiar Pavers did and highly recommend this company! 1st class, honest, knowledgeable!

However, a mishap costing us an extra $5K and communication with Luis left me feeling uncomfortable. I would not recommend him to others. I asked for 3 sides of our large backyard fence to be torn down and reconstructed. I said I wanted it to wrap around from our previous newer fenced section to our home. I asked for a walk-in gate. This was all in the LMS quote/bid. I asked Luis if we should do a walk-through before work began, and he said no, that wouldn't be necessary. This will be important later... By end of day 2, I realized they were leaving out a large portion on 2 of the sides. NO gate planned. I double-checked with Luis and he said other than the gate, which I guess was forgotten, that the 2 sections weren't apart of the bid. WHY would someone want to leave two 8-foot panels of old, withered, falling down fence between sections of new 7-foot fence? WHY would someone not complete a fence to the home, and leave a huge gap? That doesn't make sense. But, he told me it would cost an extra $5K. Unfortunately, I felt stuck since I wanted this job done, and they had already begun construction. I agreed, and now my project was costing us 1/3 more. On the 4th day, Luis called me while I was at work. He said the fence & gate were completed, and 2 of his guys would be waiting in my driveway for the FULL payment. I don't get cell service at the school I teach at, and as I'm driving home, I find out I'm responsible for racing to the bank within 20 minutes and picking up my kids from school. Impossible. Not only this, I find it unprofessional that there was no *walk-through* offered after the work was completed. He didn't want to give my husband and I a chance to look it over first? Make sure the craftsmanship was okay? I just don't agree with paying $15K for without this step. The next day, he was working another job far away so he couldn't collect from me. I offered to pay him the following day. Immediately Luis' texts became short, rude and made me uncomfortable. He claimed he couldn't pay "his guys" because of me. I even offered to pay him on the weekend, but he said he was out of town. He said, quote, "You have my money, but it is what it is." I'm sorry, the way you conduct your business has absolutely nothing to do with one client... the work literally JUST GOT DONE!! Banks are only open certain hours, and I have a full time job myself. He was paid the exact week that the work was completed, but after several tense text conversations. He would not text for 2 days and then demand to come by the next morning. "I will come by in the morning." No friendly greeting or even a question if that's ok with me. What?? One of his guys broke one of our in-ground irrigation sprinkler pipes, and when I told him my husband noticed this, I got no response until days later. I asked again, and he said it was all fixed. If I hadn't have said anything.. would he have told me?? For the additional $5K, we agreed to pay the following month. Luis sent me multiple Venmo requests. I tried several times to pay him via Venmo, but Venmo flagged it as "unsafe" and would not let it go through. Somehow, again, this was my fault, and I had to receive several curt texts. I asked him where I could send a check, and his response was "The address is on the bid". Just not .. kind. I always tried to be friendly and open. After our check was sent and cashed, we got no receipt and no "thank you for your business" email or text. Check sent, nothing. Lastly, he avoided questions about their warranty. On their website it says 2 years; on the contract, it states that the warranty goes by the materials - which I have no idea about. I asked several times, no answer. To this day, I have no idea if they'll fix something within a year or even 6 months. All in all, I'm left feeling unsatisfied about our business exchange. While the work seems quality, Luis' demeanor and the fact that we had to pay such a large extra cost for something I asked for in the bidding process leaves much to be desired. I hope this review will help someone.

Got several really good contractors off Yelp to come in and have a look, and bids were all over the place with no guarantees of plaster work or timing. Then, I met Blake the owner of Sandstone construction who was straight-up honest about the work required and confident his crew could handle the job. His bid was competitive and the timing was perfect (about two days later). I decided to go with Sandstone on this big project, and can say that the experience has been great with work coming out much better than expected. As the job began, the entire crew (Corso, Rick, Issac, Matt, Melissa, Steve, and others) were sealing up patches day by day. Then filling with sanding and buffing and then painting rooms by hand or spray machine. Finally, touchups to nearly all spaces in the house. The work lasted over 14 days, and this old house was transformed into something really special. The before and after pictures tell the story better than I can. Today, I look up at my coved ceilings and admire the high-quality workmanship. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Sandstone Construction for any of your bigger projects. Blake is not only a great listener but also is a down to earth individual with high character values. I remember Blake mentioning that he "doesn't have time to be dishonest," and got to see this in action when Blake joined his crew in painting till midnight to make sure the job was done on time as promised. Never have I seen construction company do that, so really a credit to Blake and crew on keeping up the momentum and finishing the work. In summary, I'm really grateful to Sandstone for taking the time and putting in the extra effort to make sure they delivered on high-quality work, on-time, and within budget. You will not be disappointed!
