I had a really good experience with Statewide. I found out about them in my local Sam's Club and signed an appointment for a sales guy to come out. The sales guy was very nice and helpful. He was willing to work within my budget and we signed the deal. Between the time I signed the deal and when the work started was about 6 weeks. They came to demo the bathroom and had all of the permits in hand from the City of Garland. The demo crew, plumber and the remodel crew were so nice, kind, clean and kept us informed of each step. The city inspector green tagged the work and said it was done to city code. On top of that we got a visit from a field supervisor to check up on the work. The bathroom was done within 10 business days and we are very happy. After reading some of the reviews on here it seems a lot of people have had bad experiences. What was key for my success was I knew what market rate was for the work I had done, I stood firm on the amount I was going to spend and I was willing to pay a little more to have it done right by pros who used great materials and pulled permits from the City of Garland. I also kept on top of everything that was being done in my home. I was checking brands and materials to see that they were top notch. I will be using Statewide again for more work down the road. read more

My husband and I were shopping at Home Depot and I saw the Ad, spoke to someone and that is how we got ourselves in this mess. Not sure why I give 1 star. From Ben Eskandari, the sale rep, Mr William-during construction and Mr. Castro one of the managers, are all about getting the MONEY. First check on 3/4/21. The contractors did not show up at my house until 2 weeks later, they ordered the wrong color shower pan which delayed them to start the job. Each day my husband would l have to call the office to get update . As I write, it has been over 4 weeks and we have an incomplete bathroom. This is very frustrating and very disappointing with the quality and time and the lack of professionalism. Huge mistake! We needed our bathroom remodeled and didn't have time to do it ourselves. Statewide is advertised on the radio and they had a huge promotion running. Before I get to the nightmarish remodel let me tell you about the salesman. Nick came by to do measurements and pick out material. We were told this would take an hour. Nick came by after we got off work and FOUR hours later he was wanting us to sign a contract. FOUR HOURS!!! I would've signed anything to get him the hell out of my house. If you sign the same day he said you get an extra 10% off, but only if you sign that day. That alone should have been a red flag and I should've thrown him out. Nick or whatever salesman that shows up will promise you a lot of things that somehow don't end up in the final work order. You have 3 business days to cancel. And Saturday is a business day for Statewide so don't assume it's not like we did. And when the salesman leaves, good luck getting hold of him again. He's sold his snake oil and moved on to another chump. I won't get into what they charged but it's disgusting. Statewide doesn't do any work. They have a bunch of independent contractors they hire to do the work. Which is fine but Statewide charges you double to basically delegate contractors. That's a guess because it's probably more. Nothing illegal about the practice but pretty sorry. Now to the remodel. They started in June. It's now September 10 and they are back for a 3rd time to fix the shower tile. Gonna just let you read the rest of the reviews. My experience was very similar. The workers doing the siding didn't give a rip shot about my home or providing anything near quality workmanship. They also left behind a mess I'm still cleaning up later including razor sharp pieces of metal and screws. This is the third time I went with a company advertised on the Ticket. They all talk a big game but in reality all general contracting companies pull from the same low rent, employment pool from the exurbs . It's just pathetic. It saddens me that American work ethic has been lost to the winds of time. Wait.. Just a note to thank the guys at Statewide Remodeling for the great job they did. We learned about Statewide thru Sam's Club and Home Depot. Gave them a call and the salesman( Mike Venable) came to visit right on time. We discussed our needs and pricing. This was a kitchen remodel, so he showed us samples of drawer pulls and cabinet material. We picked out what we needed. The team came out on time ,took measurements and made suggestions. Then came the installation.They came with all the cabinet doors and drawers precut and fit perfectly. Color is beautiful. Little woman is very happy, and isn't that what really matters. I would give them a zero for unscrupulous business practices. it took them 4 months to schedule the job and one month finish a partial bathroom remodel that should have taken them less than 1 week. Finally, they finished it the day before thanksgiving . We had a sigh of relief that we could use the bathroom again even though it was expensive. Today they called us to say that we owe them $3000 more and the price they charged did not include the glass doors. That was the discount the salesman offered if we signed it right then and we did. I would give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely DISGRACEFUL. I do most business dealings for my elderly grandparents. I got an appointment for a FREE ESTIMATE at the state fair and EXPLICITLY told them they would be speaking with me when they were to come out and all we were currently interested in was ONLY an estimate. When the day came (today, 10/10/16) I missed the contractor by 10 minutes and called back. Dispatch said they would correct this but then asked who I was - I told them I was the representative for my family and they left me in charge of the appointment (which I would have done the talking had they been here regardless) - they REFUSED then to send out the contractor or do any business unless the "home owners" were in. THIS is a terrible model. My family was offended. Most companies who have done work for us NEVER have insisted such a thing. My family and I both believe they merely just wanted a sales pitch or a guaranteed sale - we question now the idea of "free estimates." There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY - will we consider using this company at all based by this model for having refused to work with us in our given circumstance. Sent out by home depot. Wanted to retile a shower and a tub accent. Shower is approx 3' x 5' 7'h Wanted a basic subway tile (white) with a gray accent tile. Rep kept talking up Wedi as the best stuff for water resistance under the tile. Said only they use it....i found it on home depots website for $250 for 5 sheets (100sqft). Other items Faucets Shower door If you had to guess how much...what would that be? You are wrong.... Quote came to just under $20k. Guy said...we have 3500 in materials...i said ok...where does the other $16k come from?....crickets. He didn't leave a quote or a card. And laughed about us not calling him. I don't know who im more dissatisfied with statewide or home depot. It was odd that not once or twice...but 3 times i was asked if we had materials already...when setting up the appointment. I think this is a company to avoid or at least understand that you will be price gouged. read more

I could not recommend this company less. They have not started a job building a structured overhang in our backyard, 4 months after they were supposed to complete it. They don't communicate at all, they ignore requests for information, and never follow up. They take no action to get the permit squared away. I am sorry we ever talked to these people. So far, my bathroom vanity remodel has been a very bad experience. They delivered the wrong color cabinets. I ordered white and received gray. They are "encouraging" us to settle on the grey with very, very little discount. There is no way the gray cabinet with the tan quartz counter top is going to look good on tan travertine tile. The worst part is that to get the white cabinets we ordered, it will take 3 more weeks plus another week or two of installation. We are trying to put our house on the market so this is really costing us as we cannot list our house it in this condition. We paid a LOT of money for a vanity switch that doesn't include any plumbing moves. I am so disappointed that Statewide would not make this situation right. Now, I am going to have to find and PAY a painter to help us paint the grey cabinets white. I will say that the installers who have been here have all been very nice and professional. Management.....well, as I said, I thought they would have made this situation a little more palatable. I will post again after this catastrophe is concluded. The glass in our sunroom door shattered for the second time and each time statewide was very slow to replace it. And when they did arrive to replace the glass BOTH times the glass was the wrong size. So, it took even longer to finally get the glass properly replaces, 4 months.... In the meantime, we had to tape up the door to prevent wind, rain, and hail from entering the house... it took so long to finally get the glass replaced the tape ruined the paint and statewide said they weren't responsible for that. To top it off, when the glass was replaced it was full of scratches... Terrible!!! read more

Ordered a sunroom in March. After weeks of calls with multiple contacts at the Company...Unit just arrived last week. Now getting told that it could be 2-3 weeks before they will even know when they can install the unit. No matter who you talk to there you never get a straight answer (Believe this is by design) only the run around. Frustrating! Heard good things about the Company prior to my experience but can tell you I would not use them again! Maybe some day in the near future (2021-2022) my unit will be installed. When did it become acceptable business practice to simply text potential customers? I filled out there inquiry form online wanting to get 11 windows replaced. I expected a call to discuss, but instead got a text asking how many we wanted to replace. Then came the hard sell trying to set up an appointment without learning anything about us, or what we were looking for. I tried to discuss, but just got more about how THEY do business...not how I do. They certainly don't do "salespeople" any favors by playing into that less than stellar reputation. We had an awesome experience with Statewide. My parents were some of their first customers back in 1994 and the windows and doors still look brand new. The quality of the windows in my parents house made it an easy choice to have them come out for our doors. We have two giant 8 foot sliding doors opening to the back yard. These were single pane 1970 windows and after paying high electric bills we were done. I did my own research and found that most window and door companies do not warranty the work or stand behind their products. Limited lifetime warranty amounts to 6 months or 2 years. Also most doors are made of pvc so they will warp. I called statewide. They were out within the week. No problem. The salesman Mike was really nice and I did not feel he was pushy at all. I told him we were on a budget so the biggest problem the doors first, and windows later. He suggested doing a little at a time, but fixing the doors first would help with the high electric bills. The doors are high quality double glass insulated. They are on a 3 point lock system with screens. Bryan called Tuesday to set up installation, they arrived Wednesday the 8th to the distribution center, and were installed Thursday the 9th. Wow. It was exactly 5 weeks from the order as promised. It took all day to install the two doors but they are amazing. The install crew was so professional and kind. I was really impressed. They had been installing for 14 years with statewide. I love the doors. A huge upgrade. I can't wait to get the windows done. It was like going from a regular tv to a high definition television. If you need doors or windows call statewide. Amazing! Lifetime warranty. Never expires. No one else offers that. Plus their customer service is the best. We will be life long customers. read more

It was our first major remodeling at our house and will never use Statewide again after our experience. They did a mediocre job for a PREMIUM price. We were overcharged on the entire remodel and feel taken advantage of. They do not have good customer service and the job was not satisfactory. They definitely do not prioritize their customers. The workers installed our titles incorrectly. They had new workers come in and fix their mistake. It was still wrong. Finally a third set of workers came in to finish it. We were still unhappy with the completed work. Our design specialist at the time was Robert Silvani. He gave us an estimate and told us he would personally come in everyday to check the work. He never showed up again. Overall, we do not recommend using Statewide for any remodeling services to your home. If we could go back in time, we would have used another remodeling company. read more

These guys deserve zero stars. We had an in home consultation with Statewide on January 11. After spending hours with the sales rep we signed a contract - the only way we could get 20% off was signing right then and there. High pressure sales topped with exhaustion from listening to the rep talk for hours can definitely affect your decision making. My husband and I discussed after the rep left and both had feelings of regret about signing the contract. The contract includes a 3 business day cooling off period. Saturday's are a business day for sales so take that into account. We cancelled the contract on Tuesday January 14 - the contract stated the 3rd business day was 12AM on January 15. We received our credit card statement on January 22 and saw the card had been charged for the entire - overpriced - bathroom renovation on Monday January 13. They took the money before the cooling off period was complete. We have attempted to contact the company and are just sent to voicemail. We have filed a complaint with the BBB and Home Depot, which is who set the appointment. This company is ridiculous. The sales visit felt sleazy; options were all higher end with no itemized billing provided. They sold us a "custom" bathroom, but hardly allowed us to make choices. Sales had no solution for closet doors we wanted replaced in the bathroom and told us they would not offer or provide a toilet, any light fixtures, mirror or bathroom fan. read more

The woman on the phone said, "We really prefer that he be there. Is that very difficult?" Hey - I'M THE DECISION-MAKER in my house. I'm the one who determines WHO gets the job and whether you get paid. If meeting with me isn't enough, then you don't need the check that I sign, either. I'll find another contractor. read more

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use this company! They are remodeling my bathroom right now and what I was promised and what I'm getting are two different things. I was supposed to get a 72" vanity and got a 67 1/2 vanity with really small drawers and no hardware on the drawers. I had ordered white sinks to go with the tub I got sinks the same color as the vanity top. Since the tub is rather high I was told that there would be like a step going into the tub, it's nowhere to be seen. They told me that my shower stall would have to be just a bit smaller, it's tiny. They were aware I'm disabled and I need to put a chair in there I really don't know how it's going to fit. The worst part is that they could have made the small wall between the the shower and the tub half the as wide and put in a bigger shower. The problem is they don't send real designers they just send cheap high pressure salesmen. With this company you overpay for something that doesn't look at all like what you are promised. read more

Had this company come out to quote a small master bath (11x8) remodel yesterday. Ed, the rep, was nice enough, but there were some issues. We are looking to have tile floors installed, frameless glass shower, new tub and vanity. Quote was $48,000. That is almost 1/4 the cost of our entire home! When asked to provide a breakdown of the costs, Ed said he couldn't provide that info. I asked for recommendations to help reduce overall cost and he was unable to respond. The estimate consists of vague tasks circled on a piece of paper. No measurements or specifics in terms of materials. In what world would we agree to pay $48k without an itemized quote?! No thank you. I have a feeling that this is just a standard cost they quote to everyone in the hopes that they'll hook a sucker. read more

THE NIGHTMARE CONTINUES It's been about 3 months now since I wrote my initial review and I have yet to get resolution on the absolute horrible installation of my door. I received an email from one of the owners, Robert Levin in May, ensuring me that 'I have asked my window production manager to reach out to you today and send our new service technician to your house and review the issues.' Jimmy did eventually contact me, but it was several weeks later. He eventually came out to see what the issues were and acknowledged the horrible work done. After few more weeks went by, a technician finally came out to fix the door, paint, fix the trimming that was ruined by Statewide. He looks everything over, then tells me that he was not notified by Jimmy about the multitude of items that needed to be resolved. On top of that, the installer admitted that Jimmy ordered the wrong trim and they will have to come back again to fix everything. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I took time off work to be there for the installation to make sure everything was done properly and Statewide still screwed up. Anthony Pallitto gets involved at this point and assures me that everything will be done correctly, that he will make sure I'm a priority and he will personally oversee everything. He said he will make sure I am well taken care of and apologized profusely about how horribly I was treated and also acknowledged the horrible work that was done. Two weeks ago today, we scheduled an appointment for this Saturday. Guess who called to cancel because he double booked the appointment??? Yep Anthony Pallitto called and cancelled an appointment that was scheduled for 2 weeks. So much for treating me like a priority. It's to the point where Robert Levin, the owner can't follow thru on his word, Jimmy is inept at notifying the technician what needs to be done and order the correct material, and Anthony Pallitto, the guy who said i was his top priority, can't follow through either and is cancelling appointments made two weeks in advance. I left a message for Brian Thompkins, Anthony's boss. It will be interesting to see how long he takes to respond and what he says. This is beyond sad. Do your research, get multiple quotes - they will be 80 - 120% higher than your average quote. And you will never be provided with an invoice showing what you paid for. They refuse to tell me how much, for example, we paid for our bathtub. It's downright ridiculous. And they'll give you a well-rehearsed speech on why that is their policy as they talk over your concerns. And then your emails will go unanswered (thanks, Ms. Blood!). But they don't care, you're on the hook with GreenSky Finance at that point. Work site was left dirty, wall was damaged, tile was cracked. They came out 2 different times to fix these issues and they are *still* not fixed. They seem to have replaced the wrong tile and the mudding on the wall was atrocious. I just plain don't want them in my house again and just want to be done. Don't make the same mistake we did. Oh - almost forgot. The salesperson was 45 minutes late and sat in front of our house for 20 of those. Which is really odd, but I've noticed this mentioned in other reviews, so there you go. Stay away. ETA: I put this ^^^ post up originally on FB on 6/20. We heard back from Kimberly that night and we took the time to write a lengthy email explaining our issues with the work done. Very expensive and customer service is abysmal and if you ever have damage, their contract reads that their services are proprietary and can only be serviced by their company.
